The Bridge Project

Project Goal Your goal is to create a bridge out of toothpicks or Popsicle sticks which can hold many times its own weight. Checkpoints  Create at least 3 blueprints for 3 different bridges.  Analyze your blueprint and predict the strength of the bridges.  Note: You will be expected to do some internet research for this and be able to explain and defend how strong you expect your bridges to be.  Test all three bridges on your own and figure out what works and what does not work.  Based on your working bridge, create 2 more bridges that you expect to work better than the first 3 and explain why you think they should work that well. (By the end of this challenge, you will have created at least 5 bridges)

Challenge Hold up at over 100 times the bridge’s mass.

Advanced Challenge Accurately predict which of your remaining 3 bridges will hold the most, and how much they would each be capable of holding.
