The Claims of Kal Korff
By Rob McConnell The ’X’ Chronicles Newspaper
(June 22 2009) Over the years, Kal Korff has been somewhat of an "paranormal anomaly" in the UFO field - and let us not forget the JFK Assassination and being an expert in the OJ Simpson "Civil" Trial.... or, at least that is what he has tried to convince the world of, and based upon the numerous "Anti-Korff" sites and blogs on the internet, he has failed miserably. I cannot talk for other members of the
Paranormal / UFO Community, but I can talk about my dealings with Kal Korff which may have seemed one sided to may reading this article, but I did have an ulterior motive for my actions. I have no idea when and where Kal Korff came up with the idea that he could actually convince anyone that he was and or is a member of the intelligence community of any nation. During our past talks before Kal disappeared from the US and then reappeared in Prague, Kal never talked about being interested in becoming an intelligence operative, being involved in counter-intelligence or having an interest in Europe, little own his new found alliance with Israel. In the past, Kal has been able to promote himself as a guest on many radio and television talk shows, but since emerging in Europe, it seems that The 'X' Zone has been the only show to give him any time whatsoever. It has now been since the last week of April 2009 that Kal has been on The 'X' Zone Radio Show and he will not be returning. All the Apple iTune Segments with Kal Korff have been deleted. All the 'X' Zone Archive mp3 segments with Kal have been removed from public access. Kal Korff seems to be a figment of his
own imagination. Members of the Intelligence Community that were contact by a private investigation firm in the U.S. with former intelligence operatives had no knowledge of Kal Korff nor the Israel based Special Secret Services that Kal claims to be part of. All members of the "real" intelligence community pointed out that intelligence operatives would never reveal their involvement in intelligence agencies or operations as Kal likes to. The Israeli Government has never heard of the Special Secret Services or a person by the name of Kal Korff. They are concerned that Kal is representing himself as a member of an association that he attached and affiliates to Israel and that he has given himself the rank of Colonel. Is it possible that Kal created this entire fantasy world in order to explain why he so mysteriously in 2000 from the United States and why he so unexpectedly surfaced in Prague? Kal Korff has never said why he disappeared without a trace in 2000 but does lead one to believe that it was all part of his new"hush-hush" secret agent life. Continued on Page 2
The Claims of Kal Korff
The Claims of Kal Korff
Continued from Page 1 Here are some of the lies and misrepresentations that I personally have caught Kal Korff in: * Kal Korff claimed to have developed applications for the Apple iPod and iPhone which took him well over a two year period to develop. Other Apple app’s were up and running way before Kal Korff had even, according to Apple programmers, the most simplest of applications - the Reader. Kal always said that it was due to his “missions” for the S3 and as of late his brothers trial that his priorities had been set - all else had to wait. * Kal Korff told The ‘X’ Zone Nation during a broadcast that he had investors which were putting twenty-five million dollars (USD) into his television series exposing people for commercial fraud and he had asked me to host his series. The pilot was to be shot in Prague. Well, this never happened and his investors seemed to slip away into the night. * Kal Korff told The ‘X’ Zone Nation that he was entering into an agreement with SONY and BONTON in Prague to manage a property that would also be an outlet for his products - this project never materialized. * Kal Korff asked me on The ‘X’ Zone to be the host for a DVD set that he was doing with Michael Horn on the Billy Meier case nothing has ever happened on this project. * Kal Korff said that he was going to charge the following people with consumer fraud - and to this point after more than a year nothing has happened: o Ray Santilli o Bob Gimlim o Billy Meier * Kal Korff had on The ‘X’ Zone, agreed to a Roswell debate with Kevin Randle - of which Kal Korff backed out of at the very last minute. * Kal Korff came on The ‘X’ Zone and said that he was going to expose Kevin Randle with an audit from KPMG, which, not unlike anything Kal says never happened. * Kal Korff had agreed to investigate claims made a member of the US Military of giant skeletons found in Europe, but never did. * Kal Korff claims to have been a witness in the O J Simpson civil trial of which, to this date, no proof has ever been found to substantiate this claim. * There is no proof to substantiate any claims whatsoever that Kal Korff has a 24 volume / 500 book deal with any legitimate publisher. * Kal Korff claimed to have sent us nanotechnology in between the last page and the back cover of a copy of one of his books which we did receive, but after careful examination there was no proof of any nanotechnology found. Kal Korff told me that using a magnification glass or 10 x microscope I would be able to confirm the identity of this nanotechnology. A contact at The University of Waterloo in Ontario said that nanotechnology would NOT be able to be viewed with a magnifying glass or low powered microscope. Continued on Page 3

Yes! We Are Growing!
Those Who Lurk in the Paranormal
* There are no credentials that have ever been shown by Kal Korff that he ever obtained the rank of "Captain" and now "Colonel" in a legitimate military or para-military organization or the Mickey Mouse Fan Club for that matter. Besides, isn't the rank of Major before Colonel? * Kal Korff backed away from a debate with an expert on the JFK assassination that we were arranging. * Kal Korff in one of his last aired interviews on The 'X' Zone told us that by this time, Israel would have attacked Iran by this time. Well, it seems that the self proclaimed intelligence expert missed the mark and his "intell" did not include the recent election and the Iranian people's fight for democracy. * Kal Korff has worked with a number of people in Prague, including a disabled person, who Kal claimed to be the COO if his company. This raises a very interesting question: Why would a Colonel in a secret intelligence agency have to work for someone else... unless this was part of his super secret cover. This relationship did not last very long and ended under questionable circumstances. The last place of employment that used Kal’s services was a school - not a government agency. * Kal agreed to a debate on the Roswell case with Kevin Randle on the show but on the day of the broadcast, just hours from the debate, Kal cancelled saying that he had been called away on a secret mission. We found this to be a lie and that Kal was in fact still in Prague and not in some foreign country fighting terrorism. More of Kal’s claims will be added to this growing list as we continue our investigation into the claims of Kal Korff. However, there is one thing that Kal Korff has always done, and that is not to be afraid to keep his true identity known on his articles, his rants and his raves... as well as his inconsistencies, unlike those who love to bash him at www.kalisanidiot.blogspot.com This is a website that is a meeting place for those who cannot leave Kal Korff alone - it’s a love hate relationship. They monitor Kal, his website, radio shows that he appears on, statements he makes. lies they catch Kal in. On this website, the owner hides behind the internet and keeps his true identity a secret. There are those who even believe that the blog site www.kalisanidiot.blogspot.com is operated by Kal Korff, where Kal is playing his own devil’s advocate. For a group of people who express their hate for Kal, they sure love to promote him! There are many who do not hide their negative feelings for Kal Korff, and many have been invited on The ‘X’ Zone Radio Show to challenge Kal, one-to-one but 99.9% do not even reply to our invitation to come on the show, with the exceptions of Kevin Randle, Michael Horn, Jim Dilettoso and Paul Kimball. To the rest of the crew at www.kalisanidiot.blogspot.com, my offer still stands, just send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will make a date and time available to you to to dispute any claims that Kal Korff has made. The there is the case of Pastor Harry Walther, who is self proclaimed expert on the Bible Code, who is not an ordained Pastor but an internet inductee into the Cyber Church of Universal Religion. Dr Jaysen Rand, has been claiming the following in his biography on his website at www.returnofplanet-x.com: “Dr. Rand received his Honorary Ph.D. in the field of Energyinformative Sciences, from the Academy of Energyinformative Sciences, conducted with Moscow University, Russia. His contributions in the study and pursuit of Extraterrestrial Communications, research into UFO phenomena, cosmology and his representing the United States at The First World UFO Congress (Tucson, AZ - 1991) earned him distinctive recognition and his Doctorate from their Russian Academy of Sciences on December 18, 1992 in Moscow. Jaysen Rand also attended the University of Illinois (Chicago Campus), Palmer School of Business, the National College of Chiropractic and earned three U.S. Army (MOS) school diploma's from (1963 1966). He's also a gold / platinum, multi-award winning music producer / recording artist / songwriter / publisher and recording studio manager being a music A&R executive with real hands-on corporate industry experience. As a Grammy nominated record producer, Rand received significant industry recognition from RIGA, NARAS, NATRA, Billboard, Record World and Cashbox magazines, a Readers Digest article on hot dance music, a 60 - Minutes TV disco dance special, and 3 Dick Clark LA Music Award nominations earning him 35 gold and platinum records. Dr. Rand now resides in Horn Lake, MS. In support of Doctor Rand's creative writing projects based on his Planet-X entertainment concepts, he's written three Teleplays all designed at TV Pilots for weekly series. He believes that these exciting Planet-X adventure themes would easily translate into major contemporary film studio projects followed by several weekly TV series. The author is currently completing a 4CD set of demo sound tracks designed for his writing projects based upon Planet-X and are currently available upon request for audition and production purposes. Jaysen Q Rand has authored three books including The Extraterrestrial Hypothesis, The Cosmic Blueprint For After and The Reality Engineer. Dr. Rand travels widely establishing close ties with his fellow UFOlogists and
paranormal researchers especially in Russia where Rand has close ties with Lt. Col. Marina Popovich and her former husband, Army General Pavel Popovich, who both live in Moscow. Marina and Pavel remain active in the UFO field representing Russia.” Now, when members of The ‘X’ Zone Nation started checking out the claims made on his bio at www.returnofplanet-x.com and they could find nothing to substantiate the claims being made, we once again used the services of our investigation agency in the US, and there was nothing found on a Jaysen Q Rand. Infant, Dr Jaysen Q Rand is really Paul Bondora. Apparently, Jaysen Q Rand is his “pen name.” A check was made with the Recording Academy in Santa Monica, California, who records nominations and winners of the Grammy. Greg Bechtloff said that according to their records, Jaysen Q Rand nor Paul Bondora have ever been nominated for a Grammy and has never won a Grammy. Bruce C Elrod the president of Cashbox Magazine in Ridgeway, South Carolina, has never heard of BONDORA or RAND. According to the UFO Community, Rand “Did Not” represent the United States at the First World UFO Conference in 1991. It is possible that he was there but not representing the United States. We have sent a formal request to the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow requesting authentication of Rand’s claim that in 1992 he relieved an honorary degree from the Academy. As for the Academy of Energyinformative Sciences, we were unable to find any listing for it. There is a listing for the International Academy of Energyinformative Sciences www.acupuncture.ru/pvh-r19e.htm which only has only has one person listed on a linked website which is Porokhnia Victor, who uses this site, www.acupuncture.ru/indexe.htm, that has the “International Academy of Informative Sciences” title atop the page, however, this site lists the occupation of Porokhnia Victor, along with his employment record, style of medical practice, skills, scientific work and achievements, education, social activity, as well as his personal information. If there is another name by which RAND / BONDORA goes by - pen name or other wise, should he not stipulate when writing a biography which name relieved which award, degree, certification or mention? I mean, for example, what does a person who may hold an honorary Ph.D in the art of hamburger making know about astro-physic? If that person knows nothing about astro-physics, but decides to write a book using a pen name other than the name which appears on the honorary degree, and then adding the credentials earned in his hamburger Ph.D to the book on astro-physics, honorary or not, I feel is very misleading to the public. Our investigation continues in the next edition of The ‘X’ Chronicles.

number I had, leaving a message on their recorder each time. About 3:30 a woman returned my call and said to meet them at a Denny's restaurant at 7 PM. I went to Denny's, and a man and woman came in fitting the clothing description she had given me on the phone. The gentleman said, "Are you Dennis", and I said, "Yes". He said, "The gentleman you planned on meeting will not be here." I asked, "Who are you?" He said, "We're Special Agents of the United States Air Force, Office of Special Investigations." I said, "How did you know I was coming over here" and he said, "We knew Monday that you'd be here Friday." I asked, "Is my phone tapped" and he said, "You know how we do business." That meeting at Denny's lasted 3 ½ hours, talking about the alleged gentleman that had the metal, the Roswell Incident, Area 51 and other UFO related events. He had a New Mexico map and we talked about the crash sites, and he had drawings of UFOs that we discussed. Not knowing who I was dealing with and uncomfortable with the situation I was in, I didn't take any notes during the meeting with these two people. The younger lady with him didn't talk much during the meeting. During our discussions he did mention things that I could verify, but also made statements about the Roswell Incident that I hadn't heard before. Upon returning to my hotel, I made a cassette recording of everything I could remember from the meeting, and on my drive back to Roswell made notes when I remembered something else. I made several more phone calls to the son upon returning to Roswell, describing my disappointment with the events that had taken place, and each time someone would come on the phone claiming to be representing the United States Air Force, OSI office. For about 5 days I was paranoid, putting tape on my vehicle hood and fender, (an old police trick), and not knowing what I'd find when returning to my residence each night. I lost weight over the next few weeks and finally contacted Stanton Friedman, since I was now in a situation I had never been in before. Stanton suggested that I go public with the "Interception" for my own protection, which I did by combining my notes into a lecture presentation that I presented at the UFO Museum in October 1997 to a crowd of over 200 people. Stanton was right, and I did feel relieved when I publicly exposed the experience. I had also confided in Don Schmitt, another well-known Roswell researcher, as these were both researchers that I had worked with and respected their experience. Shortly after I went public, another researcher, Frank Warren, got involved with my attempt to determine who I had been dealing with, and more importantly what their motive was by having me come to Oklahoma and being unable to get the results I was seeking. Frank had been involved with UFO research since the 1970's, and today Frank's research has evolved into one of the most informative website blogs on the Internet, www.theufochronicles.com and we have had an outstanding relationship for the past 12 years. I am forever indebted to Frank for the untiring research he has done, particularly his perseverance into "the Interception".

