OPTICS and the EYE!

QuickTimeª and a
decompressor
are needed to see this picture.

(we have to know the things I circled in red and where they are in the eye [retina, lens,
cornea] )

lens—it bends light but only fine tunes the image

cornea—the main lens (does the most bending of the light)
retina—light detector, receives the light

Ideally, the image should be focused right on the retina. However, most of us have bad
vision. (mostly: near sighted) – eye focuses behind or in front of retina.

“Near sighted” – ( in front) “Far sighted” (behind)
