Bridging the Gap between Young Women and Their Caregivers

Who: Spanish speaking young women ages 13-16 who have been impacted by sexual abuse and their caregivers. Members must be comfortable communicating in Spanish for a portion of group. What: For caregivers: An opportunity to connect with the young woman in their care. To learn and practice communication tools that may increase positive interactions and trust. For the young women: An opportunity to positively interact with other young women and their caregivers in a safe and confidential environment. To learn and practice tools that will help them express themselves in a healthy way. Where: YWCA RISE Center Logan Square Site 2858 W. Diversey Chicago, IL 60647 When: Saturdays from 9:45am-11:30am starting on March 23rd, 2013. Group will meet every Saturday for 8 weeks. Last group will be on May 18th, 2013.