Time and Perseverance Ends the Interception
by Dennis G Balthaser
After 12 years my experience with alleged United States Air Force OSI, (Office of Special Investigation Agents) can finally be put to rest. The end results are not what other researchers that worked with me on it expected at the time of the incident, but it is reassuring to know that after all this time, I can now publicly state what we believe took place and I can move on to other investigations. For those not familiar with "the Interception" back in June 1997, a full account of the incident can be read at: truthseekeratroswell.com/interception.html As a brief recap of the event, I'll try to summarize it in this editorial, and propose the conclusion arrived at with the help of other researchers that became involved 12 years ago. I had been volunteering at the UFO Museum in Roswell less than a year as the UFO investigator, when a phone call was received from a gentleman in Oklahoma that stated his dad had been involved with the Roswell Incident as a military policeman, and he had a piece of metal from the debris field that he wanted to get rid of. Several phone calls took place between the son and myself to arrange a meeting in Oklahoma to interview his Dad and get the metal for testing. Only three people at the UFO Museum, (the Museum Director, Deon Crosby, two founders of the Museum, mortician Glenn Dennis and Max Littell), were aware of the phone calls, and the pending trip I would make to Oklahoma. Since my son was going to college at Oklahoma State in Stillwater, where the gentleman's son's phone calls originated from, I used a visit to my son as a cover story for anyone that questioned why I wasn't at the Museum.
Frank has discovered that I was set up or hoaxed by the "Interception", and that it wasn't the first time this guy claiming to be an OSI agent has scammed someone. Perhaps his motive was the UFO Museum, but as the "Volunteer UFO Investigator" for the Museum, (as determined by the then staff), I was the victim. The woman at the meeting turns out to now be the ex-wife of the alleged agent who met with me, and has admitted to her exhusband perpetrating such hoaxes on other occasions, to other individuals. For the past few years when doing the "Interception" lecture or discussing the event, I have contemplated legal action against this individual, since it turned out that he was impersonating Federal agents, and that I was hoaxed by him. It would seem to me that the United States Air Force would be interested in knowing that someone is impersonating their agents, or perhaps the FBI would be interested in putting an end to such an individual's actions. When it went down in 1997, I really believed that I was on to something, as did other researchers that I confided in pertaining to the Roswell Incident, however I think it's also credible that the truth has come out thanks to our research and teamwork. Admitting that the "Interception" was a hoax is to me an example of how good research can produce positive results and a conclusion to an event or incident. I've learned a lot about such a situation, in the event an opportunity such as this came up again, and I'm thankful that I have access to other researchers that share my same desire to find the truth. The "Interception" happened just as I described it, and it precipitated an investigation, to which the end result exposed a fraud. I will leave the "Interception" experience posted on my website, (adding this final account to it) and hope that it will serve as an example of good research.

