The definition of motivation and the psychosocial theory of motivation is what will be covered in brief detail within this article. Psychosocial Theory of Motivation: Psychosocial theory of motivation is a study made by Psychologists on what motivation is and how it works and benefits people. Psychosocial theories have been said to prove that motivation for higher accomplishments can only be obtained once the motivation for lesser accomplishments has been sorted and achieved. Imagery is more about visualizing. You will learn how to associate a simple breath with calming colors, or serene settings, peaceful things. In this article I will go into brief detail about time management tips for both students and teachers. Because they are two separate topics within a topic, I will split the article into two segments. Time Management Tips for Students: As I have already mentioned it is of utmost importance that students know about time management. Students need to have balance between what they learn in the classroom, study and time out. If they do not have a balanced time management plan in place they are quite likely to burn out (so to speak) or in the very least, lose their ability to focus on their learning appropriately enough to achieve good grades and acceptable pass marks in examinations. Outside of the classroom learning time, students need to allocate at least half an hour per subject for study to undertake from the comfort of their own home once school is out for the day. How the student wants to schedule this time should be left up to them. This will give the student the responsibility of organizing their own time management, therefore setting goals for themselves to work towards and accomplish. It is suggested to the students that they allocate some time out for themselves straight after school for relaxation and a refresher. A drink and a healthy snack will refresh their mind and brain enough to get in to the study mode later on at their own scheduled study time within their own prepared time management plan. Time Management Tips for Teachers:
As with students needing to have a suitable time management plan in place, it is as important for teachers to also have a suitable and appropriate time management plan in place. Teachers can very easily fall into the trap of doing too much, and not giving themselves the balance they need between teaching, marking papers, and preparing additional school lessons. Teachers often forget to schedule in some time allocated strictly for relaxation. When this happens a teacher can become run down and not function adequately in the classroom when teaching the students. This in turn can affect the ability of a student to learn successfully. Teachers need to know that time management is an essential part of being a successful teacher and having the ability to teach a student competently. Teachers should allocate themselves suitable time at home for relaxation or simply to do something that they like to do outside of their teaching career. Teachers still have to fit a lot into their time management plan, but must remember to make time management successful, relaxation and spare time is of extreme importance. Once a teacher can successfully learn to relax and allocate time for themselves in their time management plan, life will be less stressful for them and more enjoyable. I have gone into brief detail on time management tips for both students and teachers above. Motivation is a key factor to self improvement. There could be a variety of aspects within your life that could do with some self improvement. Trust me when I say, motivation will in fact assist with self improvement. In this article I will go into brief detail about self improvement with motivation, and in addition I will also provide a basic self improvement program for you to try. The program is a program anyone can put into place with some motivation involved. If you find the program works for you, you may know of another who would benefit from putting the same self improvement program into action. Remember, all you need is some motivation. However to have motivation you also have to make sure you feel energetic and are eating a healthy diet. A healthy diet will improve your energy levels, which will in turn provide you with enough motivation to undergo some self improvements. With motivation you will be able to self improve so many aspects of your life. You may want to be able to simply get up each morning and get all of the housework done. Instead of sitting on your bottom and chucking back many cups of coffee, jump out of bed with a new found bounce to your step. Motivate yourself and tell yourself the night before what you hope to achieve the very next day. You may have to write yourself a list, but this in fact will help with your motivation into making some self improvement within your life. When you put motivation into action, self improvement becomes second to none. Stick to your guns and even gather support around yourself to help you sustain the motivation you have to make these self improvements. Set yourself some goals for the not so far off future. Goal setting will kick off your motivation to being successful at self improvement. When we believe in something or drastically want something we will in fact become motivated to get these things, this is called self improvement. We may want to lose weight, we may want to get into a new hobby, we may just want to learn a new skill, or gain employment. All of these wants create motivation towards self improvement.

