Raisin Walnut Bread  

2 cups all-purpose flour 2/3 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 egg, beaten

1 cup applesauce

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1 1/3 cups chopped walnuts

Directions
1. 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, beat together egg, applesauce and butter. Stir applesauce mixture into flour mixture just until combined. Fold in walnuts and raisins; pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Allow to cool before slicing.