Morgellons Disease - The Fibre Disease
by Cliff Mickelson
BEWARE THE SERPENT AMONG US!
“To the ancient peoples of the world this disease was well known, and spoken of with great fear. But, not to 'threads' are these things growing in these Western peoples now, but worms they are. But not to the Western peoples knowing that the word they are using, worm, is actually 'wyrm', and as we well know is the enemy of all human beings, the serpent and dragon.” Sorcha Faal www.whatdoesitmean.com Greetings,...And May We Be Saved From Darkness, By The Light! I am taking the opportunity made available by Sorcha's recent article on the subject of the "Fiber disease" To further expose readers to some of the hallmarks that distinguish this emerging plague. This is knowledge that may one day prove very valuable to all concerned. This is a creature of whom I have written volumes, here and on other Internet sites. And....As Sorcha intimates, this abomination is a creature from the darkest corner of hell. If indeed, as Sorcha claims, the "wyrm" was known to the ancients, then it must be that it's keepers have put it back in it's cage at some time in the distant past. Perhaps now, the door keepers slumber beside open doors? Or...Are they wakeful and malevolent of intent? I suspect that this "wyrm" that is mistakenly called "morgellon's disease, is the product of the blackest genius and of the highest order. To date, very few if any sites on the Internet have an accurate picture or a complete understanding of this plague as it TRULY exists. It is a creation, so well magnificently well designed and adapted to humans as a host, that I am willing to wager that there are likely less than a half dozen world class microbiologists on the planet, (still living, that is) who have the skill or the laboratory facilities necessary to engineer such a magnificent work of evil art. Although there have been several suicides by desperate victims, in and of itself, the current effects of affliction do not appear (so far) to be initially fatal. However, evidence points to the possibility that it slowly eats it's victims alive, beginning with the skin and then progressing to the internal organs and finally the brain. There are also reports of a rather odd empathetic symbiosis that manifests itself on a behavioral and "mental" level between the parasite and its unfortunate victim. About the best analogy I can come up with to describe this relationship is a modified version of the "Borg." For example: Aside from it's physical "organic" effects upon it's victims, it is a documented fact that several forms of adverse emotional
behaviors are created out of the progress of the affliction. This includes massive depression, chronic fatigue, and a loss of interest in all things positive in nature, including family, job, etc. The organism is both systemic and topical, existing in 5 (and possibly 6) different forms, all of which may be found individually and jointly within and on the body of the host. It adepts itself to mimic the products of the body, such as skin, mucus and hair. It does this by imitating them in form and function, and then by replacing them. It often emerges in it's macro-fiber form, out of healthy hair follicles. In this form, It can then be seen growing side by side with the original hair, both of whom are occupying the same follicle. However, the parasite soon kills the original hair and replaces it. It does the same with skin. The skin is replaced by a small flat fluke-like form. These can grow together to form huge patches of what appears to be a thick calloused skin. In fact, it is simply the protective shield of the parasite. It insinuates itself within and under this shield in a lateral fashion. It can be upon occasion be snagged with tweezers and removed. In the removal, it must be torn out through the skin in a manner that is very similar to the way a "rip" string is pulled through and out of the paper of a bag of dog food. Since this is the feeding form of the parasite on the surface, there is always some bleeding that results. It is also this particular form that spawns the nematomorphic worm. This worm, is generally clear, or white, and is the form that is also found using cotton as a vector. When removed from wounds or the skin, this particular nematomorphic worm will undulate and twist in a manner that is very much like that of an angry cobra snake. Several forms produces the worm. The "wyrm" can be initially attached to the fluke, and at later stages can be found in free form. It is also found in the sluglike 'mucus' form. It is the function of the worm to then begin to devour flesh and body fluids. The mucus form bears much in similarity to a slug or snail. It is also born out of the fluke form (though there is evidence that any and all of these forms may be able to
reproduce the others) This form is fond of occupying the nasal cavities, the lungs, and the intestinal tract. It is the mucus "snail" that will be found carrying the red, blue, and other colored micro fibers. It also produces and spreads the hard black "pepper-like" granules that I suspect are a form of hard shell traveling case for future generations of this thing. It is important that we keep in mind that these variations are all but one form. They are parts, (if you will) of a Borg-like colony of creatures that can exist as one, yet are one and the same in different forms. As in a bee hive, they are all simply the sum of the collective, existing only in the form assigned to the successful completion of the necessary task as dictated by the current environment. Interestingly, this parasite also has a proclivity to create skin lesions that will not heal as long as the organism in it's macro-fiber, Nematomorphic worm, or multi colored micro fiber forms continue to remain present. These forms, (especially the macro (hair sized) fiber appear to facilitate the maintenance of body lesions by exhibiting an uncanny ability to block the body from healing itself at any given location where it has created a lesion. Further, any accidental cut will instantly become the domain of this creature. It seems as though any attempt to remove or actively interfere in the process and progress of this organism generates a most violent and actively hostile response on the part of the "collective" It does this by going into what I call, "production overdrive." Producing a prodigious amount of seed pods and other responses that simply overwhelm the available attention capabilities of the host. There remains much yet to be written in the analysis of the nature and behavior of this creature. But that remains the domain of another place and time. In the mean time, I urge you.....be wary of cotton, and above all... Beware of the "Wyrm, The Serpent, and The Dragon"
US Forces' Use of Depleted Uranium Weapons is 'Illegal'
by Neil Mackay Originally Published on Sunday, March 30, 2003 by The Sunday Herald (Scotland)
BRITISH and American coalition forces are using depleted uranium (DU) shells in the war against Iraq and deliberately flouting a United Nations resolution which classifies the munitions as illegal weapons of mass destruction. DU contaminates land, causes ill-health and cancers among the soldiers using the weapons, the armies they target and civilians, leading to birth defects in children. Professor Doug Rokke, ex-director of the Pentagon's depleted uranium project -- a former professor of environmental science at Jacksonville University and onetime US army colonel who was tasked by the US department of defence with the post-first Gulf war depleted uranium desert clean-up -- said use of DU was a 'war crime'. Rokke said: 'There is a moral point to be made here. This war was about Iraq possessing illegal weapons of mass destruction -- yet we are using weapons of mass destruction ourselves.' He added: 'Such double-standards are repellent.' The latest use of DU in the current conflict came on Friday when an American A10 tankbuster plane fired a DU shell, killing one British soldier and injuring three others in a 'friendly fire' incident. According to a August 2002 report by the UN subcommission, laws which are breached by the use of DU shells include: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the Charter of the United Nations; the Genocide Convention; the Convention Against Torture; the four Geneva Conventions of 1949; the Conventional Weapons Convention of 1980; and the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907, which expressly forbid employing 'poison or poisoned weapons' and 'arms, projectiles or materials calculated to cause unnecessary suffering'. All of these laws are designed to spare civilians from unwarranted suffering in armed conflicts. DU has been blamed for the effects of Gulf war syndrome -- typified by chronic muscle and joint pain, fatigue and memory loss -- among 200,000 US soldiers after the 1991 conflict. It is also cited as the most likely cause of the 'increased number of birth deformities and cancer in Iraq' following the first Gulf war. 'Cancer appears to have increased between seven and 10 times and deformities between four and six times,' according to the UN subcommission. The Pentagon has admitted that 320 metric tons of DU were left on the battlefield after the first Gulf war, although Russian military experts say 1000 metric tons is a more accurate figure.
In 1991, the Allies fired 944,000 DU rounds or some 2700 tons of DU tipped bombs. A UK Atomic Energy Authority report said that some 500,000 people would die before the end of this century, due to radioactive debris left in the desert. The use of DU has also led to birth defects in the children of Allied veterans and is believed to be the cause of the 'worrying number of anophthalmos cases -- babies born without eyes' in Iraq. Only one in 50 million births should be anophthalmic, yet one Baghdad hospital had eight cases in just two years. Seven of the fathers had been exposed to American DU anti-tank rounds in 1991. There have also been cases of Iraqi babies born without the crowns of their skulls, a deformity also linked to DU shelling. A study of Gulf war veterans showed that 67% had children with severe illnesses, missing eyes, blood infections, respiratory problems and fused fingers. Rokke told the Sunday Herald: 'A nation's military personnel cannot wilfully contaminate any other nation, cause harm to persons and the environment and then ignore the consequences of their actions. 'To do so is a crime against humanity. 'We must do what is right for the citizens of the world -- ban DU.' He called on the US and UK to 'recognise the immoral consequences of their actions and assume responsibility for medical care and thorough environmental remediation'. He added: 'We can't just use munitions which leave a toxic wasteland behind them and kill indiscriminately. 'It is equivalent to a war crime.' Rokke said that coalition troops were currently fighting in the Gulf without adequate respiratory protection against DU contamination.
The Sunday Herald has previously revealed how the Ministry of Defence had testfired some 6350 DU rounds into the Solway Firth over more than a decade, from 1989 to 1999.
UFO over Neverland Ranch
the aliens on the moon to kick human butt because bombing the moon was against the Geneva convention. This story had over 200 comments. I had to wonder, do people really honestly believe this stuff? I know some kids who believe in aliens living on the moon, but do adults really believe this kind of stuff. Sadly the answer is yes. So why do people believe in these kinds of things, like UFO’s and secret societies and government cover ups? There is good reason. Believe it or not there are secrets in this world. Not every piece of information is shared with everyone else. There are good reasons and sometimes not so good reasons for secrets. So in a world full of sinners where real secrets exist, stories can get stretched out of proportion and people get so suspicious they are afraid of their own shadows. The other big part of the puzzle is education. Many people in this country (as well as many other countries) are not educated enough to understand logic and to realize when a story is filled with exaggerations or lies that don’t add up scientifically or any other way. We also do sometimes find cover ups of real secrets that were done for personal, selfish reasons or that we’re actually hidden for the country’s safety and security. So, lack of education, suspicion, real secrets and sinful mankind, lead people to believe in all kinds of crazy ideas. UFO’s most likely do not exist. Sure in a universe full of diversity it may be possible that other living creatures may be out there. But science has shown that every planet that is even remotely close to us does not have the ability to sustain life. Yes it’s possible that maybe alien life is different and doesn’t require what we do to live or aliens are so much smarter than us that they know how to break the laws of physics and travel to our planet from thousands of light years away. However, it is unlikely and if it were true, there would be more than odd sightings here and there filmed by one individual with a bad camera. Secret societies, yes they exist. Some aren’t that secret and admit they exist, they just don’t talk about in public what they do in private. This only serves to make people guess about what they do and these societies can encourage false rumors to keep people from knowing what they really do. Secret societies, like any group exist to promote an agenda that its members believe in. For example, if you have an environmental club you and other members will work to protect the environment. The Builderberg group does exist, the members include many famous and powerful people of different geographic and political backgrounds. It makes sense that powerful people who have some ideas in common would want to promote an agenda they believe in. Could it be world domination? Not likely, the people in this group do have very different backgrounds and trying to rule the world by one group with so many divergent opinions just isn’t practical, besides these people on their own already have a lot of control over the world. In short, you need to worry more about your own local and national government doing the things they say they will do, rather than worrying about secret agendas or alien invasions. If I’m wrong you can laugh at me when ET knocks on my door with a ray gun. But that’s a chance I’m willing to take.
UFO over Neverland Ranch: More witnesses come forward
All News - Jadyn Cassidy
Michael Jackson's passing appears to even be attracting the attention of extraterrestrials. Last week ufologist Michael Cohen received an email from a man claiming to have seen a luminous green UFO hovering over Neverland Ranch the morning after the day Jackson died. Since putting out this story we have received about a dozen other emails claiming to have seen UFOs over Neverland in the last week. Some witnesses describe glowing lights while others claim to have seen out and out flying saucers. One grieving Michael Jackson fan claims to have seen the same glowing green light we originally reported along with another friend. Her (slightly edited for grammatical errors and text message-style abbreviations) email states that: 'Just read your post on the UFO over Neverland after doing a search, I am certain I saw that same UFO. Myself and a devastated friend decided to drive past Neverland Friday morning as a way of paying respects to MJ's achievements when we too saw a glowing green light above the area. The UFO lingered for a few minutes and then seemed to vanish. My friend joked that it might be an alien spaceship that had come to see what's happening and I kind of ignored her until I read the post. The world just lost a precious treasure, perhaps he has now gone to a better place'. Linda Thomas, LA We realise some of these emails are wind-ups but others may well be real. One can only guess what role aliens are playing in the whole Michael Jackson saga as well as his passing. 'Perhaps visiting aliens are merely shaking their heads in dismay at the whole circus, realising how little hope humanity has of ever really making it and joining any universal community' noted UFO expert Michael Cohen.
UFO trolley tours now appearing in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach
UFOs, the Bilderbergers, the illuminati and other secret agendas we believe in
by Larry Amon
Yesterday I read an article about NASA bombing the moon to look for water, the story was on the Seattle Exopolitics Examiner page. In case you didn’t know, exopolitics is the politics between man and extraterrestrials. One commenter on the story said “there are thousands of DOCUMENTED FACT out there...GO FIND IT>>> I DARE YOU!! watch the Disclosure project, listen to alex collier and william cooper RIP killed in cold blood by the cia, proof in its self that he was speaking the truth” and other comments were encouraging
Looking for the perfect evening jaunt to enjoy with friends and family? Join Captain Kirk, Scotty, and aliens of various shades and shapes as we lift off from our Pensacola home base. Five Flags Trolley Company is offering a rare opportunity to experience the sights that made Gulf Breeze famous as the UFO capital of the world. There have been hundreds of documented cases from locals, tourists, and UFO hunters. Join us as we visit strange new worlds in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach. Stop 1: Home of Ed Walters In November 1987, Ed Walters and his family claimed to have several encounters with UFOs, including an abduction. In the years since, many people have tried to discredit Walters, but his reporting remains one of the strongest UFO sightings in the United States. On our tour, Walters will be portrayed by a crew member who will board the trolley and explain the controversy surrounding the discovery of a model space ship in the attic of the Walters home. An attendant will distribute aluminum foil and demonstrate the procedure for making protective hats to avoid the destructive influences of mind control by aliens who may be lurking at the next stop. Meanwhile, attentive tour participants may sight a space ship hovering in the Walters backyard. Stop 2: Shoreline Park A small boating and family barbecue spot, Shoreline Park is home to hundreds of sighting reports from regulars and visitors alike. During our tour, the Captain will keep a lookout for aliens approaching the ship from their underwater base. The creatures may attempt to enter the trolley. Only quick action by the crew will save you from abduction. However, the aliens may choose one human as tribute. Stop 3: Flying Saucer House Aliens have been living on Pensacola Beach in peaceful coexistence with humans for the past 40 years. The saucer landed on Panferio Drive in 1969. It is 36 feet in diameter and was marketed by a nowdefunct California company under the name Future Fiberglass Homes. What better way to hide than in plain sight? You will be greeted by emissaries who will offer a toast to intergalactic relations. Delicious food samples from the Romulan Star Empire will be distributed. We'll take group photos on the ramp. Five Flags Trolley Company is located at 226 E Intendencia Street, Pensacola. For more information about the UFO tours, call (850) 435-0914 or visit www.fiveflagstrolley.com.
Mile wide UFO seen by British pilots
Mile wide UFO seen by British pilots
One of the largest UFOs ever seen has been observed by the crew and passengers of an airliner over the Channel Islands. An official air-miss report on the incident several weeks ago appears in Pilot magazine. Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, flying close to Alderney first spotted the object, described as "a cigar-shaped brilliant white light". Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, described what he thought to be a UFO as 'a cigar-shaped brilliant white light', similar to the image supplied by Dennis Plunket of the British Flying Saucer bureau As the plane got closer the captain viewed it through binoculars and said: "It was a very sharp, thin yellow object with a green area. "It was 2,000ft up and stationary. I thought it was about 10 miles away, although I later realised it was approximately 40 miles from us. At first, I thought it was the size of a [Boeing] 737. "But it must have been much bigger because of how far away it was. It could have been as much as a mile wide." Continuing his approach to Guernsey, Bowyer then spied a "second identical object further to the west". He said: "It was exactly the same but looked smaller because it was further away. It was closer to Guernsey. I can't explain it. This was clearly visual for about nine minutes. "I'm certainly not saying that it was something of another world. All I'm saying is that I have never seen anything like it before in all my years of flying." The sightings were confirmed by passengers Kate and John Russell. John, 74, said: "I saw an orange light. It was like an elongated oval." The sightings were also confirmed by an unnamed pilot with the Blue Islands airline. The Civil Aviation Authority safety notice states that a Tri-Lander aircraft flying close to Alderney spotted the object. "Certain parts of the report have not been published. I cannot say why," said a senior CAA source. The UK MOD has opened its UFO files to the public, but which files is another question.
Author: Feds to admit UFOs soon
Mannix Porterfield Register-Herald Reporter
Expect the government to remove the lid soon on a secret it has held religiously more than half a century: Unidentified Flying Objects are real and come from outer space, says a West Virginia author on the verge of releasing his second book on the subject. Kyle Lovern figures United States authorities have covered up the existence of UFOs since the celebrated 1947 incident in
Roswell, N.M., out of fear they couldn’t control global unrest and fear. “They thought the public would panic,” says Lovern, whose latest book is a sequel to his first effort, “Appalachian Case Study: UFO Sightings, Alien Encounters.” “We went through World War II, the Korean War and the Cold War. They knew there was nothing we could do if these people were coming here from another planet. People would have panicked 40, 50 years ago. Look at the impact the ‘War of the Worlds’ broadcast by Orson Welles had on the public.” Given the plethora of attention given UFOs since the late 1940s, however, in movies, books, and documentaries, public attitudes have changed, and fear now seems to have been replaced by curiosity, and a strong desire to know the truth, Lovern said Monday in an interview. “I do think things have changed now,” the former West Virginia newsman said. “I think we’re very close to disclosure. I do believe there has been a cover-up. My good friend, Stanton Friedman (the world’s premier authority and researcher) has called it a ‘cosmic Watergate,’ which I thought was a good quote.” Lovern points to the credibility of astronauts Edgar Mitchell, who walked longer on the moon than anyone else in the Apollo 14 mission, and Gordon Cooper, who have insisted they saw evidence of UFOs in space exploration. “These are well-educated, military guys, and they have come forth now,” the author said. “They just don’t want to take it with them. People want to know the truth. There have been just too many educated, honest and respected people who have seen a UFO or know someone close to them who have witnessed a sighting. And there have been at least two presidents who saw them — Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan.” The late Sen. Barry Goldwater, a retired Air Force brigadier general and pilot, once was quoted as saying, “I certainly believe in aliens in space and that they are indeed visiting our planet. They may not look like us, but I have very strong feelings that they have advanced beyond our mental capabilities.” One source who has spent years researching the subject — Frank Feschino — has suggested West Virginia has been the favorite target of UFO visits.
“My theory is because we’re a remote area, very mountainous,” Lovern said. “They would be less likely to be detected than in a heavy populated area. There also have been a lot of sightings in the Southwest, desert areas, places that are not as populated. So, if you didn’t want to be seen, that would be the place to go.” Lovern says it only makes sense that aliens would come to earth and snoop around as explorers. “We’re explorers,” he said. “We’ve been to the moon and want to go to Mars. We’ve got a space station lab. What’s the difference if another race of some kind from another planet would want to come here and explore, too? That’s why they venture to earth, to check us out and study our natural resources and do scientific study.” Are they also snatching up humans for some medical studies? Lovern covers this aspect of the UFO phenomenon in his sequel, which bears nearly the same title, except the phrase “alien encounters” is replaced with “alien abductions.” Lovern says it only makes sense that aliens would come to earth and snoop around as explorers. “We’re explorers,” he said. “We’ve been to the moon and want to go to Mars. Alien Autopsy Inquest by Philip Mantle
The so-called Alien Autopsy film was released by London businessman Ray Santilli in August of l995. It made newspaper and TV headlines around the world. This film has gone down in UFO history as the most controversial piece of film ever. At the forefront of research into this film from the very beginning was former BUFORA Director of Investigations Philip Mantle. He was the first recognised UFO researcher contacted by Ray Santilli in l993 and he has been attempting to get to the bottom of this controversial film ever since. Now, for the very first time, Philip Mantle brings together 14 years worth of research and investigation into one book; ‘Alien Autopsy Inquest’. This unique 280 page (illustrated) work is published by PublishAmerica and is unique in every sense of the word. There is no other book that is dedicated entirely to the Alien Autopsy film. This book looks at the film from every conceivable angle, interviews and questions the relevant experts from around the world, and presents the facts as we know them. At the end of the book a number of possible scenarios are put forward to possibly explain the nature and origin of this controversial film, but in the end the reader is left to make up their own mind.