I have designed this self improve program to try and help you get motivated enough to actually self improve aspects of your life. At the beginning of this motivation based self improve program you will need to take some time to yourself to sit and relax, and reflect on your life as a whole. The program will not only help you self improve but will in fact make you see insights into future possibilities. Now the next step to take in this program is to write down a list of wants, and/or goals. Try to keep these short term wants and goals. This will make your self improvement more attainable. Once you have listed your goals and wants, you can move on into the next step of this self improve program. If you feel you need support, gather in those close to you. This could simply be a friend going out for a walk with you. In this program keep a journal and notebook with little reminders and plans for each day of your self improvement time. Take the steps you need to take to slowly make changes in the aspects of your life you want to self improve on. In this program, you have no need to rush things, take one step at a time. You may also want to enlist in a personal coach if you feel you need additional help with this self improve program. Basically my self help improve program consists of: Relaxation Reflection Goal and want setting Support gathering Journal entry Step by step approaches Additional support if need be. These seminars run at varying times, so keep your eyes peeled for them. They can be a huge help to you when you are wanting to self improve aspects of your life.
Teen Self Esteem
If you are a parent to either a teen or a younger child, you may want to read this article some more. In here I am going to go into some brief detail on the self esteem that a teen can hold in themselves. I will also talk briefly about a child building self esteem. We have to realize that it is as important for a child to build self esteem and for a teen to have a good standard of self esteem, as it is for us adults. The self esteem that a child or a teen holds can affect many aspects of their lives, and also carry on possible traits and emotional states of mind into adulthood. First I will discuss self esteem in teens, and then in the second segment of this article I will go into brief detail on building self esteem in a child. Always be aware that you as an adult and possible parent can be of some form of assistance to improve the self esteem of your teen, and also a form of assistance when your child is building self esteem. Remember, we all go through the stage of building self esteem, so we can all give something to a child when it is their turn to begin building self esteem. Teen Self Esteem: Teens are older children, young adults. Being a teen can be stressful and a hard road to walk down. Teens suffer from peer pressure and emotional mood swings. Having a solid level of self esteem as a teen is of utmost importance for success. If your teen does suffer from low self esteem, this can in fact begin to interfere with your teens school work and grades. Low self esteem will cause lack of attention and the inability to focus adequately. This becomes the equation for inappropriate school work. A teen with low self esteem will often become reserved and will shut themselves off from social relationships with friends. A teen with low self esteem will quite often become a recluse to a point and not want to partake in any interests outside of the home. You need to reassure your teen that he or she does not need to suffer from low self esteem, and that there are ways you can work together to find a way to increase his or her level of self esteem. You as a parent can do something as simple as compliment your teen with low self esteem when they do make achievements. The problem is, teens feel like they all have to live up to very high standards, and if in fact they seem to be below these standards (even without necessary concern) your teen can develop low self esteem. This is
because your teen 'thinks' the standards that need to be met are not. Yet in reality, your teen is quite likely making acceptable progress. Your teen just doesn't see this for themselves, so therefore 'beats themselves up' (so to speak) and becomes caught up in low self esteem. Your teen needs to be taught to be proud of themselves and who they are and how well they do things. Having low self esteem as a teen can be a very hard time and of not resolved can lead into adult life and become harder to break away from. Give your teen credit when and where credit is due. Even give your teen further responsibilities to make your teen feel important and like a success. Sometimes all it will take to improve a teens self esteem is make sure they are eating a healthy diet. An unhealthy diet can in fact add to the problem of low self esteem. A teen without energy will not function properly, therefore will feel they are not achieving as well as they should be, therefore end up having low self esteem. There is always a base problem that will be the cause of low self esteem in a teen. Locate what this underlying problem is and then you and your teen together can work on raising his or her self esteem levels. Building Child Self Esteem: It is wise to get your child building self esteem from as early an age as possible. If your child learns how to build their self esteem at any early age, it will make them go through life a lot easier. Having a stable self esteem level and knowing how to build on it further will in fact help with your child s education and social skills. You as a parent or a close adult has to be supportive when your child is building self esteem. Teach them what is appropriate and how to look after themselves, how to respect others, how to use appropriate mannerisms. Building self esteem as a child is a very good learning curve, and your child will discover a lot of what there is to know about how to treat other people and how to accept themselves for who they are and others for who they are. If your child learns to build trust in those they should have trust in, it will also in hindsight help them in building self esteem. When you are helping a child who is building self esteem, find some activities you can do together, yet at the same time as with a teen, give the child some responsibility. This will show you trust the child and their choices, and therefore help the child in building adequate self esteem. While your child is building self esteem, try not to be too critical of the things they do. Correct wisely if need be, but never judge harshly or condemn a choice they make, unless it is very necessary. But even so, you need to do this carefully and with
thought. You do not want to knock a childs self esteem level down while he or she is in fact building it up. And most importantly, when a child, or your child is building self esteem, keep the doors of communication wide open. You need your child to know that you are always going to be there for him or her to talk to if they need to talk about anything. This will keep the self esteem building on the right track.

