Crafitti Consulting in collaboration with the Russian Centre of Science and Culture is conducting a unique workshop on Inventions, Innovation and Patents using a relatively lesser known Russian Methodology named Teoriya Resheniya Izobreatatelskikh Zadatch or Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ).

Genrikh Altshuller, a former Soviet Union navy patent officer after Second World War, started a systematic study of patents – his aim was to find out what makes a successful invention. Can there be an algorithm for inventing? His search led him to develop a unique methodology called Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (acronym TRIZ in Russian). In the process he also developed a methodology to analyze and study patents. Crafitti Consulting has developed on the TRIZ way of doing patent analysis and reinforced it with other techniques to build a comprehensive framework for Inventions and Innovation.

Delegates will be exposed to:
Understanding the level of an invention and a patent
Finding out the key contradictions the invention is solving
Looking at the claims hierarchy of the patent
Function Diagrams of a patent/invention Pruning or Trimming as a means of inventing
System Complexity Estimation

These techniques will help in:
Finding Technological Alternatives to a Patent
Writing Future-proof claims of a Patent Understanding the evolution of an invention compared to prior art
Finding white space in a field to leverage

Crafting Innovation Together

6th May 2009, 10:00 am – 01:00 pm, at Russian Centre of Science and Culture, 24, Ferozeshah road, New Delhi

A Unique Workshop On

Innovation and Patents Using TRIZ – The Russian Theory of

Inventive Problem Solving
Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC), New Delhi (http://russiancentre.org.in) and Crafitti Consulting Private Limited, Bangalore (http://www.crafitti.com) offer a unique workshop on Inventions, Innovations and Patents using a relatively lesser known Russian Methodology named Teoriya Resheniya Izobreatatelskikh Zadatch or Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ).

For the first time this framework is offered in India.

Who should attend this workshop
Patent Experts, Patent Lawyers, IP Heads, Scientists, Inventors, Engineers, Engineering Managers, R&D Heads, Researchers, Product Managers, Business Managers, and all those who are involved in problem solving and seek innovative solutions.

Are you, your team, your organization or your business
      Impacted by rapid increase in Globalization? Impacted by explosive increase in complexity? Overwhelmed by continuous pressure to think out of box? Faced with decision paralysis due to information de-coherence? Feeling the heat of unknown competitors doing unprecedented things to eat away your business? Trying to make sense of Patents and underlying value in Patents?

Do you think
     “Decision Making” is one of your teams’ core strength? “Problem Solving” and “Innovation” are embedded in your teams’ attitude? Your team manages to avoid getting into crisis most of the time? You know the value that you are creating or delivering to your customer? You are sufficiently leveraging Patent information openly available to build your business and technology?

If most of your answers are YES, this workshop will help you find answers.

If most of your answers are NO, this workshop will help you find answers.

Delegates will be exposed to
      Understanding the level of an invention and a patent Finding out the key contradictions the invention is solving Looking at the claims hierarchy of the patent Function Diagrams of a patent/invention Pruning or Trimming as a means of inventing System Complexity Estimation

How do we work with our co-crafters?
The CRAFITTI engagement includes processes to explore any system through our science based proprietary frameworks developed over a period of almost 2 decades of experimentation, exploration and evaluation. The process steps include mining Patent and web based information in a particular field to provide large number of triggers in multitude of directions for the Inventive minds to come out with large number of ideas for developing

products, processes and patents in the chosen technical field. The Co-crafting Innovation methodology results in a large number of possible ideas that can be converted for commercial benefits in very quick time. Starting from the vague information about the technological area to look into, the Co-Crafting Innovation process rapidly penetrates through the barriers of psychological inertia in the minds of experts, to create insights into the problems that have hitherto been not possible. The systematic way to convert the unidirectional thinking along the core competencies of the experts in the fields into multi-dimensional storms of ideas in a limited amount of time is the greatest benefit that the clients have achieved through the Co-Crafting Innovation Engagements.
