Bank History Soneri Bank Limited was formally incorporated on September 28, 1991 by Chairman Mr. Alauddin Feerasta.

The first branch commenced its operations from the Lahore Branch on April 16, 1992. On May 09, 1992 the second branch started its operation in Karachi. Soneri soon achieved a sound place in the banking industry and is quiet dominant in the SME sector. The Bank has been expanding its network rapidly in urban as well as rural areas, with a strong presence across the country. The expansion in the rural is with a view to offer services even in the remote areas of Pakistan. Further expansion of branches is based on a policy of maintaining a balance between the urban and rural areas. Pleasant and sophisticated atmosphere has been provided in the branches which are all fully air-conditioned and computerized. The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA) has maintained banks credit rating atAA- for the long term and A1+ for the short term and A+ for the Term Finance Certificates reflecting banks well maintained risk profile with preserved sound asset quality. Corporate banking includes syndicated financing and services provided in connection with mergers and acquisition, underwriting, privatization, securitization, research, debts, equity, syndication, initial public offering (IPO) and secondary private placements. Trading and sale segment includes fixed income, equity, foreign exchange, commodities, credit, funding, own position securities, brokerage debt and prime brokerage. Retail banking segment includes retail lending and deposit, banking services, private lending and deposit, trust and estates investment advice and merchant/ commercial/ corporate cards. Soneri bank also has correspondence in other countries and has established relations with major banks including Citi Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, ABN Amro, bank of America, Bank of New York, Bank of Australia, etc.