If you don't know what personal mission development is about then read on and I will tell you a little bit about personal mission development. First thing that we need to do when learning about personal mission development is to try and unravel these words so that they make some sense? Some sort of definition would be a good way to do this? Personal mission development is a set of goals that are being achieved on the way to a dream or any given task. Basically it is the little bits and pieces or the development of the accomplishments that are what is deemed to be the true meaning of personal mission development. So how can you or me develop or use personal mission development? It's not actually that hard, just keep on reading and you will see how you can use personal development. Take a piece of paper and a pen and write down the name of a main goal that you want to achieve. Now that you have done that, write other small goals underneath the main goal and also write down how you can achieve these small goals. You are well on your way to personal mission development now. After each small goal has been achieved, write a comment next to that goal about how hard or easy the goal was. Just a small comment will do, it's just a foot note about your achievement and how you got there. After writing down your comments next to the goal, go to the next one and d the same, this way you are keeping a track of things as well. This is what we call personal mission development. This kind of personal mission development can be used in all facets of your life. Just follow the methods that I have just told you about and your well on your way. Some personal mission developments may take a turn for the worst as well, like as in that one of the goals you set to achieve has become harder because someone or something has got in the way of you achieving this goal. A good way to over come this problem is to sit down and brain storm it. Write down what the problem is and then write down all the possibilities there are to solving this problem and beside each problem solving answer that
you have, write down the steps that you need to follow in order to solve the problem and then eliminate all the answers that are just not possible. Its good to do this sort of brain storming in a group environment because then you have more than your own opinion. Another way that we can look at personal mission development is to take a look at ourselves and write down all the things that we want to achieve, even things that we think are not possible at all, write them down. Some of these things may take a long time to achieve, but using the personal mission development method, you will achieve and strengthen those thoughts of achievement by crossing off those little goals on the way and don't forget to also leave the comments on your achievement as well. Do you know how to gain confidence? Well the first thing that you have to do when you want to gain confidence is to build confidence first. So lets take a look at learning how to build confidence and then we will take a look at how to gain confidence as well. First of all if you are not a very confident person, you need to learn how to build confidence. It takes practice like other things to learn how to build self confidence, but just take it easy and slowly ease your way into learning how to build self confidence. What we need to do to build self confidence is take an example and follow the same principals that I am going to point out to you when learning how to build self confidence. Let's take this example, imagine there is a girl or guy that you like and you want to ask them out, but you don't have the self confidence to do so. Here is a plan that you can follow to build some self confidence. Write out what you are going to say to the person that you are going to ask out and then write down the main answers which will be yes or no and then beside those answers write all the things that you can do to eliminate the possibly of total humiliation. I mean if the person reply is no, then write down things like, take frustration out on the gym or I have gained a new friend in the person I asked out anyway. This is called the process of elimination and when learning how to build self confidence, you are eliminating every avenue of every answer so that you come back to a normal mind set. Try it, it does take a bit of practice to perfect, but it will surely help with learning how to build self confidence. If we know how to build self confidence now, how do we gain self confidence? Well as I said in learning how to build self confidence, it takes practice. Also another way to gain self confidence is support from friends and family telling you that you can do it, no matter what the task is. An example of learning how to gain self confidence is to look at a footballer, he has so much self confidence because he is the best in his position and people like coaches and the media and friends and family have supported that footballer through his life and given him the belief that he can do it. This is how he is gaining self confidence. You can use this same

