Our life consists of patterns and cycles. This poem is about said cycles and how, no matter how hard we try, we'll always end up spinning within them.

"Conclusion of a Resolution

"
Another circle is complete, Further away than ever before. The light dimming slightly Upon the sundial's floor. The vow to change Echoes inside the human mind. But we'll stay the same forever, Pursuing a fleeting endeavour. The clocks who's gears will never rust, The memories of before reduced to dust That's swept up in the heart of nostalgia To remain there forever in silence. The ink of hope spills from the pen of ambition. The unknown words causing confusion. Their meaning lost in the cycle just complete With the ink surrounding our aged feet. Another age confined to fleeting pages Which yellow with forgetfulness. Some passages written in red To remember the distress of the dead. Another grain of sand, Falling to join the dunes. Will we remember the answers That we're written upon the runes? The plan set in stone Fading with the silent sea breeze. The blank face makes us panic And brings us quickly to our knees. The sun rises again in the blissful sky, The start of another cycle has begun. The pattern for eternity Until the angels song is sung.
