Royal (Can/Am Seransil Skyewell Roc'On Royal) won an Award of Merit under breeder/judge Johnny Shoemaker. He continued his wins including Select Dog wins towards his GrandChampionship and Breed and Group 2 under breeder/judge Carol Graham. While Evelyn was in Nanaimo, Robyn DeJager competed in Rally Obedience with Ashton (Can/Am Ch KushNivas Winterash Seransil CGN CD RE AGN JWWI Am RE) receiving 4 Qualifying Scores in both Advanced B and Excellent B maintaining Ashton's position and top Group 6, top Poodle, & #3 All breed Rally Obedience dog in Canada. Keitha and Rob are beyond proud of their boy Cruiser. At the Edmonton shows he won 3 Hound Group Firsts and a Best In Show!!! What an amazing accomplishment! Congratulations!

CH & SHDCh Davenloch Storm Warning CD RE AGIS AGIJS ADC SGDC HIC VC got his Standard Intermediate & Jumpers Intermediate Agility titles here in July. He took all 1st places in class, as well as Highest Scoring Intermediate Jumpers Dog on Saturday! On Sunday he got his first Standard Excellent Q with a 2nd place in Class. So proud of this dog!

Vicky and Claire made the long (and hot) drive to Reno, NV for the 37th American Spaniel Club national specialty show in July. Claire came home with two qualifying scores in Rally Novice including a first in class and second in class. Vicky and Claire also took part in the rally team event. Four Canadian rally dogs and handlers got together and called themselves “The Eh Team”. They had a successful showing and took first place out of the five teams entered. This unofficial event was so much fun and everyone, win or lose, showed great sportsmanship, teamwork, and love for the sport of rally. The Tail End
A few thoughts from the editor

Pixel- photo by Wendy Devent Summer seemed to take forever to get here, and then POOF! over. Just like that. It is probably the busiest time of year for everyone. Trying to cram in as much fun as possible into a few short months. From the amount of brags in this newsletter it sounds as though our members were out and about in full force. Many titles, Q’s, and great moments!!! It is awesome that our membership is so diverse. I think it is that diversity that is really helping the club to grow. This summer the LDKC held it’s very first stand alone Obedience and Rally Show. It was a major hit, and I think that next year will be even better! We had tons of great feedback from everyone and I think it’s safe to say that those that came this year will be back. The show committee worked hard, and everything went off without a hitch. Again- our small club is absolutely amazing! A few weeks later we hosted a CKC Agility trial. The weather was perfect, the venue great, and again lots of great feedback. Plans are in the works for next year already! It’s hard to believe that summer is over already- and the newsletter is late. Again. I apologise. I’ll be better for the fall one. I promise it’ll be out before Winter. ;) -Amanda
