Method of Travel (Expository) You need to travel from your home to a place 40 miles (64 kilometers) away.

Compare the different kinds of transportation you could use. Which method of travel would you choose? Give specific reasons for your choice. In our world today, there are so many options you can choose from when you want to travel. Gone are the days when you can only travel by foot, horse, donkey, camel, or some other beasts. As a result of centuries of inventions, we can now travel by bicycle, motorcycle, car, van, bus, ferryboat, train, and airplane. A bicycle or a motorcycle is economical for one or two persons who are traveling. The bicycle does not use gasoline while the motorcycle does. You can travel faster in a motorcycle than a bicycle. Both can only carry personal bags but not advisable to carry luggage. A car or a van is much more costly than the bicycle or motorcycle. On the other hand, these vehicles travel faster and can carry more baggage. If you want to travel conveniently, you may also choose the bus. You can relax, stretch out, and use the rest rooms in gas stations during stopovers. If available, you can also use the train. It can reach far away places and can carry more cargoes. However, it can be noisy and uncomfortable in economy cabins. There are also ferryboats that travel on water. If available in your area, this is also another good option to use to reach your destination faster. The fastest way to travel is by air. By comparison, the airfare is higher than the bus, train, or ferry. If you are in a hurry, the helicopter is the best choice of travel. You can also bring boxes of souvenir items if you want to. Similarly, you can unwind and enjoy the amenities while you are on board. If I need to travel to a place that is forty miles away, I would have to consider the purpose of my travel and the allowable time that I can spare. Nowadays, I can easily travel by car, van, or bus. These vehicles can reach distant places and allow you to carry more items. You are also able to reach your destination at the most convenient time possible. 340
