Etymology of ganja
Where does the Hindi word ganja comes from that came into English via Hindi. What's the
further etymology of that word.

கஞ்சா kañcā -> U. ghañjā.

The word Ganja is not a Sankrit word and there is no such a word at all. However it is a
Dravidian word.

In Sanskrit it is not Ganja but गञ्
ृ जनः gṛñjanḥ गञ्
ृ जनः The tops of hemp chewed to produce

In Telugu Dictionary it is mentioned as Telugu word and not as Sanskrit word.
