• Non-farm employment grew by 1.9 percent year-over-year in the Baltimore metro region compared to an average of 1.75 percent across major metropolitan areas. • The labor force, however, jumped in the month of May, which brought the unemployment rate up to 7.3 percent. • Professional & business services and education & health services continue to post gains, growing 4.7 percent and 2.1 percent year-over-year respectively.