Crashing into the Whitehouse
Crashing into the White House: CIA, 9/11, UFOs, and the Extraterrestrial Presence
by Gary S. Bekkum
"Maybe you can save the Little Chicken with one of your "news" articles. He gets so excited when you are working on one [of] those articles that he stops thinking about crashing into the White House." Ron Pandolfi, who had a day job working out of an office at the Defense Intelligence Agency for the Director of National Intelligence, was referring to his friend and associate, Dan Smith, who had been dubbed "Chicken Little" of the infamous AVIARY UFO group. The idea of a metaphorical crashing was an apt image for those seeking government disclosure from the Executive Office. Smith, the son of a former Eisenhower Administration tax adviser, had worked hard to earn his role as the AVIARY resident eschatologist: he pondered the uncharted religious territory implied by the government's UFO "phenomenology problem," where the end of science smashes head first into the end of the world. One of the truly unforgettable scenes inspired by real UFO sightings is a flying disc crashing into the US Capitol Building from the 1950s sci-fi cult classic EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS. The UFO invasion of Washington would eventually be re-imagined on a grander scale in a spectacular scene visualizing the total destruction of the White House, from the 1996 alien invasion flick INDEPENDENCE DAY. "BREAKING NEWS: WHITE HOUSE LEVELED BY EXTRATERRESTRIALS" would qualify as the kind of UFO "phenomenology problem" guaranteed to elicit an executive statement. Unfortunately, according to Smith, his friend Pandolfi, who specializes in "measurement and signature" intelligence, told him the real "phenomenology problem" is elusive and can't be traced. Instead of tracking UFOs, the intelligence community has focused on tracking the "persons involved with the phenomena." Notice he left out whether the "phenomena" was real, or an imagined but effective means of altering human behavior. I'll return to the question of intelligence officials and social control later in this series. Smith had long pondered how to draw media attention and the President to the UFO "phenomenology problem" -- a flying saucer or two landing on the White House lawn on prime time TV would probably do the trick -- although crashing the White House gate has become more than a metaphor in the post 9/11 world. All joking aside, Smith had been so concerned that his friend Pandolfi may have known something about 9/11 in advance that he made a statement to a female Special Agent at the Baltimore Office of the FBI days later. Perhaps he should have sought out the Secret Service instead. Smith envisions a day when the President of the United States will be asked by the mainstream media why some of his highest ranking intelligence officials are pursuing the UFO topic. The President would smile, wave his hand at the eager and bewildered reporters, add "sorry folks, no comment," and walk out the door. The events of 9/11 may have closed the Presidential disclosure door permanently. Meanwhile, a slow trickle of real evidence of official government interest in the strange and unnatural has been largely ignored by the mainstream media. Unlike the bogus and questionable documents held in high regard by UFO believers, the new evidence comes from unlikely sources, including the CIA. There is a clear pattern of interest in a "phenomenology problem" and even greater interest in "how can we use this" with an emphasis on "clandestine services." Stranger than the historical record is the verified present day involvement of key intelligence officials in UFO-related matters. Over the past several years a new "phenomenology problem" has appeared, this time on the Internet. One of the best known, and most controversial, is the strange tale of SERPO, an on-line "disclosure" of the US government and extraterrestrial aliens. The knotty twists and turns of the SERPO "SoaP OpERa" wind around various players, with email messages shared among a "Team of Three" and later another "Team of Five," unknown sources claiming to work for the DIA, citizen snoops faking Internet identities and hacking into private email accounts to gain access to personal communications, all followed by intelligence officials and contractors scrambling to provide "damage control" and redirect the course of the various agendas at play. Perhaps more was at stake than a few bruised reputations. It was Ron Pandolfi, the highly placed intelligence official and friend of Dan Smith, who released a series of email messages to and from Dr. Christopher Kit Green of the DIA TIGER Committee -- messages which include discussion of FBI involvement and the Justice Department. The questionable use or misuse of references to FBI by both Green and Pandolfi are particularly troubling, given a generic inquiry to the FBI about Internet contact with CIA and DIA officials returned a response from the local Joint Terrorism Task Force. It is a matter of public record that Pandolfi and his associates operated from the DIA, and Green consulted to TIGER, a DIA National Academies of Science committee. Following the SERPO email affair, AFP and other mainstream news sources reported that the DIA "can operate in cyberspace" and can "conduct the operations inside the United States as well as overseas." The DIA cyberspace initiative had begun in 2006 "on a trial basis," around the same time Green engaged Pandolfi over the SERPO affair. The AFP report, which quoted Toby Sullivan, a senior Pentagon CI (counterintelligence) official, noted that the on-line operations were "not intended to catch spies but to turn their operations to US ends."
The operational use of the Internet by the DIA, inside of the United States, suggests the concept of "virtual flypaper" and "flypaper theory." It is not entirely impossible for official US Intelligence or their proxies in the private sector to establish enticing "sticky" topics to attract spy-flies. The big question is how much collateral damage spills over onto US citizens. Pandolfi seemed determined to identify former USAF operative Rick Doty as the source of the SERPO madness, at least as far as the public was concerned. In September of 2006, he wrote to Doty: "What concerns me is whether you are working for a foreign intelligence service. That has been my sole interest in you from when I first heard your name and it has been the sole focus of my interactions with OSI and FBI concerning your behaviors and whereabouts. Recently Dr. Green relayed to me a claim attributed to you that two DIA employees had identified John Gannon as the source of the SERPO story and Mr. Anonymous. As I anticipated the two names you provided to Dr. Green are not those of DIA employees. The most likely case is that you invented these sources to cover your unauthorized access to sensitive facilities including Los Alamos and SANDIA where you may have attempted to access classified information." From the beginning the Internet spies had been aware of allegations claiming that John Gannon, the former Deputy Director for Intelligence at CIA, was the original SERPO Anonymous source. In 2006 the Intelligence Community was being widely outsourced, and Gannon's new role at BAE Systems put him in charge of hundreds of qualified analysts in the private sector. Was a private intelligence operation involved in the machinations of the SERPO Affair? One source seemed to think so. Pandolfi would later explain to a colleague, "You were correct that my interest is not specifically in Doty. My interest in temporarily removing Doty from the plot is to test whether another actor will fill the role." Months later Pandolfi responded to my request for an explanation of his unusual methods. "None of the e-mails I provided to Dan involved government activities," Pandolfi explained, somewhat elusively, "They involved personal communications between me, Dan, Kit, and Rick, concerning fabricated e-mail accounts used to disseminate false documents about UFOs, SERPO, etc. for which government (intelligence) officials such as John Gannon were falsely implicated." Pandolfi then noted the issue of "sources and methods" and later requested numerous redactions. Either members of the intelligence community had contracted Internet madness, or something else was at play. I questioned why highly placed and respected individuals would risk so much by exposing themselves to ridicule, not to mention the attention of the world intelligence community, some who are no as friendly as their American counterparts.

