1. Go to http://glcfapp.umiacs.umd.edu:8080/esdi/index.jsp 2. Click on Map search

3. A new window will appear, click on the place, whoch data you want to download or select lat/long and enter the extend of lat/long to sort out the data.

4. Click on the type of data, e.g. for Landsat imagery data , click on ETM+ for latest data and Update.


5. A button will appear as preview and download, click on it. A new window will appear containing the list of maps.

6. Click download, A list of maps will appear with the size of data. For false color composit we need nn20, nn30,nn40 dataset.

7. Use orbit downloader to download. In orbit downloader, click new and paste URL set the location to download.


8. After downloading the data set, it needs to be unzipped as it is in *.gz format. Use winrar to unzip it. 9. Now three different band have to stick together to get the desired image. Use ERDAS IMAGINE. 10. change the file type from *.geotiff to *.img using import option – click on it.

11. select type Geotiff, select input file, give output file name and location- ok –ok.

12. Select interpreter – utilities - layer stack.


11. A new window will appear. Select all the layer files to be stack. Select Add and All, Give output file name and the location – ok.
