RECAP: Tacoma held a 6-0 lead before surrendering 6 runs on 4 hits with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th at Tacoma lost to Oklahoma City
6-7 in 10 innings on Wednesday afternoon. 2B Nate Tenbrink (4x4, R, 2B, HR, 3 RBI) led the club at the plate with a 4-for-4 effort,
including a 3-run home run that helped give the Rainiers a 4-0 lead in the 4th inning. SS Nick Franklin (3x5, R, 2B) collected 3 hits with a
double and a run scored, and CF Denny Almonte (2x4, 2 R, 2B, HR, RBI) notched his 3rd home run of the season after belting a solo shot
in the 7th. Starter James Paxton (5.0,3,0,0,3,3) allowed 3 hits in 5.0 shutout innings, but didn’t figure into the decision. RH Brian Sweeney
(2.1,0,0,0,0,2,WP) struck out 2 in 2.1 scoreless innings in relief. LH Bobby LaFromboise (1.1,4,5,5,2,1,HR) surrendered all 6 of Oklahoma
City’s runs in the 9th, while RH Jhonny Nunez (1.0,1,1,0,1,0) was on the mound when the winning run scored in the 10th and was dealt
his 2nd loss this season.

OF NOTE: RH Danny Farquhar has allowed only 1 earned run in his last 14.0 innnings. During the streak he has limited opponents to
.192 (10x52), while walking 2 and striking out 20. Since allowing 2 runs on April 13 vs. Salt Lake, Farquhar has lowered his season ERA

PCL PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Tacoma Rainiers RH Jeremy Bonderman was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for
April 29-May 5. Bonderman made 1 start for the Rainiers over that period, tossing a season-high 8.0 scoreless innings in Tacoma’s win
over the Tucson Padres on May 2nd. He surrendered just 2 hits and struck out 7 with 1 walk allowed. The Pasco, WA native is 2-3 with a
3.87 ERA (18 ER, 42.1IP) with 27 strikeouts and 10 walks over 7 starts with the Rainiers in 2013. This season is his first pitching in
organized baseball since his 2010 campaign with the Detroit Tigers. Bonderman underwent ‘Tommy J ohn’ surgery in April of 2012.
Bonderman is the third Rainiers player to be selected for a weekly league award over the last two weeks. Infielder Nick Franklin was
named the PCL Player of the Week and right-hander Andrew Carraway was selected as the PCL Pitcher of the Week for April 22-28.

RECAP: The Generals out-hit Huntsville 5-4, but it wasn’t enough as J ackson was shutout by
Huntsville 1-0 on Wednesday night. Starter Chance Ruffin (6.1,3,1,1,1,4,WP,BK,HB) recorded his
first loss of the season, allowing 1 run on 3 hits in 6.1 innings. Relievers Forrest Snow
(1.1,1,0,0,1,2) and Kyle Hunter (0.1,0,0,0,1,0) combined to hold the Stars over the final 2.0 innings.
RF Julio Morban (2x3, BB) and 3B Vinnie Catricala (2x3, HBP) each recorded 2 of the Generals 5
hits, while C John Hicks (1x4, 2B) recorded the team’s only other hit.

OF NOTE: RHP Taijuan Walker has allowed only 2 earned runs in his last 5 starts (6 R), lowering
his season ERA from 7.20 to 1.54. Overall this season, he is 3-2 with a 1.54 ERA (6 ER, 35.0 IP) in
6 starts. He has limited opponents to a .150 (18x120) average, while walking 20 and striking out 39.
John Hicks has hit safely in 15 of his last 16 games, batting .364 (24x66) with 11 runs scored, 5
doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 8 RBI. INF Steven Proscia went 0x3 yesterday, snapping his
hitting streak at 10 games. During the streak he hit .366 (15x41) with 9 runs scored, 3 doubles, 1
triple, 2 home runs and 4 RBI. OF Julio Morban has hit safely in each of his last 6 games, batting
.391 (9x23) with 5 runs scored, 2 doubles 2 home runs and 4 RBI. INF Vinnie Catricala has

Opening Day roster features 11 of the Mariners’ Top-30 prospects, according to Baseball America.

HITTING FOR THE CYCLE: Abraham Almonte (4x5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, HR, 4 RBI) completed the cycle
on April 27 at Chattanooga. It was the first cycle in J ackson franchise history, dating back to 1998,
when the Generals were known as the West Tenn Diamond J axx. But it was the 2nd cycle in 10
days for a Mariners prospect after Carlos Triunfel accomplished the feat for Triple-A Tacoma on
April 17. Almonte hit a solo homer in in the third inning, a bases-loaded triple in the 4th inning, and
singled in the 5th and got his 5th RBI of the evening. After being called out on strikes in the 6th
inning, Almonted lined a 2-2 pitch to right field for a double to complete the cycle.

RECAP: The Mavericks allowed 7 runs over the 6th and 7th innings breaking a 2-2 tie as High
Desert lost to Visalia 4-9 on Wednesday night. Starter Jordan Pries (5.1,7,6,5,2,3,2HR) recorded
the loss, allowing 6 runs (5 ER) on 7 hits in 7.1 innings. RH David Colvin (1.2,4,3,3,0,3,HR) was
charged with 3 rund on 4 hits in 1.2 innings in relief, while RH Blake Hauser (1.0,0,0,0,0,0) tossed a
1-2-3 8th inning. SS Chris Taylor (2x4, R, RBI) recored the team’s only mult-hit game, while CF
Jamal Austin (1x4, R) 1B Ji-Man Choi (1x4, R, 2B, RBI), DH Daniel Paolini (1x4, RBI) and RF
Kevin Ri vers (1x3, RBI, BB) each recorded 1 of the Mavericks hits.

OF NOTE: INF Ji-Man Choi has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 games, including 9 straight games

RBI and 13 walks. During this stretch he has raised his average from .289 to .370. Henry was selected by the Mariners in the 18th round of
the 2012 J une Draft out of Florida International University. The Florida native spent most of 2012 with the Pulaski Mariners of the
Appalachian League. In 58 games he hit .271 and led the team with 42 RBI and 8 home runs.
