CJC NOS. 13-0093-CC, 13-0097-CC, 13-0147-CC, AND 13-0383-CC INQUIRY CONCERNING HONORABLE CHRISTOPHER DUPUY COUNTY COURT AT LAW NUMBER 3 GALVESTON, GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS

ORDER OF SUSPENSION
Be it known that on May 23, 2013, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct was presented with copies of eight Indictments handed up on May 21, 2013, by the duly constituted Grand Jury of the 10th District Court, Galveston County, Texas, in Cause Nos. 13CR1363, 13CR1364, 13CR1365, 13CR1366, 13CR1367, 13CR1368, 13CR1369, and 13CR1370, each styled State of Texas vs. Christopher Michael Dupuy. A true and correct copy of each Indictment is attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein for all relevant purposes. Having considered the Indictments, the Commission concluded that the felony and misdemeanor offenses charged include two counts of Obstruction or Retaliation; three counts of Abuse of Official Capacity; one count of Abuse of Official Capacity (more than $500 and less than $1,500); and two counts of Official Oppression. The Commission determined that CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL DUPUY should be SUSPENDED, WITHOUT PAY, from the office of Judge of the County Court at Law Number 3 for Galveston County, Texas, pursuant to the authority contained in Article 5, § 1-a(6)A of the Texas Constitution and Rule 15(a) of the Texas Procedural Rules for the Removal or

Retirement of Judges, and that such suspension shall remain in effect until further orders of the Commission. Accordingly, it is ORDERED that CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL DUPUY is SUSPENDED, WITHOUT PAY, from the office of Judge of the County Court at Law Number 3 for Galveston County, Texas. It is FURTHER ORDERED that such suspension shall be effective immediately and shall remain in effect until further order of the Commission. It is FURTHER ORDERED that the Commission retains the authority to reconsider this Order should additional information not yet received warrant such action. ISSUED on the 23rd day of May, 2013, at 4:24 o’clock p.m.
