COTTAGE-DILLY BREAD   1 pkg active dry yeast ¼ cup warm water

1. sprinkle yeast over water, stir to dissolve.          1 cup large curd cottage cheese 2 tbls sugar 2 tbls finely chopped onion 1 tbl butter 2 tsp dill seeds 1 tsp salt ¼ tsp baking soda 1 egg 2 ¼ to 2 ½ cups sifted, all purpose flour

1. Heat cottage cheese until lukewarm. Combine in a bowl with the sugar, onion, butter, dill seeds, salt, baking soda, egg and yeast. 2. Add flour, a little at a time, beating well after each addition. Make a stiff batter. Cover, rise in warm place for 50-60 minutes. 3. Stir down with 25 vigorous strokes. Turn into well-greased, 1 ½ qt. (8") casserole. Cover and let rise 30-40 minutes, 4. Bake in 350 oven 40-50 minutes. Brush the loaf with honey about 10 minutes before it is finished baking.