Roswell UFO Festival Day 0-1- First encounter with an alien
By Larry Rimbert
since may people forget to change their cruise control, as was my case, from 75 to 65 mph. I tried to get a picture, but he refused. "Our kind is not known for being nice and it would be out of character for me to allow a photo to be published! Besides," he continued "I've read your articles, good job, but I don't want to be associated with the likes of the other aliens!" He then told me of a UFO he'd seen and chased at a speed of up to over 100 mpg, years ago. He further told me that if I wanted good UFO stories to contact the local sheriff's office as they have seen lots of UFOs. I was happy that my readership extended this far, I reached over to put my driver's information away and then as I looked up, he was gone!!! I'm not sure if this was real or just a dream, but the ticket in my hand was just too revealing! As quickly as he had come, the "alien" was gone! Getting stopped by a local Sheriff's patrol car! It can't get more "alien" than that! So, I get back on the road to Roswell this time at 65 mph. Not exactly warp speed but it will get me there! I've had just too much excitement for the day!! Somehow, I have to make up for missing time! As I reach my destination, I check in and then meet up with my assistant. Kathy has lived in Roswell for almost 20 years. She has been kind enough to take off work to show me around and show me the preparations underway, the museum, the Roswell hangers, the convention center and local sites. Kathy will help me visit and take pictures of the festivities. Then I am back to getting my game plan ready for tomorrow. As do many of the Roswellites, ( is that right? Maybe it's Roswell - aliens?) they take this WORLD event in stride. I say "WORLD" event because I am told that there are people coming from the U.K., Australia and Canada! Some, as a result of my articles! I will definitely go see the vendors setting up, the convention center and the Miss Roswell UFO Festival tonight! Also, I'll get me a temporary phone. I transferred from Verizon because of terrible customer service. I was happy with Cricket until they told me I would have service here, but I found out I don't! I hope a CEO from either Verizon or Cricket reads this and I'll tell them what I really think of their service! IF you know of a good, reliable and inexpensive cell service, let me know! Now I am wondering . . . Am I in the right place? MUFON reported that for the Month of June, out of 356 reports of UFO sightings, 26 were in Colorado and only 9 were in New Mexico? Maybe the extraterrestrials decided to hold THEIR convention elsewhere! If so, I'll find it! Watch for my next report and I'll tell you how the day goes - the day before the festivities begin!
FROM ROSWELL UFO FESTIVALS OF DAYS GONE BY
So here I am, driving down Highway 25, south to Roswell and just minding my own business, I found some great tunes on the radio (Lou Rawls -You'll Never Find a Love Like Mine -very appropriate for the moment- LOL!) and then I turn on to South Highway 84. Again minding my own business - when all of a sudden I see it . . right if front of me! I was as big as a large SUV, brown in color red lights everywhere, flashing. If seemed to come out of nowhere! I quickly slowed down from my speed, going the limit of 75, and I noticed that there were road signs in front of me warning of road work ahead. This UFO passed me and I looked in the rear-view mirror as it turned and was now coming towards me My heart rapidly beating, I wasn't sure if I should pull over and hope it would pass in front of me or if I should try to race to some shelter! The sun was blinding me; I couldn't make out its appearance. Was it a cigar shape? From out of nowhere this towering shadow of a figure was at my car door! The sun still in my eyes, I could not ascertain if it was a Gray, a Reptilian, or what it was. A BROWN? Never read about this type, but it was hideous nonetheless! It peered at me through it's dark black eyes! "Do you know how fast you were going?", it asked? It was attempting to communicate. I remarked, "In miles per hour or light years?" I smiled. My comment did merit a smirk out of it! I knew then that it was friendly! I continued, "I believe I was going the speed limit." . . .trying to get out of there with the least possible damage! Still blinded by the sunlight, only to see a shadow of the "alien". He retorted, "The speed limit changes from 75 on the federal highway to 65 on the state highway!" "OUCH!!" I remarked! "You're hurting me already, and I haven't even gotten out of the vehicle! You aren't going to do any thing like . . . like . . . an alien probe are you?" I asked, fearing of what the answer may be! "Please don't take me to the 'Mother ship'" I begged! I was really hoping to get away with only a warning. "No, but I am going to give you an "implant" and charge you for speeding! Sign here!", he said. I saw the smirk change to a full grin! He was taking pleasure in my discomfort! He couldn't even let me go with a warning. Geez! What a racket they have at that intersection! I'm told it happens frequently
UFOs - A Challenge to Science
have taken too many drugs or drink too much. This general attitude presents a substantial obstacle when it comes to involving scientists in the study of UFOs. There is an even more serious obstacle in the way of the scientific investigation of UFOs. The scientific and academic communities in particular do not take kindly to the investigation of the UFO phenomenon by their peers and colleagues. There have been significant negative consequences in terms of career and reputation for those scholars and scientists who have taken the subject seriously. The story of the internationally-renowned Harvard psychiatrist John E. Mack, MD is a case in point. After an exemplary 35-year career with Harvard, Dr. Mack was nearly stripped of his tenure and his license to practice medicine because of his investigations of UFOs and encounters with intelligent extraterrestrial beings. Perhaps the most significant obstacle in the way of scientific research involves the official secrecy--based on national security claims--that surrounds the UFO phenomenon. Officially, since at least 1947, the U.S. government has dismissed UFOs as misidentifications of ordinary aircraft, planets, stars, or natural weather phenomena. Unofficially, over the same period, the U.S. government has taken an intense interest in UFOs, classifying them at a secrecy level higher than that for the hydrogen bomb. Even the President of the United States does not receive a full briefing on classified UFO matters. This cloak of secrecy keeps crucial hard data, collected by the military and a range of intelligence agencies, out of the hands of scientists, thus critically hampering a complete investigation of the phenomenon. The late Carl Sagan, a proponent of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program, which uses radiotelescopes to search for signs of intelligent life in the universe, was the foremost UFO debunker of the last 25 years. A statement that Dr. Sagan made regarding UFOs has been widely quoted, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." In his view, the claims of those who accept the reality of UFOs are extraordinary but are not supported by sufficient objective evidence. Noted UFO expert and best-selling author Budd Hopkins considers Dr. Sagan's remark to be disingenuous. According to Mr. Hopkins, "Extraordinary phenomena require an extraordinary investigation." In other words, the scientific community does not have the proof it needs because the scientific community is not undertaking a serious investigation of the UFO phenomenon. Why? Because the prevailing opinion among scientists is that UFOs do not exist. Since UFOs do not exist, there is nothing to investigate. Is a scientific inquiry into this phenomenon worth the effort? Nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, a man who has devoted the last 35 years to a scientific investigation of the UFO phenomenon, believes that if the mainstream media devoted the same amount of effort to solving the Cosmic Watergate that they did to solving the political Watergate, the UFO question could be answered in six months. Recently, Peter Sturrock authored a scientific study of UFOs that was published in the Journal of Scientific Exploration which concluded that there exists a significant body of evidence about UFOs that demands a thorough scientific investigation. So what do scientists need to conduct a serious investigation of the UFO phenomenon? Scientists need: (1) a physical phenomenon to observe; (2) the formulation of a hypothesis about the phenomenon; (3) experiments to test the hypothesis; and (4) conclusions based on the results of the tests that confirm, refute or modify the hypothesis. The UFO phenomenon meets all four of these scientific requirements: (1) There is a physical phenomenon to observe. UFOs have been seen worldwide for over 50 years and captured on still and motion picture film and on videotape. There are a number of databases available, each of which contains tens of thousands of documented reports of UFO sightings. (2) Hypotheses have been formulated. There are many variations of a simple hypothesis: UFOs are intelligently-controlled, physical craft not of Earthly origin. (3) There is physical evidence that can be scientifically tested. Physical evidence of UFO operations in and around the Earth's atmosphere, as well as on the surface of the Earth, exists and has been studied scientifically (e.g., soil samples, radiation effects, electromagnetic activity). (4) Evidence-based conclusions can be drawn by scientists. The results of the scientific tests will confirm, refute or modify the hypothesis that UFOs are physical craft not of Earthly origin.
UFOs - A Challenge to Mainstream Science
By Patricia B. Corbett
For the last half of the 20th century, the UFO phenomenon has perplexed both the public and the scientific community. At the beginning of the 21st century, the overwhelming majority of the American public-about 70%--believes that UFOs are real and that they most likely are guided by intelligent beings from other worlds or dimensions. The scientific advances and discoveries that have resulted from our own human space program have helped shape the views of the American public on UFOs and extraterrestrial life. The scientific community, however, remains uninterested in and scornfully dismissive of the question of the reality of UFOs and the possibility of intelligent extraterrestrial life visiting Earth. Yet, even as scientists and astronomers discover new planets and solar systems; find exotic life forms on Earth that thrive in extreme environments previously thought to be uninhabitable; and uncover tantalizing hints of life on at least 10 bodies within our own solar system, mainstream scientists continue to mock and deride those who take the phenomenon of UFOs seriously. What is needed to change the prevailing view of mainstream science concerning UFOs? First, it is essential to present this important phenomenon to serious scientists in a context with which they are familiar, namely, the discipline of science as it is practiced today. Second, it is equally important to show that the tools of science can be used to investigate the UFO phenomenon and to reach valid conclusions about it. What is needed to accomplish this? Let's look at what science itself is and what it requires. Science is an objective, disciplined methodology for investigating natural phenomena. Scientists--those having expert knowledge of one or more of the existing scientific disciplines--use the scientific method in their efforts to extend and deepen our understanding of the physical world. The scientific method is defined in the dictionary as "the principles and empirical processes of discovery and demonstration that are characteristic of or necessary for scientific investigation." In general, the scientific method involves the observation of a phenomenon, the formulation of a hypothesis about the phenomenon, experimentation designed to demonstrate the truth or falseness of the hypothesis, and a conclusion that validates or modifies the hypothesis. Does the prevailing mindset foster a scientific inquiry into this subject? Unfortunately not. Despite the widespread public acceptance of the reality of UFOs, the impression one receives about the phenomenon from the mass media is that it is not a serious subject worthy of the attention of serious minds. Rather, as presented on TV or in newspapers and magazines, the UFO phenomenon is a goofy, fringe subject of interest only to the uneducated, fans of science fiction and others with over-excited imaginations, or those who
The Best Available Evidence
The wealth of evidence available for scientific scrutiny cannot be brought out in detail in this brief essay. However, some of the major areas of research and some of the significant scientific contributions can be described as a starting point for scientists interested in the subject. Contrary to popular accounts in the media, and to many scholarly articles on UFOs, the phenomenon is quite frequently reported by scientists, military personnel, police officers, commercial and private airplane pilots. Also contrary to popular belief, UFO reports are not limited to rural areas or confined to the United States. The phenomenon has been reported in about 150 nations and over major metropolitan areas in the U.S, the U.K, the former U.S.S.R., Germany, France, Spain, all the Scandinavian countries, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, throughout Africa and Central and South America, and at both the North and South Poles. UFOs have also been reported quite frequently over civilian and military nuclear facilities; at military bases in the U.S. and worldwide; above and beneath the surface of the Earth's oceans; and outside the Earth's atmosphere.

In other words, there is scarcely a place on Earth that UFOs have not been witnessed and reported by reliable people. The best available evidence for scientists to ponder comes from every corner of the world. Scientists should be particularly impressed by the evidence presented by the following professionals: Astronomers Astronauts and Cosmonauts Aeronautical engineers Air traffic controllers Airline, military and private pilots Civil defense and ground corps observers Government officials Military personnel other than pilots Police officers Professors of engineering, physics, space science Professional photographers (still, motion picture and video) Radar operators The reports made by numerous credible, trained men and women have provided a wealth of "hard data" that scientists can analyze with known instrumentation and procedures. In addition, scientists can review studies of such data that have already been completed by reputable scientists. Two recent examples are described briefly below. If a serious study of the physical evidence relating to the UFO phenomenon-such as the one conducted by Peter A. Sturrock and his colleagues and described in the book The UFO Enigma: A New Review of the Physical Evidence--were conducted by scientists, it would not only raise the level of the debate but also encourage more scientists to study the phenomenon, develop and test new ideas, and draw their own conclusions. This could not help but advance our knowledge of this perplexing phenomenon. Sturrock provides convincing evidence that the UFO phenomenon is accessible to scientific analysis and that it merits and warrants scientific study. In the book, Unconventional Flying Objects: A Scientific Analysis, Paul R. Hill, a well-respected NASA scientist, has put the UFO phenomenon to just the kind of rigorous scientific scrutiny that the phenomenon demands. His research shows that UFOs "obey, not defy, the laws of physics." Dr. Hill has reported on the basic science and technology that is at the heart of the near-miraculous performance capabilities that witnesses describe UFOs as possessing. In precise detail, Dr. Hill shows how the descriptions of UFO behavior, made by credible witnesses, are in accord with what we know about physics. Serious scientists cannot ignore Dr. Hill's important work. Dr. J. Allen Hynek, PhD, a highly respected astronomer, was for years the leading Air Force consultant for Project Blue Book, the official U.S. Air Force investigation of flying saucers. The evidence gathered by the Air Force--which was determined to "explain away" the phenomenon--changed Dr. Hynek from a UFO skeptic to one of the world's leading scientific experts on the UFO phenomenon. Any scientific investigation of UFOs must include the study of Hynek's books The UFO Experience, The Edge of Reality and The Hynek UFO Report. It is crucial to keep in mind that, although Dr. Hynek became aware of the dishonesty and duplicity of the Air Force in its UFO-related efforts, it was the physical evidence that caused Dr. Hynek to make a radical turn from a UFO debunker to a UFO scholar. Even the work of Dr. Edward U. Condon, a man who had prejudged the UFO phenomenon and determined the results of his investigation before he began it, provides scientific evidence supporting the belief that UFOs are a real phenomenon worthy of scientific inquiry. Dr. Condon was commissioned by the U.S. Air Force to study UFOs. The official goal was to understand the phenomenon. The unofficial goal was to wipe UFOs off the public radar screen once and for all. On January 8, 1969, "The Final Report of the Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects," conducted by the University of Colorado, under contract to the United States Air Force, was released. Dr. Condon was the scientific director. The results of the report were used by the Air Force as its justification to close Project Blue Book and end its official involvement with UFOs. Ina press release that accompanied the complete 900-plus page report, Dr. Condon claimed that the evidence suggested that UFOs were not worthy of scientific inquiry, that nothing of further value would come from such an effort. The media only looked at the press release, not the actual report, accepted Dr. Condon's claims at face value, and trumpeted them worldwide. It seemed the scientific case was closed. However, serious scientists, such as David R. Saunders (co-Principal Investigator of the Condon Committee), Stanton Friedman, Peter A. Sturrock and others have noticed major discrepancies between what the press release said was in the report and what was actually in the report. For example, the press release stated that only a few percent of cases investigated remained unsolved, whereas, in fact, about 30 percent of the cases investigated remained unexplained. This is a very high figure indeed, one suggesting the need for further scientific study. In addition, a reading of the text of the report clearly shows that UFOs present a significant challenge to contemporary science. Even the work of a determined debunker such as Dr. Condon revealed that the UFO phenomenon is in urgent need of scientific evaluation and comprehension. Carl Sagan was the co-editor, along with Thornton Page, a professor of astronomy and NASA research associate, of a very useful book for scientists intrigued by the UFO phenomenon, UFOs: A Scientific Debate. The book is the result of the proceedings of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Scientists with divergent views from different disciplines--e.g., astronomy, physics, meteorology, psychiatry, psychology,

