Frank, a business school graduate, returns to his hometown to take a management position in the factory where his father has been working for 30 years. The movie depicts an Employee-Employer relationship, relationship of the unions with the top level employees and also a father-son relationship.

The movie revolves around the issue of a 35 hour work week, proposed by Frank and how the management used this study, as an excuse for downsizing, which included Frank’s father. Also the movie helps us to understand that how strong unions can be in the work-place as they are the ones who ‘work’ for the company and they are the backbone. If they stop working the production comes to a halt and the strategic level has to listen to them as they can’t be ignored.
