ASSOCIATON OF ARIZONA FOOD BANKS FRONT OFFICE VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Location: Association of Arizona Food Banks

2100 N. Central Avenue, Suite 230 Phoenix, AZ 85004 Role: The Front Office Volunteer is considered a regular member of the AAFB staff. The primary role of the Front Office Volunteer is to provide general office support primarily by answering phones, making outbound calls to update food bank listings, and performing data entry into AAFB’s donor/contact management database. Responsibilities: • Answer phones and provide quality customer service and assistance to individuals and families in Arizona who call AAFB’s toll-free number for information on nearby food banks and other services, including DES offices, food stamps and other community programs. Make outbound calls to update food bank listings. Accurate and timely data entry into donor/contact management database. Assist with mailings, including printing and stuffing letters and envelopes. Support and attend official AAFB meetings and events. Sort and date-stamp incoming mail. Light filing and other duties as assigned.

Skills Required: • • • • • • • • Self-starter. Good customer service and telephone skills. Computer, email and internet literate Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Team player with good inter-personal skills. Previous office experience desired.

Schedule: Desired regular schedule is Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a total of 20 hours per week. Schedule is flexible depending on the needs of the volunteer and AAFB.
