    gets $510K grant for equipment YONKERS -- A nearly $510,000 federal grant will allow the city Fire Department to upgrade its communications and safety equipment, U.S. Rep. Eliot Engel, D-Bronx, announced Friday. The funding comes from the Federal Emergency Management Agencys Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program aimed at strengthening emergency-responder organizations that are not affiliated with a hospital.
