Town Board Moments
1. Citizen Concerns –none 2. Correspondence – a. Letter from DEC explaining the changes made to the air regulations effecting facilities. B. Letter from DEC noting no violations on the recent transfer site inspection. C. Letter from Case & Leader explaining proper procedure for local law filing for extending terms of office for elected officials. 3. A motion was made and seconded to allow Alpine Fence Co. to install the fencing for the new Town cemetery. 4. Mr.Brian Pierce gave a report on getting the flagpole at the library painted. He will be checking into a lead test for the pole. 5. The Town clerk reported that the DEC will be changing their DECALS licensing systems this year and the software programs. It will all have to be done on our own office computers. The clerk’s computer will need to be upgraded to handle the software for selling the licenses. A motion was made and seconded to get a new computer so she can continue to sell hunting

Next Town Board meeting will be on June 10th, 2013 @ Town Hall @ 7PM. Village Board Moments 1.Public hearing was held for the proposed changes to the water debt rate and sewer usage rate. 2. Citizen Concerns – a. Residents on Mechanic St. are complaining of their basement flooding even with 2 sump pumps going. The Mayor will contact DANC and Rural water to see if he can get someone to check the storm drain only. B. Another resident complained of flooding of her basement. She stated the village cut her pipes and they were not fixed. It was suggested that she plug the old drain in her basement since the village was ordered by the DEC to abandon the old sewer lines. 3. Sewer Project – Project is currently out to bid. Opened on May 21st. 4. The fire protection contract with the Town of Antwerp has been signed. 5. Motion was made and carried to accept the fire department application of Jake Greenlaw pending the standard background check.

Town Clerk News - This year's Old Home Day/ORA events to be held on August 3rd, 2013. The ORA 5k, 10k, run/walk starting at 9:00 AM registration forms available online. Old Home Day events will be 2-6 PM. Parade at 6, Dance at 8pm @ legion more information will be posted as events are confirmed.
