The Ump At Home

If this list still leaves you out, simply write to us explaining your particular situation, and we will help you find a way in which you can be part of this great undertaking. Then by all working together, we can aim at a new mark. Directly or indirectly each of you will be striving to add one new member to AMORC’s rolls by April 1. This multiplication of members over a three-month period is the surest way of insuring your own ideáis and objectives against a disinterested public.

Let There be Light
T his affirmation has heralded the cióse of countless initiation eeremonies down through the centuries. It carne w ith the culm ination of lengthy and serious instruction in the mysteries. In modern times this dynam ic phrase applies not only as an affirmation a t the cióse of a period of instruction, but also as a com raand to bring light to the darkened corners of the world. It is a cali to extend the work of the O rder—to plant seeds of inform ation and knowledge. It should be the w atchw ord for every Rosicrucian during 1959. E ver in the front of your mind, during this m em orable year, should be those impelling words F IA T L U X ! (L e t there be L ig h t.)

An extensión program need not impose a burden on anyone. For each member’s particular situation there is a suitable pattern of activity. The question “W hat can I do?” is easily answered. “Do som ething ! " — do any one of the long list of activities mentioned here. T akeO N E — or more— and set about doing it immediately!

Take Up Your Lamp
Ligh t the way for others each step of your journey through 1959. Regardless of how m uch you get around, regardless of the time and means you have at your disposal, the spreading of L IG H T is only a m atter of carryin g around with you w h at you already have. A lamp in a darkened room exerts no particular effort to light up the shadows. It simply shines by its own n atu re, and dispels the gloom around it. By simple conversation, by timely placem ent of R osicrucian literature w herever you m ay be, you r light will shine—and add its radiance to the thousands of tiny dots of lights held high by members everyw here. T h u s will the accum ulated light of all R osicrucians make itself known to m ankind as the G R E A T E R L IG H T .
