Chapter 2 Character Colour

The collected imagery in this chapter revolves around imagery that inspires me in terms of the colour theory, and how it has been applied to the characters. In particular, I have chosen characters which are a good balance of the colour and the form to create a well balanced figure. The colour should be as important as the shape in reflecting the personality of the subject.

Chapter 1 Character form

The characters collected in this stamp book are examples of work which I have collected over the last few years. They are in this section specifically because of the form of the character; the facial features, the way they appear, their styles which I sometimes wish I could master. This is all about the shapes of character which I find interesting.

Chapter 3 Character Context / Background

The backgrounds and contexts of the character are just as important to me as the character itself, otherwise the figure will be out of place. The imagery I have collected sets up the combination of character to the background to tell some kind of story about the scene / situation. The marrying of colours between the character and environment helps make the scene more seamless; the styles need to be consistent.
