BPO is the delegation of one or more business processes to an external provider who in turn provides services for the selected process based on certain defined and measurable performance criteria specified by particular organization.

Nearshore outsourcing or 'nearshoring' is outsourcing within nearby region or neighboring country.

refers to the business process being carried out at the organization's location itself.

refers to an organization's business process being carried out at the remote site.
