Town Board Moments 1. Citizen Concerns – a. County Highway Superintendent, Jim Lawrence, spoke to the board members about the Coolidge Rd. and possibility of getting the bridge replaced. They discussed possibilities of doing some road exchanges between the County and the Town. 2. Communications: a. Report that the Town of Antwerp’s equalization rate is at 100% for the 2013. B. Received updated notice of compliance for Worker’s Compensation from Jefferson County Dept. of Insurance. C. Letter from Town assessor, Cindy Shaw expressing her request to the Town Board to be re-appointed as the Town Assessor for another term of 6

Next Town Board meeting will be on August 12th, 2013 @ Town Hall @ 7PM. Village Board Moments 1. Citizen Concerns – a. Resident stated that the dog problem seems to be getting better, she is seeing more dogs on leashes. She also inquired about the status of the un-mowed properties in the Village. The zoning officer will be issuing citations to these property owners. B. Mr. DeSantis inquired if the water main breakages were going to be part of the new norm. It was explained to him that the old water main was the culprit and has since been taken out of service. 2. DPW REPORT: They have been busy fixing water lines and trying to get lawns mowed. 3. SEWER PROJECT: Dow Electric has withdrawn their bid for the project. Patricia Electric is the second low bidder and has been notified by our project engineer, GHD. 4. Tr. Cole motioned to pass a resolution in support of the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center and it was resolved.

Clyde and Gert Pickert celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 9th of this year. Their children decided to have an open house for them at a later date. It is planned for Saturday, September 14th at the American Legion in Antwerp. The hours are from 11 am until 3 pm. The ORA 5k, 10k, run/walk starting at 9:00 AM registration forms available online @ Old Home Day events will be 2-6 PM. Parade at 6, Dance at 8pm @ legion more information will be posted as events are confirmed. The Summer Reading Program is in progress. It's not too late to start. Stop in and pick up a log sheet. Keep track of each book you read or that someone reads to you and you will receive a prize on August 9th when the NYS Zoo visits the library @ 2PM.
