We operate a Federally Licensed Radio Amateur Service, Repeater Station at an elevation of 2,000 feet above sea level. The coverage area is from Syracuse to Quebec, to Toronto to Buffalo, and back to Syracuse, when the repeater is in good shape. We are known as a wide area repeater. We have been able to provide this service since 1987 with only one (1) fundraiser. As many of you know, we have developed Antenna problems and possibly Feed line ones, as well. The time has come for us to try and raise enough funds to complete repairs on our system. At this time, we are searching for a similar Antenna with the same SPECs as the one there now. Maybe we can get another 25 years free of trouble. At the present time our goal is between $3000 and $4000 for this fund raiser. It will include: Antenna replacement, repair of Hard Line, and tower people to do the repairs. As the secretary of CANAMARA, I will provide an exact report on how and when the funds are spent and for what equipment purchased. We do have our 501(c)(3) from the IRS. We can post a copy of the letter on the web, upon request. All donations will be TAX DECUTABLE. During the repair it will be necessary to shut down the repeater for a short time, especially when we dry out the feed line. To donate funds, no matter how large or how little, please send to: WB2TUP C. Loveland 1102 BOYD STREET WATERTOWN, NY 13601 Please make checks payable to: CANADIAN AMERICAN AMATEUR REPEATER ASSOC. We thank you for your support and hope you use the repeater in good amateur practices. Respectfully, Clarence J. Loveland