UFO reality, are Gordon Cooper, Donald "Deke" Slayton, Edgar Mitchell, Al Worden, Eugene Cernan, and Story Musgrave. They are joined by the Soviet cosmonauts Yevegni Khrunov, Vladimir Kovalyonok, and Major General Pavel Popovich. Scientists who are aware of UFO reality include Dr. Clyde W. Tombaugh, the American astronomer who discovered Pluto; Dr. Frank B. Salisbury, professor of plant physiology at Utah State University; Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Chairman of the Dept. of Astronomy at Northwestern University and scientific consultant for Air Force UFO investigations from 1948 through 1969; Dr. Leo J. Sprinkle, professor of psychology at the University of Wyoming; Dr. James E. McDonald, Senior Physicist at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the University of Arizona; Dr. Robert M.L. Baker, Jr., President of West Coast University; Stanton T. Friedman, nuclear physicist and UFO researcher; Dr. Margaret Mead, worldrenowned anthropologist; Dr. Richard Haines, psychologist for the Ames NASA Research Center; Dr. Peter A. Sturrock, Professor of Space Science and Astrophysics and Deputy Director of the Center for Space Science and Astrophysics at Stanford University; Dr. Jacques Vallee, astrophysicist, computer scientist and UFO author; and Dr. John E. Mack, Professor of Psychiatry at The Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School. In addition to these eminent figures, equally impressive military, intelligence and political figures have come forward with information and evidence about UFO reality in Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Britain, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Zimbabwe and many other nations. Scientists can also avail themselves of the hard data about UFOs that are contained in a wide range of databases that are available to researchers. Among them are: UFOCAT--a computer catalog of raw UFO reports of sightings from around the world, started in the 1970s by Dr. David Saunders. There are over 50,000 reports from five continents. UFOCAT is maintained by the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS). GROUND TRACES--a catalog of UFO cases where plants and soil were affected is maintained by CUFOS. PILOT CASES--NASA scientist Richard Haines has a computerized catalog of UFO sightings by military, commercial, private and test pilots that has more than 3600 cases going back to the early 1980s. These are just a few of the databases that are available to scientists who want to investigate the evidence that has been collected concerning UFOs. minded scientist that UFOs are real and worthy of scientific study. Yet few scientists look at the evidence and there is no major scientific exploration of this phenomenon by mainstream science. How can this be? What are the obstacles in the way? In the 1950s, the Brookings Institute issued a report entitled, "The Implications of a Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life." The report suggested that out of all groups in society "scientists and engineers may be the most devastated by the discovery of relatively superior creatures." Is the finding that the discovery of intelligent life would be devastating to human scientists still true today? In a recent survey, 75 percent of scientists said they would like to learn more about UFOs. In 1976, Peter A. Sturrock conducted an small survey of members of the American Astronomical Society. He found that most of the respondents were curious about UFOs. However, while scientists express interest in the question of UFOs and extraterrestrial life in anonymous surveys, they still remain, in general, derisive and dismissive in their public statements about UFOs. Michael E. Zimmerman, a professor of philosophy and former Chair of the Department of Philosophy at Tulane University believes that many scientists refuse to discuss UFOs for three reasons: (1) fear of loss of social status through ridicule; (2) superior non-human intelligence threatens personal psychology and worldview; and (3) fear of social chaos in the face of ET superiority. However, Prof. Zimmerman also sees signs of change. He notes that at least some scientists are now beginning to take the UFO and the related ET-abduction phenomena seriously and to study them systematically. Zimmerman even suspects that some scientists and government officials are slowly, carefully leaking information to the public about UFO reality and ET presence to prepare the public for the revelation that extraterrestrials are visiting our planet. In the opinion of Peter A. Sturrock, the lack of public funds to support UFO research is a major obstacle in the way of significant scientific investigation. Like Prof. Zimmerman, he notes that UFO research is not considered respectable in academic and scientific circles and that this keeps people from pursuing serious work in the area. Dr. Sturrock is of the opinion that, if scientific progress is to be made in this field, public opinion must be galvanized to demand that UFO research be supported with significant funding from the Federal government. The recent study directed by Dr. Sturrock concluded that (1) the UFO phenomena is complex and not likely to be solved by one simple universal answer and (2) the scientific investigation of the unexplained observations that characterize the UFO phenomenon will most likely lead to important new knowledge. Continued on Page 17 The valuable scientific books and papers that have been published over the past 50 years, and the worldwide UFO reports made by highly credible people, cannot be glibly dismissed as errors, fraud or malicious hoaxes. As it makes its case for UFO reality, and for the extraterrestrial origin of UFOs, the briefing document presents radar evidence, visual evidence, physical evidence, descriptions of the shapes of UFOs and of their performance capabilities. All of this information can be evaluated scientifically. The document details prime examples of UFO reports made around the world from the 1950s through the mid1990s. This briefing document may be the most convincing report yet compiled suggesting that UFOs are real. It definitely makes an undeniable case for further scientific investigation into the UFO enigma and should be required scientific reading. There are many other valuable scientific books and papers that have been published over the past 50 years, all of which provide evidence that UFOs are not misidentified natural phenomena or man-made objects, the products of the minds of highly imaginative or delusional people, or the malicious hoaxes of merry pranksters around the globe. In addition to the substantial body of evidence available for scientists to review, there are many astronauts, cosmonauts, scientists and prominent government and military officials from many nations around the world who accept the reality of UFOs. This information has come from either direct public statements or from classified documents that have been released to the public. These individuals include such U.S. military, intelligence and political figures as: General Nathan D. Twining, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1957-1960); J. Edgar Hoover, Director of the FBI; General Walter Bedell Smith, Director of the CIA (1950-1953); General Douglas MacArthur; Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, Chief of project Blue Book; Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter, first Director of the CIA (1947-1950); General Curtis LeMay, Air Force Chief of Staff; Major General E.B. LeBaily, U.S. Air Force Director of Information; General George S. Brown, U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff; Lt. Col. Lawrence J. Coyne, U.S. Army Reserve helicopter pilot; Victor Marchetti, CIA official; President Harry S. Truman; President Gerald Ford; President Jimmy Carter; President Ronald Reagan; Senator Barry M. Goldwater; Representative John W. McCormack, Speaker of the House; Representative Jerry L. Pettis; Representative Steven H. Schiff. If military, intelligence and political figures do not impress scientists when it comes to UFOs, perhaps American astronauts will. Among the astronauts who have either witnessed UFOs themselves, or are aware of

Sturrock and others have observed that scientists are interested in UFOs but unwilling to become involved publicly. Scientists say "show me the evidence" but do not study the reams of evidence available. Carl Sagan has said that "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." Mainstream scientists often quote Sagan to defend their reluctance to look into the question of UFOs. However, today's scientists are like the scientists of Galileo's day who refused to look into the telescope to see the moons of Jupiter with their own eyes. What is needed? We do not need objective evidence. There is plenty of hard data about all aspects of the UFO phenomenon just begging for scientific evaluation. What is needed on the part of science today is a radical shift in its worldview, in its mindset. What can bring about this profound change, which some call a "mindshift"? Perhaps scientists will only change after encountering the UFO phenomenon directly, through a sighting of a craft in the sky, a craft on the ground with entities nearby, or even more dramatically, through a direct, personal encounter with non-human intelligences. Such an experience would most certainly transform even the most die-hard skeptic and debunker. Or perhaps scientists need to undergo the kind of transformative event that Edgar Mitchell experienced on his return voyage from the moon to the Earth, when he intuitively perceived that the universe is self-aware and that everything is interconnected. It may take more than objective, physical evidence alone to convince scientists that UFOs are real and worthy of scientific investigation. But a start has to be made somewhere. It can be made with the evidence now at hand, evidence that grows daily as UFO reports continue to come in from around the world. The data gathered by dedicated researchers over the past 50 years await a new Galileo or Newton to synthesize into a worldview that is broader and deeper than today's reigning paradigm. Too many scientists today are demanding proof, instead of doing the hard work needed to demonstrate the reality of UFOs and to uncover the incontrovertible proof of the existence of intelligent life beyond Earth. In 1956, in his last published work, Contact with Space, the pioneering scientist Wilhelm Reich wrote, "What do they want for proof? There is no proof. There are no authorities whatever. No President, Academy, Court of Law, Congress or Senate on this earth has the knowledge or power to decide what will be the knowledge of tomorrow...Only the good old rules of learning will eventually bring about understanding of what has invaded our earthly existence. Let those who are ignorant of the ways of learning stand aside, while those who know what learning is, blaze the trail into the unknown." Where are the scientists who will lead us in our search for the knowledge of tomorrow? The tools needed are at hand; the information we need is there, waiting to be discovered. The UFO phenomenon, dismissed and derided today, may prove to be the key to the lock that will open the door to our cosmic future.

McGill Prof talks UFO science
David Zuluaga Cano Science and Technology Writer The McGill Daily
“All science, regardless of what science you’re in, begins with observable phenomena,” asserted Professor Don Donderi of the Department of Psychology last Wednesday, during the second lecture of his four-piece series on unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Entitled “Evidence, Scientific Reaction, and Popular Culture,” the talk, attended by eight students, discussed the growing body of testimonials from people claiming to have seen UFOs, as well as scientific evidence supporting their existence. According to Donderi, the first widely publicized UFO sighting occured in 1947. Kenneth Arnold, a private pilot from Idaho, saw what he later described as “bright, saucer-like objects” flying in the air. Arnold tried to approach the government about the incident, but after failing to find a receptive federal agency, he turned his attention to the local press. After news of this incident was published, reports of UFO sightings became more common. The task of classifying eyewitness
accounts was first dealt with by the U.S. Air Force (USAF), beginning in the late forties. The USAF hired J. Allen Hynek, an astronomer, to consult on Project Blue Book, a systematic study of UFO sightings. Hynek proposed a classification system for the different types of reports. His system divided the accounts into categories such as Daylight Discs, Radar/Visual Reports, or Close Encounters. The Condon report, a USAF-sponsored paper published in 1969, reviewed Project Blue Book data and concluded that there was no scientific knowledge to be gained from the study of UFOs. After Condon was published, the USAF stopped all official investigations into UFOs. Other world governments, however, have shown less apathy toward the subject. In 1958, the Almirante Saldanha, a Brazilian ship, observed a strange object flying over Trindade Island, in the South Atlantic Ocean. Almiro Baraúna, a submarine photographer onboard, took pictures of the object, which were then analysed exhaustively by the Brazilian Navy’s Aerial Reconnaissance Lab, explained Donderi. “No piece of evidence, like a photograph, is worth anything at all without information about how it was taken,” said Donderi. At the behest of President Juscelino Kubitschek, the navy released an official report on the incident that included the photographic evidence. As Donderi explained, however, one of the major problems in the study of UFOs is that even if one establishes the reliability of eyewitness accounts to form empirical evidence, there are limits to what can be explained given our current understanding of the universe. Dr. Albert Bregman, Emeritus Professor from McGill Psychology, for example, remarked during the question period at the end of the lecture that UFOs defy our notions of Newtonian physics. “If [UFOs] are solid objects, they violate some fundamental physical laws such as momentum,” Bregman said. Donderi argued that the inability to explain UFO phenomena using current scientific understanding does not necessarily preclude the problem from having a solution. “Everyone talks about the speed of light being a limiting factor [in interstellar travel], but how long is it [travel to Earth] for them? It’s not about how long we live, but how long they live,” Donderi said. After the lecture, Tom Gibbs, U0 Political Science, said that he was surprised there were so many scientific considerations in the exploration of UFO sightings. “What struck me the most was that I had never considered the physics involved in a possible Earth landing. It makes me ponder the foreignness of extraterrestrial biological makeup, and our possible comparatively quaint scientific advancement,” Gibbs said.

What Is It With Our Southern Politicians?
So what is it with our Southern politicians these days? First we have South Carolina governor Mark Sanford going AWOL for a week only to be caught having an affair with some Argentinean chick -- now we've got the former mayor of Clayton, Georgia, Mark Musselwhite, arrested for public nudity! Mayor Musselwhite was found by police sitting nude at his Rabun County campsite. He told police officers he had been swimming in a nearby creek. The Republican was elected to the Gainesville City Council in 2000, where he served for six years, including a stint as mayor. He lost a bid for a state Senate seat in 2006. Now apparently he spends his time camping and stripping! (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution) Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges that divers use them as underwater navigation points. (New York Magazine)
Police probably never thought they'd see someone try to hide pot like this before. They found a casket that had nearly 100 pounds of marijuana after a traffic stop in Dallas. William Dale Crock of Cave City, Ark., was in jail Friday on a marijuana possession charge, plus traffic and seat beat violations. Dallas police say Crock was arrested Wednesday when bundles of marijuana were discovered under the casket's cover and pillow. A drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to the casket in the van.(AOL News)
Catch Me With Your Camera If You Can!
I don't think you'd leave a tip, after being a tourist in this van service. Some guys were running an unauthorized New York airport van service that took five French tourists on a high speed chase in an attempt to run from police. Police approached the van as some tourists got in. The police wanted to investigate the owners of the service for "hustling" travelers outside the Air France terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport. As the police approached, the driver drove off, ignoring pleas by the tourists to be let out. The van swerved through traffic, sped though stop signs and red lights, and traveled at speeds of 60 miles per hour on crowded residential streets. The men were also charged with assault, reckless endangerment, and resisting arrest. If convicted, they face up to seven years in prison.(Reuters)

