Introduction

In modern days, computers are very well known for its best functions that made human tasks very easy and convenient. Such as, document typing, printing, music, programs and especially for Multimedia purposes. Nowadays, entertainment is a vital part of the computer especially games. Playing computer games are one of the best ways to remove stress and it is one of the most favourite leisure of people all over the world. Who wouldnt love games? Its very relaxing, thrilling, mind-boggling, entertaining and it is a very good form of bonding between people especially nowadays, games can be played online. So you have social networking and gaming all in one place. Digging into the deeper sense of games and computers, computer experts continuously finds ways on how to improve gaming for the ultimate experience and pleasure of the user. Modern computer programmers and game developers created lots of new features and additions to the game. In the hardware industry, companies are now producing lots of new items to promote better gaming experience for its users. Who wouldnt love to play games in a very fast and no lag scheme? Its every gamers basic desire. To perform such tasks for games, it needs a good and reliable system, something that is very fast but doesnt consume much of the inner side of the pc, something that is compatible and efficient, something durable for prolonged usage. That is why developers created computers systems named 32-bit systems and 64 bit systems. But, what are these systems? What does it do? On what part it is differentiated? How does it affect the gaming process and system? A common person, who doesnt mind about computers too much, wouldnt care about this. But as a researcher, we must add to the body of knowledge. The readers must have sufficient information on how will the said systems can affect their gaming experiences. This research will try to provide and come up with a conclusion on which system is really better for gaming, 32-bit system or 64- bit system?

Part I : Research Rationale

The main purpose of writing this research is to compare and contrast the effects of a 32 bit system and 64 bit system in gaming performance. It will key in on the following points based on the research title. Here are the main key points for this research:

1. Performance The researcher will look in to the difference of performance of games run on the said systems. It will focus on the smoothness of run time of the game. On which processor the game runs without or lesser chance of lag.

2. Compatibility The researcher will look in to the compatibility issues of game related to the system. Whether the game will run in the system without errors and the game will be free from notifications from the system.

3. Speed The most crucial part of this research pertains to the speed of the compared systems. Mainly, because, for a gamer, it is important that the game is running in real time speed without interruption and with the best graphics format they can ever see.

Part II: Statement of the Problems


General Problem:
The main focus of this research is to provide ample information about the differences between the 32-bit and 64-bit systems and how does it affect the gaming experience of the user while using the machines. It will measure the level of satisfaction of the users that will determine on which system is the better one when used in gaming.

Sub Problems:
1. Which system is faster? 2. Which system provides optimal speed while in game? 3. Which system is cheaper or affordable? 4. Which system provides the best graphics performance? 5. Which system has the best durable parts? 6. Heat has an effect to the motherboard, which system is more vulnerable to heat? 7. Which system provides a better cooling system? 8. Which system is easier to troubleshoot and repair? 13. Which system has the better support?

The stated questions above will determine the results of the research. It will also be the basis on how the research will be written. These questions will also support the contents of the questionnaire for survey purposes.

The main importance in conducting this research is to provide quality information, comparison and contrast, and the differentiation of the subject in terms of its physical aspect. This research will try to make an impact on the gaming world because this research will benefit the common good of gamers and also the basic users of computers. Basically, basic users of computer wouldnt mind about the specifications of their system. Sometimes, this negligence on users leads to poor performance of the machine. Also, it also affects the gaming performance of the computer because, the specifications of the machine is inappropriate to the game. A feature of the game pays the price of having a good system. So the users must know on which system is better for the end users to have their optimal gaming performance. The information can provide them a good practical mind in which system must be chosen. Part IV: Methods


The methods section of a research paper provides the information by which a study's validity is judged. Therefore, it requires a clear and precise description of how an experiment was done, and the rationale for why specific experimental procedures were chosen. The methods section should describe what was done to answer the research question, describe how it was done, justify the experimental design, and explain how the results were analyzed. Scientific writing is direct and orderly. Therefore, the methods section structure should: describe the materials used in the study, explain how the materials were prepared for the study, describe the research protocol, explain how measurements were made and what calculations were performed, and state which statistical tests were done to analyze the data. Once all elements of the methods section are written, subsequent drafts should focus on how to present those elements as clearly and logically as possibly. The description of preparations, measurements, and the protocol should be organized chronologically. For clarity, when a large amount of detail must be presented, information should be presented in sub-sections according to topic. Material in each section should be organized by topic from most to least important. Especially, since the research is all about game, it needs to be specific and the data must be accurate for the readers to have the right information about the system to help them to decide on which system is really better to choose

Research Method (Gathering Data)


The researcher will use the Quantitative data collection in gathering information about the system. Basically, a Quantitative data collection relies on random sampling and structured data collection instruments that fit diverse experiences into predetermined response categories. They produce results that are easy to summarize, compare, and generalize. Quantitative research is concerned with testing hypotheses derived from theory and/or being able to estimate the size of a phenomenon of interest. Depending on the research question, participants may be randomly assigned to different treatments. If this is not feasible, the researcher may collect data on participant and situational characteristics in order to statistically control for their influence on the dependent, or outcome, variable. If the intent is to generalize from the research participants to a larger population, the researcher will employ probability sampling to select participants. This type of gathering data fits this research because, there are lots of people who uses games so the researcher is not too specific on getting the surveyors because the only requirement is that the surveyed person plays games in a consistent basis.

Because the stated materials above have different effects in the systems speed and it has different file formats and installer types.

Part V: Structure of the Research

The researcher will write the research based on the gather facts from the survey, computer books and archives, internet and from the results experiment. The researcher picked these elements because the stated facts relates to the research topic. The researcher will conduct his research in various locations and areas. As for the survey, the researcher will produce 200 copies of survey form to random computer users and they will evaluate the system and compare it to each other. For the experiment, the researcher will experiment on his own house with some other computer professionals for best comparisons and results. The research will be written in various areas and the researcher will observe the system and will also let others use the system for analysis and general comparison.