Another way that we can gain self confidence is to write down what we need to gain self confidence in and use the process of elimination technique that I showed you in learning how to build self confidence. We can write down all the negatives and all the positives and then we can tactically eliminate what we don't need or use practical answers to eliminate any negatives. It's a fantastic process to use, the old process of elimination and I would recommend that everyone use it in there lives for one reason or another. Therefore I am a big believer in making the most of each and every day, being positive and holding positive thoughts. On waking every morning you need to give yourself a positive thought. Maybe you have not been feeling very well. Well, on waking tell yourself that today is going to be a better day and that you are going to feel healthier and not so ill. There are many positive thoughts you can tell yourself. Being positive is not that hard to do, even if it feels like there is nothing to be positive about. It is all a matter of mind control. If you give yourself positive thoughts at the beginning of each new day, you will find you feel more energized and 'alive' to do what you have to do for that day. Let us say you are off for a sporting final in a competition and you feel you do not have much of a chance at winning. This is a negative thought pattern for the day. Adjust that thought pattern to a positive thought pattern, and tell yourself you are going to do your best and could quite likely win. Your positive thought patterns for the day will in fact enhance your ability and capacity to in fact gain positive results. On waking up each day, be positive about yourself and what you can accomplish. Every time you use positive thoughts you will be more likely to succeed and have a very refreshing day. The more negative thoughts you give yourself, the more likely you are to mope around the house or not become motivated enough to succeed in household chores or at the office or where ever it is you work. A very easy positive thought to hold each and every day is: Somewhere in the world, there is someone worse off than you, somewhere in the world a life is coming to an end, I am still here and I am still breathing. People need to think a little deeper at times and be thankful for what they do have, and therefore feel positive and create positive thoughts for themselves.

Many factors can contribute to a woman having low self esteem, many of which come from either an abusive relationship or simply a bad relationship. You must realize though that not all women who suffer from low self esteem have come from abusive relationships, just a percentage of them. Other factors that may cause low self esteem in a woman can come from weight or weight gain, and even how a woman sees herself in the looks department. Unfortunately too many women rely and think too much on face value and the ultimately their self esteem suffers. I have ways to beat low self esteem for any woman, so if you are a woman who thinks you may have self esteem issues, keep reading. I am sure you all want to be happy and not wallow in self pity or dwell on something that has happened in your past. This may seem crass or blunt, but you simply have to move on and accept yourself for who you are. Basically any woman with an adequate level of self esteem all like themselves and feel comfortable with their body and who they truly are, both on the outside and the inside. A woman can raise her self esteem levels in many ways. First and foremost, forget what other people have to say, begin to think for yourself. Take a look at yourself in the mirror. Begin to socialize a little more, do not shut yourself off from the world and those close to you. These two key factors are Communication in a relationship and Trust in a relationship, because without these two things in relationships, the relationships will be doomed. Plain and simple! First I will talk briefly about communication in relationships and then I will cover in brief trust in relationships. Communication in Relationships: When you are involved with another in a loving relationship, one key factor you have to have working successfully is communication. Communication is of utmost importance in loving relationships. There is no point in being involved with a person in loving relationships if you can not communicate. If there is a communication break down, there is obviously something not right in the relationship to begin with. You at all times need to keep the channels of communication open. In these forms of relationships, it is healthy to communicate with your partner at all times and about anything. If you can not possibly communicate with your partner about anything, then maybe you are with the wrong person. You should be comfortable enough with the one you are with to communicate at any given time of day about anything that may be bothering you or simply making you happy. There are varying ways you can communicate with your partner, so learn about some forms of communication. With technology these days there really is no excuse for there being a communication barrier between you and the one you are in a relationship with. There is the landline telephone that you can pick up and call your partner on. There are devices called mobile telephones that you can either call your partner on or simply send a text message with. Communicating to the one you are in a relationship with has never been easier. You do not at all times even have to have something of relevance to
