Assistive Technology Project

Requirements: UbD (20 points) o Follow the UbD format at http://backward-designmodel.wikispaces.com/Sample+Understanding+by+Design+lesson+plan. o Upload to your Wiki page. Video recorded lesson (30 points) o Your video should directly reflect your UbD. o Minimum of twenty minutes, no more than 30 minutes. o You can record the introduction, middle, or end, but you must demonstrate use of an assistive technology. o Any videoing recording device (video camera, camera, cell phone, etc.) can be used as long as it can be uploaded to your Wiki page. o Your video must include sound. o Do not show student faces directly, unless you have permission. You can use the forms that your school uses. Be sure to scan and send permission forms to me prior to submitting your video.

Video Production/30 points total Speaks Clearly/5 Speaks clearly and distinctly all of the time and doesnt mispronounce any words. Video production establishes a purpose at the beginning and maintains that focus throughout. Cohesive video production. Video production is 20 minutes in length or longer. Video did not rock/shake and the focus was excellent throughout. Speaks clearly and distinctly all of the time but mispronounces 1 or more words. Speaks clearly and distinctly most of the time and mispronounces 1 or 2 words. The purpose is somewhat clear but many aspects of the video production seem only slightly related. Does NOT speak clearly and distinctly most of the time and/or mispronounces more than 3 words. It was difficult to figure out the purpose of the video production.

Point of View Purpose/10

Establishes a purpose at the beginning, but occasionally wanders from that focus.

Duration of Presentation/10

Video production is at least 15 minutes in length.

Video production is 10 minutes in length.

Video production is less than 10 minutes in length. Problems with rocking/shaking and focus.

Videography Clarity /5

Video did not rock/shake and the focus was excellent for the majority of the video.

Video had a little rocking/shaking, but the focus was excellent throughout.