One woman in Oregon, Karen Noyes often fed the black bears that came to her home near the Oregon coast. Then things got out of hand. One hungry bear stormed a neighbor's barn and killed 60 turkeys. Another got stuck in a doggie door. The 61-year-old Noyes was convicted of harassing wildlife and sentenced Thursday to three years probation.(MSNBC)
World's Most Expensive Casket
When police in Dallas pulled over William Dale Crock for not wearing his seatbelt, they found a much bigger problem. There was a casket in the back of his van, but a search of the casket revealed no dead bodies, but nearly 100 pounds of pot instead! A drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to the casket in the van. And just think - all this could have been avoided if he had just remembered to buckle up! (myway.com)

A Polish couple living in Germany fell out after tying the knot and decided to end their marriage on the same day. "He said he never wanted to see her again and wanted an immediate annulment, and she said the same thing," a spokesman for police in the northern city of Hanover says. Right after the civil ceremony Wednesday, the 50-year-old man began fighting with his bride and tried to cut her hair with a kitchen knife. (Reuters)

The house may be built in Lake Success, New York, but there's nothing successful about it. Authorities say the same house caught on fire two nights in a row. Both fires were deemed accidental and they appeared to be related to construction work. Fortunately no injuries were reported and while nobody was occupying the house at the time, the million dollar home had just been sold. One of the two fires caused extensive damage. (Newsday)
How Many Wallabies To Make A Crop Circle?
Wallabies snacking in Tasmania's legally grown opium poppy fields are getting "high as a kite" and hopping around in circles, trampling the crops. Their kangaroo-like marsupials' antics are hurting the state's large poppy industry. Tasmania is the world's largest producer of legally grown opium for the pharmaceutical market. How Hot Is It?
It's so hot in Clayton, Georgia, that even the former mayor is getting naked! A former Georgia mayor was busted in the buff at a Rabun County campsite. The state's Department of Natural Resources officers found him sitting nude around the campsite. The police actually had a complaint about a naked man earlier in the day. The former mayor said, he wasn't the same man though. The mayor told the officer that he had been swimming in a nearby creek.(myway.com)

Alas, it didn't go over as well as you might of expected and Schroeder lost. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)
Gentlemen, Count Your Swans!
Buckingham Palace has announced that the annual Swan Upping, a tradition dating back to the 12th century which involves a count of the swan population on the River Thames, will be conducted by the queen's official Swan Marker from July 20-24. The process involves the Swan Marker, David Barber, rowing up the Thames for five days with the Swan Warden in traditional garb while wearing special scarlet uniforms and counting, weighing and measuring swans and cygnets. It may seem eccentric, but it is very important to the queen. In medieval times, the Swan Marker would not only travel up the river counting the swans, but would catch as many as possible as they were sought-after for banquets and feasts. A Journey of Transcending Disabling Religious Beliefs
For Daniel Clark, a family man and devout member of the Watchtower Society and bringer of "The Good News" - life had lost all meaning. Disillusioned with church teachings, he decided to leave the faith, but had to find the strength to throw off the teachings programmed into him since birth and rebuild his life. In a harrowing account of growing up as a Witness in a filthy, fleainfested house, visiting his mother in a hellish mental institution, and his raw and painful path into the disabling addictions that hid his pain, Daniel shares his journey of escape and ultimate victory from an abusive childhood and the religion that held him and his entire family prisoner. I, Witness: A Journey of Transcending Disabling Religious Beliefs (new sub-title) reveals the truth about what it's like to grow up in a world where brainwashing and religious emotional and mental abuse are rampant; and explores how Clark learned to listen to his soul's yearning, and followed its direction into the Mystery of Life, and how his lessons can help others. This book is a story of hope.

The Shag Harbour UFO
The Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia, UFO of Octoiber 4, 1967
Mysteries of Canada
On the night of October 4, 1967, shortly after 11:00 PM, a UFO some 60 feet in diameter was seen to hover over the water near the tiny fishing village of Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia. The UFO, which displayed four bright lights that flashed in sequence, tilted to a 45-degree angle and descended rapidly towards the water's surface. Upon impact, there was a bright flash and an explosive roar. Concerned witnesses began calling the nearby Barrington Passage RCMP detachment. None of those witnesses mentioned anything about a UFO. Most believed that a large aircraft had ditched into the harbour and that there might be survivors. Eventually, three RCMP officers arrived at the shore near the impact site. Corporal V. Werbicki and Constable Ron O'Brien, dispatched from the Barrington Passage Detachment, were approaching from east of the site. Constable Ron Pond, who was on highway patrol on Highway #3, was heading towards Shag Harbour from a position west of the impact site, and his position allowed him to view the UFO while it was still in flight. The unusual lighting configuration and flight characteristics tipped Cst. Pond off to the unusual nature of the object long before he heard from Cpl. Werbicki, who received his information through the initial complaints to the detachment. When all three officers met at the impact site they found that the UFO was still floating on the water about a half-mile from shore. It was glowing a pale yellow and was leaving a trail of dense yellow foam as it drifted in the ebb tide. Neither the Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax nor the nearby NORAD radar facility at Baccaro, Nova Scotia, had any knowledge of missing aircraft, either civilian or military. Cst. Pond reported that the object had "changed" during its descent to the water's surface, i.e., it changed shape, and that it appeared to be "no known object." Later, other local witnesses described much the same details as those of Cst. Pond. Also, a coast guard lifeboat from nearby Clark's Harbour and several local fishing boats were summoned to investigate, but the UFO had submerged before they reached the site. The sulfurous-smelling yellow foam continued to well to the surface from the point where the UFO went down, and a 120 by 300 foot slick developed. Search efforts continued until 3:00 AM and then resumed at first light the next day. Everybody involved was convinced that "something" -- that is, something real and unidentified -- had gone into the water. The next morning a preliminary report was sent to Canadian Forces Headquarters in Ottawa. After communicating with NORAD, Maritime Command was asked to conduct an underwater search ASAP for the object responsible for the concern in Shag Harbour. Seven navy divers from the HMCS Granby searched throughout the daylight hours until sundown of 08 October 1967. On Monday, 09 October 1967, Maritime Command canceled the search effort claiming "nil results." Outside of the local area, media attention quickly faded. The Shag Harbour crash/retrieval became Case #34 in the infamous Condon Committee Report which would serve as Project Blue Book's swan song. The case was brought to Dr. Condon's limited attention by the late Jim Lorenzen of the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO). Dr. Levine, the investigator assigned to the case, allocated the grand total of two long distance phone calls to this investigation. One call was to the Watch Officer at Maritime Command and the other was to an RCMP spokesperson. Dr. Levine was assured that there was nothing to the case and that further investigation was futile. Thus, interest in the Shag Harbour case withered away... until 1993.
interesting by government documents, comic book illustrations, the usual jazz about coverups and interviews with folks who prefer to have their voices altered and to be filmed in silhouette. Of course no one knows what really happened in Shag Harbour, but speculation abounds, particularly since the event occured at the height of the Cold War and the fact that nearby CFS Shelburne was a top-secret submarine detection base. There's something to make every conspiracy theorist happy. MacDonald and producer Johanna Eliot have done a nice job in touching all the mysterious bases, while presenting the information in a visually interesting fashion. It truly is a story that will not die.
Truth Is Still Out There In Shag Harbour
By Pat Lee The Halifax Herald Limited
On Oct. 4, 1967 many Nova Scotians saw something strange flying through the sky with flashing lights. The mysterious object plunged into the water off Shag Harbour, leading fishermen and the RCMP to rush out in a frantic attempt to find survivors. But by the time boats arrived on the scene, all that was found was a mysterious yellow foam that smelled like burned sulphur, although a dark object was later spotted moving out to sea. (Insert Twilight Zone music here.) Some 33 years later the Shag Harbour UFO story continues to fascinate believers and skeptics alike, mainly because of the number of credible eyewitness accounts and the official documentation that has been unearthed. So it's not surprising that the story has lived on in books and most recently has become the subject of a documentary by local filmmaker Michael MacDonald. Airing Sunday at 5 p.m. on cable's Space: The Imagination Station, the hour-long The Shag Harbour UFO Story brings together eyewitnesses and pieces together the X-Files tale, which started that October night when those mysterious lights were seen around the province. Among those who spotted the odd sight from Dartmouth was then 12-year-old Chris Styles, who subsequently heard the same story from his grandfather who lived in Shag Harbour. "I literally felt cold inside," Styles says of seeing the glowing object that night. Also interviewed in the film is Don Ledger, who has written extensively about the case with Styles. The pair's research provided the framework for MacDonald's film, produced by Halifax-based Ocean Entertainment. Also providing input on the incident is local fisherman Laurie Wickens, who also saw the strange lights that night, along with fisherman Lawrence Smith. Adding to the intrigue is a photograph taken by Wilber Eisnor, which shows coloured lights glowing in the sky. All fascinating stuff, made all the more

U.F.O. Sightings and Encounters July 19, 1952 Washington, D.C.
In early July, 1952, Edward J. Ruppelt, then head of the Air Force's official Project Blue Book, was in conference with a scientist from a government intelligence agency that Ruppelt was not at liberty to name. "Within the next few days," he told Ruppelt, "You're going to have the granddaddy of all UFO sightings... in Washington or New York. Probably Washington." The "Washington sightings"--a series of UFO encounters that quickly became the most publicized ever and included flights by unknown objects over the White House and the Capitol--started at 11:40 P.M. on July 19, when the radar screens at National Airport picked up eight UFOs flying in formation southwest of Andrews Air Force Base. The blips would cruise along at a little over 100 mph and then shoot off the screen at extremely high speeds. The radar at Andrews also began to track the objects. All airliners in the area at the time were put on alert for the objects, and several reported sightings. Capt. S.C. "Casey" Pierman, at the controls of Capital Airlines Flight 807, made visual contact with seven UFOs, the same ones
that were being simultaneously tracked on radar. "They were about the same size as the brightest stars," Pierman said, "and they were much higher than our 6,000-ft. altitude." Some of the UFOs were in horizontal flight, others were seen diving at an angle of 25 deg. at high speeds. Captain Pierman maintained visual contact for approximately 12 minutes, and then the objects shot suddenly out of sight. Just before dawn the radar indicated that an object was hovering directly over Andrews Air Force Base. When tower personnel looked up, they saw what they described as a "huge fiery orange sphere" directly above them. The Air Force sent an F-94 jet into the air about dawn to investigate, but by this time the UFOs had disappeared from radar and were nowhere to be seen. A week later the UFOs returned. On July 26 the Air Force launched several jet fighters in an effort to intercept a new rash of radar blips. One of the pilots did make visual contact and pushed his jet to its top speed, trying to close in on the object. The UFO shot out of sight at an incredible speed, leaving the Air Force jet far behind. As suddenly as they had begun, the "Washington sightings" stopped.

