Cockroaches

Cockroaches are really unpleasant. They look disgusting, they crawl all over the food left out in kitchens, and people have very hard time getting rid of them. But, like them or not, cockroaches are truly amazing creatures. (A) Few animals are better equipped for life on Earth than they are. They can live almost anywhere, eat anything, and survive for weeks on almost nothing. They can withstand for waves and cold spells. (B) When cockroaches scatter, they scurry away long, strong legs at nearly 30.5 cm per second. In the same time, they flatten themselves as thin as fils and squeeze safely through cracks and crevices.