communicate about. A simple communication to let your loved one know you are thinking about him or her is a very special form of communication. You can even send you're the one you are in a relationship with an email with the use of a computer. As I said, there really is no excuse for not being able to communicate when you are in a relationship. Communication is important for letting the one you are with know how you are feeling and then you knowing how he or she is feeling. Communication is basically talking over things that come up. It is far better to communicate than to let things bottle up. This will not do you or your partner or the relationship any good, and could therefore due to lack of communication can cause a relationship break up. So simply put communicate with your partner. It is far better to communicate, especially when an issue needs resolving than to not. Now doesn’t communication sound easy and simple?! Trust in Relationships: The second key factor to having a successful relationship is to have trust in the relationship. You need to learn to trust yourself and also trust your partner. If you have trust in the relationship, you have a very good ground level for a successful relationship. Most successful relationships come from there being an abundance of trust for both people in the relationship. If you do not have trust for your partner, what do you have? Placing trust in a person can be a very hard thing to do, yet in a relationship of such a nature, it should come natural, as you should feel completely comfortable with who your partner is and their attributes and what makes them them. If you do not feel you can trust them, then this is basically questioning the relationship. Do you really want to be in a relationship where you do not trust the one you are in a relationship with. The lack of trust in a relationship will most definitely make the relationship harder to enjoy, and will in no doubt cause all sorts of problems and underlying issues. Trust is especially important if you are involved in a long distance relationship, as you are likely to be apart from each other for given lengths of time. A long distance relationship has no chance of being successful if there is no trust in the relationship. A happy lasting relationship is one where there is complete trust from both people in the loving relationship.

Emotional and verbal abuse is not to be tolerated, and yet thousands of women and men all over the world do just that tolerate emotional and verbal abuse. Why do they do this? you may want to know. There are many reasons why people tolerate emotional and verbal abuse. Often in such a situation there are children involved, so the one being emotionally or verbally abused will stay in the situation thinking they are doing what is right for the child or children. This is a misguided thought, but there is nothing anyone can do about it, until the person being abused asks for help or opts to get out of the emotionally and verbally abusive situation themselves. You can not help those who are not ready to be helped. However if you see signs of such a thing, you can always try to quietly have a word and tell the person you are concerned about the signs you do see. They can then have the choice to talk about the signs you are talking of or simply laugh you off. If they laugh you off, they are obviously not ready to talk about the signs you see of emotional and verbal abuse. Emotional and Verbal Abuse: Emotional abuse is when a person, man or woman uses the power of speech and verbalizes put downs and degrading comments to another. If a person is put down enough, told they are ugly, told they are useless repeatedly, that person will start to believe it. There is a saying I have heard: "if you are told or hear something often enough, you will begin to believe it". This is a classic example of emotional and verbal abuse. Verbal abuse is the constant bantering and ranting of untruths and horrible things to another. The verbal abuse then leads to emotional abuse, as the verbal abuse will begin to set the emotional side of the abused on edge. What the verbal abuser is saying when he or she is verbally abusing another will affect how the abused then feels about themselves and they can more often than not get to the point of having very low self esteem, feeling like they can not do anything right and that basically they are useless and more often than not, a waste of space. If the emotional abuse is very serious, the emotional abuse can escalate and become very dangerous to the abused at times. The abused and the abuse s friend will have to learn how to recognize signs of emotional and verbal abuse. Below I have covered varying signs of emotional and verbal abuse for you to read and take note on. You just may recognize some of
