June 2013

Preparing for the hot weather We would like to encourage you to send your child to school with his/her own, named bottle of water to drink during the day to prevent dehydration. The bottle can be brought home every afternoon in order for you to wash it and refill it with water for the next day. You may like your child to bring a sun hat to wear in the playground during hot weather and sun screen can be applied before your child comes to school in the morning to protect delicate skin from sun burn.

Staff news: We were very excited to hear that Miss Arthur had a baby daughter-Evie-on Sunday. They are both doing well and we hope they will visit us before the end of term. Mrs Ledwidge is leaving us at the end of this term to take up a teaching appointment in a Bromley school. We will be very sad to see her go but, our loss is their gain and I am sure you will join with me in wishing her ‘good luck’ for the future. We have appointed Miss Joseph to replace Mrs Ledwidge and she will be spending a week in school before the end of term. Mr Mogul will also be leaving us to begin his teaching degree at Roehampton University. We also wish him ‘good luck’ for his future career - he will be a great asset to the profession!
