1. Introduction

A hosting control panel is an online environment that gives users the opportunity to manage all the necessary
web-server settings through an intuitively comprehensible web interface. The user’s site won’t be fully functional without
the necessary server settings, which are set using the control panel.

Because this web interface is so easy to use, users do not require any specific knowledge about web-server
commands (for example, “/scripts/killacct” – to remove the domain, “vi /var/named/domain.db” – to edit domain DNS
records, or “vi /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf” – to check the path to the Apache configuration file).