these signs in your own life or that of one of your friends. Signs of Emotional Abuse: There are a few signs that you can see from 'looking in' that there could be some form of emotional or/and verbal abuse going on within a house or a relationship. Often a sign of emotional abuse is the abused becoming reserved, or in other words, the abused shutting themselves off from others. Another sign to look for or be aware of is the abused not taking a great deal of pride in themselves. An abused person will often feel there is no point and get to the stage of 'giving up'. And more signs to pick up on are: A person that is constantly on edge or appears to be 'trying' to hard to please a particular person can also be seen as a sign of emotional abuse. Often another sign of emotional abuse is seeing little of the abused. Have you ever asked your friend or a family member out, to have them constantly turn you down, coming up with some excuse as to why they cannot manage to go out with you, even just round to your house for a cup of coffee. This is a very good sign of emotional abuse. An abused person will often want to always be at home and not want to go out, nor want to have visitors. They will do all they can to have what needs to be done around the house done and quite often appear to be doing too much. Another sure sign of emotional abuse is the way the abused acts around the abuser. Watch for strained body language. An emotionally abused person will often seem upset as well, and throw out comments without realizing it about how useless they are. This is a sign of emotional abuse. A very common sign of emotional abuse is when you do manage to get your friend or family member out, the abuser is constantly checking up on the abused, to see when they will be home. This is a form of intimidation and will often cause the abused to head for home immediately. Some signs of telling whether you yourself are being emotionally abused are: Feeling like you are the unbalanced one, therefore you are the cause of the way you are being treated. Emotionally numb - like you just don't care anymore You always feel like you are over reacting to your abusers words and actions You no longer have the feelings you have for the abuser These are just few signs of emotional and verbal abuse. You can do this self esteem test in the comfort of your own home to evaluate the level of your own self esteem. However, in the first segment I will give brief detail on the definition of self esteem and how a definition can vary, and then in the second segment, I will provide as mentioned, the self esteem test. The Definition of Self esteem: There is a dictionary definition of self esteem which is: The ability to hold a good opinion of ones self - self complacency. That is a definition that most people will relate to, or be taught to know. This definition basically means that self esteem is a state of mind which holds how we feel about ourselves and what makes us us. Some people suffer from low self esteem due to not being happy with themselves. While other people can hold very high levels of self esteem about themselves. Other ways we can look at the definition of self esteem is to give examples of the definition of self esteem. The true definition of self esteem is characterized by tolerance and respect, along with integrity and the ability to take responsibility for our own actions. Other definitions of self esteem is being comfortable with who we are and our behavior and mannerism patterns. Happiness, contentedness can also be classed as self esteem definitions. Definitions of self esteem can vary from person to person. How one defines their personal self esteem to another will always be different. People hold varying opinions on all sorts of things, so definitions become a thought of opinion to a point. While one can define self esteem as being complacent and in a 'good place', another will define self esteem as being 'lonely' and 'not such a good place'. The difference in these definitions comes from two different people with two different levels of self esteem. Self Esteem test: In this self esteem test, you can get a pretty good idea just what your level of self esteem is. However do not take the self esteem test too seriously and automatically think you have a problem with
your self esteem after taking the self esteem test. If you do take the test provided and you are a little concerned, speak to a friend or family member first. Also try taking the test at varying times, just to see if your self esteem appears to be changing at all. Do you feel like shutting yourself off from most people? Are you constantly lethargic? Do you feel alone? Do you often wish you could make changes to your body? Do you feel on the outside in social circles? Do you feel un-motivated? Do you lack energy? Have you got a low attention span? Do you prefer to be alone than with others? Do you feel depressed? Do you feel useless? If you have answered yes to a high percentage of the above questions in the test, you just may be suffering from low self esteem. If you did the self esteem test and answered no to a high percentage of the questions, then I could safely bet that your self esteem is sitting at an adequate level and you have nothing to be concerned about at all.
