I know a lot of American football. My father taught me and I have kept it in my mind. That knowledge is going to be passed to you. I`m going to teach you about flags, touchdowns, yards, offense and defense, pro bowl and super bowl.

Intro. and Basics

First comes flags. Each coach of every team has a red flag. That flag stands for a challenge. That flag means that the referee thinks you did something wrong or right, but the coach disagrees with the referee. If the referee is right, they take a timeout from you. The yellow flags the referees have are penalties. The coach cannot disagree with that penalty. There are like about 8 or more penalties. Some are pass interference, false start, offsides, safety, personal foul and more.

Next are yards. Every team in the offense has to advance 10 yards in 4 tries (downs). If they advance the 10 yards or more, in one of the 4 downs, they get 4 new downs. If the offense doesn't advance the 10 yardsthey have 3 options: go for it , kick a field goal or punt the ball.If you go for it and you don't advance the needed yards, the other team gets the ball in the yard you left the ball and starts a 1st down and 10.

Teams
In the NFL there is something called conferences. One of the conferences is called AFC and the other one is NFC. There are 4 divisions in each conference. Each division has 4 teams. Each conference has 16 teams in total 32 teams.

The AFC conference teams are: East – Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and New York Jets North – Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers South – Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans West – Denver Broncos,Kansas City Chiefs Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers The NFC conference teams are: East – Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins North – Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings South – Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers West - Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks

An offense is really important to NFL. We are first going to learn about touchdowns. Each touchdown is worth 6 points. If they make a touchdown, the offense decides if they want to take an extra point OR a two-point conversion. If you are losing by a few touchdowns, I suggest take a 2-point conversion. If the offense doesn't get the chance to make a touchdown, they could kick a field goal that earns them 3 points. The kicker has to kick it through a yellow post.

Offense

There are a lot of celebrations for touchdowns. Some of them are: the dunk, salsa dance, throw the ball really hard to the ground [spike],and dances. Now positions: QB [ quarterback], RB [running back], WR [wide receiver], TE [tight end], K [kicker].

While one team plays with its offense, the other does it with its defense to prevent the other team from scoring. The defensive positions are: defensive line, linebackers, safeties, and cornerbacks. One of their top priorities is to make plays for the offense to lose the ball or yards, for example: interceptions, fumble recoveries, and sacks.

Defense

Pro Bowl

Pro Bowl and Super Bowl

The Pro Bowl is played in Honolulu, Hawaii a week before the super bowl. It is between the best players of each conference selected by the fans. They only play for pride and money. To be selected for the pro bowl is one of the most important recognitions for a player.

Super Bowl
The Super Bowl is the last game of the season and its played by the best team of the NFC against the best team of the AFC who qualified by winning their respective divisions and playoffs. To win the Super Bowl is the main goal of any team or player. The last super bowl winner was the Baltimore Ravens in XLVII, or Super bowl 47.
