for children and what you would do to avoid wasting time and focusing on the activities and on the use of English.
The length of this paper must be two pages minimum to four pages maximum
1- I chose the topic of pirates. I would start explainig briefly what pirates were and the age in History when they were more famous. I would also tell the children about some famous pirates and one or two cases of pirates in our area, here in Galicia where I live, the story abut captain Drake is very famous. This pirate pursued a spanish ship until the port of La Coruña and he managed to sink the ship just before arriving at the sirroundings of the city. I will now speak about the activities itself. The first activity is called the tresure map. It includes printable material and activities online for the children to do in class, the first activity is formed by a puzzle where the students can unveil the map of the island when they complete it. Another activity included here is a series of sentences with a blank space, the

I would not waste time in playing with the masks provided for the exercise because we need the use of scissors and it would be very time consuming .Depending on the time available. I would first use the activity of matching up. The second activity is a quiz game about pirates. At this time we can hand out the written description of the route so that the kids can read it while they listen to the story. the students select one of them. where they need to choose the correct answer from two options . This exercise doesn´t have any rewards after completion. because we can also work some vocabulary . because the children need to draw a map similar to the one seen in the “treasure map” activity. so I would add a complementary exercise to do after this one. I would choose not to select the puzzle exercise because in my opinion the language work involved in this exercise is minimum and we could use this time to concentrate on vocabulary related with the topic. I consider the last exercise very interesting. in order to complete the sentence. this can be useful because if we don´t have enough computers in our room. Taking advantage of the printable material available on the web. They have to draw a map choosing the location of their hidden treasure and then write the route to follow to arrive TEMA 7 – Actividades . the students obtain the written description of the route to follow in order to find the treasure. if it´s correct they will go through to the next question. if it´s not correct they will need to select another one until they chose the correct one. The quiz proposes three answers per question . and the animation always result very attractive for kids. After the completion of the sentences . now they know the meaning of the words they can go to the next exercise. the kids can share the same one. choose the right answer for the blank space and drawing a picture.
I would remove the singing part of the exercise. like the successful “Pirates of the Caribbean” starred by Johnny Depp. I would use the song in a different way. the pirate area occurred in a very specific period of time in History. so this can be very useful to explain a few historical details of a period when trade and the discovery of the world where the main aim of human beings all over the world.I decided to choose the topic of pirates because nowadays the kids are very familiar with this . I may play it once or twice so they can get familiarised with the pronunciation and intonation . All of this put our children in a very close position to the topic so I think we can take advantage of this and use the theme -based lesson to mention a very interesting period in History. Since they have worked with the vocabulary. with big empires and important commercial routes that enlightened different cultures all over the globe. This activity can be very useful because we can also work on giving directions. All of this resulted in a series of video games and toys for kids that even some of the companies whose target is specificalyy oriented to children like “LEGO” used this sag to release a series of toys and games. If the time allowed for the exercise is enough. after two or three plays. Last few years some sequels and big hollywood productions have been pirate-oriented. However .
