Within the Bible Translation Movement, project management is a critically needed discipline. We first realized this when we made our first visit to JAARS in 2008. God knew the words Doug needed to hear and it was the very first evening of the Check-IT-Out seminar that we realized God was calling us to take action. We have just celebrated our second year serving through Wycliffe Bible Translators and the call to project management in reaching the remaining language groups is as clear as ever.

When God gives the motivation, he also provides the means and the validation. Every day we are so thankful to God for allowing us to experience such exciting ways to serve Him through Bible Translation. Thank you. Your partnership is helping to change the world. Below you will read a word from Dougs supervisor, Steve Moitozo. Steves words say a bit about what Doug is doing and the positive impact the PMO is having on Bible Translation.

One Project at a Time

Steve Moitozo Director, Global Technology and Information Services SIL International The other day I was in a meeting with Business Architects from a number of Fortune 500 companies. During a session on transforming organizations, a gentleman behind me raised his hand and said, "You've been talking about understanding where your organization is and where you want to take it. But once you know that, how do you actually get there?" Without hesitation the presenter replied, "One project at a time." Global Technology and Information Services (GTIS) makes it possible to carry out transformational initiatives in the complex multi-organization environment of the Bible Translation Movement. (PMO). While Strategy and Architecture helps leaders understand and describe where they want to go, the Project Management Office makes it happen, one project at a time. In an environment of increasing collaboration among multiple organizations I have come to depend on Doug's leadership in project management. Other leaders are seeing the benefits of Doug's work and the PMO as well. Consider these comments on the work of Doug's team from the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Wycliffe Bible Translators, USA:

"I ...was very encouraged to hear about the great progress being made [on the project]. I have also been so encouraged to see the excellent unity of the team without regard to who they represent or what their roles might be. This is a great example of how we should all be working together."
I want thank you for your partnership with Doug and Nancy in prayer and finances. Together we are changing the world, one project at a time.

Financial Update
The ministry of Wycliffe Bible Translators is unique and is funded by those who believe in its vision of reaching all the people of the world with God's Word in their own languages. Wycliffe uses and approves a ministry budget each year which reflects the amount needed to fund our ministry. Since Wycliffe requires its members to develop financial partnerships with individuals and churches to meet their full ministry budgets, we want to make you aware we currently need an additional $445/month to be fully funded. We invite you to prayerfully consider your role in providing everyone access to Gods living Word. God may be leading you to pray or give or introduce us to a friend or small group.