(Reuters)

Douglas James Cottrell
Douglas James Cottrell www. douglasjamescottrell. com
Douglas is best known as a trance clairvoyant (or psychic). He is also an intuitive healer, teacher and published author. His Deep Trance Meditation (DTM) style is often compared to that of Edgar Cayce. In 2003 Douglas dictated a book from the trance state, which was published the following year as Secrets of Life. He has been variously called a mystic, seer, prophet, "The Man With the X-ray Eyes," and "Canada's Edgar Cayce." He and his wife, Karen, live in London, Ontario, Canada. They have four children: Cheri-Anne, Douglas, Louise, and Jason. Cheri-Anne passed away January 27, 2006 at the age of 38.
Douglas's Early Years
On the surface, Douglas James Cottrell appears to be an ordinary, uncomplicated, goodnatured and friendly family man. He enjoys the simple things of life: driving in the countryside, grooming horses, walking the dogs or playing hockey with his friends. He and his wife, Karen, have been happily married since 1968. They live in an average, quiet, suburban neighborhood in Canada. To the casual observer, he is an unremarkable man. But as the saying goes, still waters run deep. For beneath the plain and ordinary surface lies an intuitive ability so powerful and accurate that it staggers the imagination and challenges our very notion of what it is to be human. Douglas was born in Toronto, Canada in December 1949 to Thomas and Elinor Cottrell, an average, not overly religious working-class couple who struggled to make ends meet. The eldest of four children, Douglas split his youth between work at the family wood-yard and football games at Central Technical High School. In 1965 he fell in love with Karen Paquet, and they were married in February of 1968. Douglas had taken a job as an apprentice, and was soon working as a full-fledged pressman for the nation's largest daily newspaper, the Toronto Star. In July of 1968, Douglas and Karen became parents and their lives were forever changed. The birth of a child, especially the first child, should be a blessed event. But for the young couple, the arrival of daughter Cheri-Anne was little short of traumatic. Delivered weeks overdue, CheriAnne collapsed shortly after being born. She was resuscitated by medical staff several times. Over the weeks and months that followed, Cheri-Anne was in and out of hospitals. She was prone to convulsions. Doctors put her on medications to sedate her. By age two and a half, Cheri-Anne was diagnosed as severely mentally and physically retarded. Douglas and Karen finally acquiesced to the medical advice to place her into an institution, resigned to the medical opinion that she had only a few months to live and that nothing could be done. Douglas and Karen refused to give up
hope for Cheri-Anne, however, and they continued to pray to God that their daughter's life could be saved. Little did they know that their prayers were about to be answered, but in a most unusual way. In 1975, a co-worker at the Toronto Star daily newspaper, where Douglas worked as a pressman, gave Douglas a book about Edgar Cayce, an American deep trance psychic from the 1930s, known mainly for his so-called health "readings". Douglas was a skeptic, and although he was highly critical of tea-cup readers, palmists, and tarot card readers, he found Cayce's ability to be credible. Fascinated with the information contained in the Cayce material, Douglas began to wonder what information could be revealed about his daughter, were Cayce still alive. While he was working in his basement, Douglas had a strong urging to leave what he was doing, go upstairs and turn on the television. As he did, the screen filled with the image of a man who appeared to be talking in his sleep. He was describing in great detail the health problems of someone else, and - more importantly - he was explaining what was to be done to remedy them. The program in progress was "World of the Unexplained" with Allen Spraggett, a paranormal researcher. Spraggett's guest was Ross Peterson, a medical intuitive from the United States who demonstrated Cayce-like clairvoyant abilities in trance. At that moment, Douglas knew there was hope for his daughter, and he and Karen determined that they had to see this man. Now, Douglas, being a pragmatic, down-to-earth, "blue-collar" type of man, had always been skeptical and dismissive of psychics. Karen's staunch Catholic upbringing had taught her that fortune telling was sinister and false. Needless to say, their optimism was tempered with fear about meeting Peterson. The young couple eventually arranged to meet with Peterson in Toronto. As they approached his hotel room, they did not know what to expect, and they were extremely anxious and apprehensive. Their fears were soon laid to rest, however. Even though Cheri-Anne was hundreds of kilometers away in the Plainfield Children's Home in Belleville, Ontario,
Peterson was able to discuss her condition as if reading her medical chart. For the first time in seven years, someone was able to intelligently articulate how Cheri-Anne came to develop in the way that she did. Moreover, Peterson was able to explain what steps could be taken in order to bring Cheri-Anne back to health. The accuracy and amount of detail he provided was mind-blowing. Peterson recommended natural treatments that were foreign to Douglas and Karen, such as chiropractic and massage. He also suggested various foods and herbs to be given to Cheri-Anne that would act as medicine for her traumatized body. Peterson's recommendations saved Cheri-Anne's life and opened Douglas and Karen's minds to a larger world. He had revealed to Douglas that he had an aptitude for deep meditation as well, and he encouraged him to explore his own intuitive abilities. "I have to find out if I can do this too," Douglas said. "If only one child is helped, it will be worth it!" HOW DOUGLAS DEVELOPED HIS INTUITION Inspired by what he had experienced first-hand with a genuine intuitive, a young Douglas began to study everything he could on the subject. He felt as if the blinders had been removed and wanted to know as much as he could about the unseen spiritual world. He began to learn in earnest about the chakras, the aura, energy healing, and, of course, meditation. The more he investigated this unseen world, more and more teachers, guides, and gurus came into his life to assist him in his development. Douglas began to study religious texts from the world's major traditions. His quest took him to places all over the world, including Ross Peterson's school in Michigan. Continued on Page 29

Aided by his family doctor and his chiropractor, Douglas began conducting experiments in deep trance meditation and remote viewing. At first the images he saw in meditation were fuzzy, but the more he practised, the clearer the information became. The medical doctor and chiropractor were able to provide Douglas with the verification that what he was seeing were not just figments of his imagination. As Douglas's confidence and trust in this ability grew, he was able to relax further and deeper, letting go of his ego and entering deeper and deeper levels of consciousness. In time, these experiments began involving more and more subjects, who returned with their friends and relatives. The local press also took notice and began publishing articles about Douglas and his ability. But as his reputation grew, so did the demand for his time. Self-described followers of Edgar Cayce came to test Douglas's ability. What had started as investigations into health problems had evolved into readings of past lives, contacting deceased relatives, locating lost persons. Some came with racing forms and treaure maps. December 7, 1977 was the fateful day that Douglas resigned his very secure position with the Toronto Daily Star (Canada's largest newspaper) to devote his time to giving Deep Trance Meditation consultations to the public. He was doing four hour-long meditations a day, seven days a week. After a number of years continuing in this way, Douglas has a vision in which Edgar Cayce came to him to correct him about this sin of overworking. In an effort to deter people from coming, Douglas began to charge more for his consultations, but it had the reverse effect. Interestingly, the "caliber" of clientele changed, and Douglas began seeing more serious-minded clients for his invaluable services. Since 1975, Douglas has given an estimated 24,000 such consultations (or "readings"), all of which have been recorded on audio cassette (from 2004 onward, the DTM consultations have been recorded digitally). His clients include people all over the world, from literally all walks of life, backgrounds, social castes, and spiritual faiths. Throughout his career, Douglas has continued in his quest toward enlightenment and spiritual development. His mystical studies have taken him to schools, churches, temples, ashrams and sacred sites in Europe and India and throughout North America. He has studied with the Freemasons as well as the Rosicrucians. He has not led an easy life, however, and Douglas has faced financial hardship and abuses at the hands of those who strive to taint his reputation. He constantly struggles against bias and prejudice for his spiritual beliefs, not to mention those who find the claims of his intuitive ability to be too amazing to be believable. Douglas passes on the wisdom he has learned about the spiritual world in his latest book, Secrets of Life. He has also created a course in meditation through a series of CDs. These are available at Douglas's public appearances (seminars, lectures, book-signings) as well as from Douglas's Online Store. DOUGLAS'S CLAIRVOYANT ABILITY: Deep Trance Meditation He stretches out in a reclining chair, closes his eyes and begins to breathe deeply. Within minutes, Douglas has entered the state of Deep Trance Meditation (DTM). It is as if his conscious mind has moved out of the way, fading into the shadows and allowing his contemplative mind (or what may also be called the Soul Mind) to come forward. The contemplative mind is the consciousness of the immortal human soul. Unlike the rational mind (or the Personality Mind), the contemplative mind is not bound by the physical restraints of time and space. As part of the universal consciousness of mankind, it sees all, knows all, and understands all. Where the rational mind is finite, the contemplative mind is infinite. Communication between the rational mind and the contemplative mind takes place when the rational mind is receptive (i.e. during dream states or during hypnotic or meditative states of consciousness). When the body is excited, agitated or stressed, it demonstrates the ability of seemingly superhuman physical strength and speed. Similarly, when the body is profoundly relaxed, the mind becomes capable of seemingly superhuman mental feats: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, precognition, premonition, and prophecy. As its name implies, Deep Trance Meditation (DTM) is a very deep, trance-like state of meditation, a state some have described as the twilight state between consciousness and sleep (what some might define as self-hypnosis). In this altered state of consciousness, Douglas's respiration and heart rate are slowed, his blood pressure is lowered, and his brain activity changes (a condition medically referred to as "theta level"). The ability to consciously relax his body and become emotionally detached from the physical, sensual world is something Douglas learned to do. He believes that, to varying degrees, this is an ability that everyone can learn to express as well. Most everyone, he says, has experienced some degree of intuitive or spiritual phenomena in their own lives (i.e. premonitions, déjà vu, visions, gut feelings, prophetic dreams, etc.). Yet there are people who are so amazed and awestruck at the mental ability that Douglas exemplifies that they simply cannot believe it. The degree of accuracy and amount of detailed information Douglas demonstrates during a DTM session just seems impossible. Consider the following example from a DTM session: "Beginning in the uppermost portions of the body, there is in the neck both severe compression and mild rotation, approximating an S-curve, affecting the 7th, 6th, and 3rd cervical vertebrae as well as the Atlas-Axis. The head is sitting crooked on the neck. Blood flow to the upper areas of the cranium is somewhat restricted, causing mild oxygen starvation. Brain activity is generally sluggish, especially affecting the reflex areas and motor skills centers. Vision is deteriorating noticeably in the left eye and painful sensitivity to bright light is also developing. Some hair loss as well, affecting predominantly the scalp area to the front and to the right side. Nasal passages are clear and the tissue forming the lining is healthy.
Gums and teeth are normal. Moving now to the chest cavity...." It is as if Douglas is able to project his mind out of his body, across space to scan a patient and report back his findings something he does with uncanny accuracy and great skill. DOUGLAS'S MIRACLE HEALING ABILITY: Transforming Matter with Thought After witnessing progress in their daughter, Cheri-Anne's health, through alternative therapies, such as massage and chiropractic, Douglas and Karen began to investigate other unorthodox forms of healing. They decided to remain open to all modalities and all kinds of healing, regardless of how esoteric it may seem. In the early 1970s, Douglas and Karen had befriended Anglican minister Rev. Alex Holmes, who resided in Michigan. Not only was Rev Holmes a practicing minister, he was also a practitioner of an ancient type of spiritual healing called the Laying On Of Hands. Douglas and Karen began holding weekly sessions in their home with Rev Homes laying hands on Cheri-Anne, and their friends and loved ones as well. Fascinated with this type of healing, Douglas asked if he could learn this ability too. Rev Holmes offered Douglas the advice that "even the mightiest river begins with a single trickle, so go slowly." He graciously taught Douglas the secrets of the method, saying that in time he would be able to handle the energy that would go through him without harm. Slowly and over some time, Douglas learned how to cultivate and build up the energy, and to sense it flowing from his fingertips. He first practiced laying on of hands on the plants around the house, and then on the fish tank. To his delight, he was soon seeing the results of his experiments: the plants were responding to the energy, and the vitality and activity of the fish had noticeably improved. As his confidence in his new-found ability grew, Douglas began demonstrating spiritual healing on his friends and loved ones. On one occasion, he laid hands on a man's head and his migraine instantly disappeared. On another occasion, he laid hands on a woman and the cyst on her neck instantly vanished. Douglas had the evidence he needed to show him that what he was doing was genuine. Douglas and Karen's experience with Rev Holmes opened them to other faith healers. They took Cheri-Anne to see a faith-healer from Philadelphia named Kathryn Kuhlman, of whom Douglas had heard through a mutual acquaintance. Kuhlman was said to have miraculous healing ability, and she toured North America holding "miracle services," gathering together hundreds of people in large auditoriums. When Douglas and Karen attended one such event, Cheri-Anne responded very well to the loving energy. They took her to the events several times, witnessing people receiving genuinely miraculous healings. At one gathering, Kuhlman looked into the audience and pronounced that God had promised her that in the future someone would replace her and carry on her work. Douglas had a calm sensation come over him, accompanied with the impression that he might be the replacement. Continued on Page 31

Along with giving DTM consultations, Douglas was soon offering spiritual healing with the Laying on of Hands method to an everincreasing clientele. Over the years, he saw a number of dramatic examples of spontaneous and lasting healing: a woman with arthritis of the spine became able to bend over and touch her toes; a man with chronic hip and leg pain (who walked with the aid of a cane) immediately had his pain removed. For years the man wrote to Douglas on the anniversary of his healing to report that the pain had not returned "yet." Over the years, and without any promotion, Douglas continued to offer Laying on of Hands healing to those who requested relief from pain and hardship: mental, physical or spiritual. He even learned to send longdistance healing to those who could not be present. Trusting in the words of his mentor, Rev Holmes, Douglas always believed that he would never be given more than he could handle. He prayed for his healing ability to be made stronger and more effective. In 2003 Douglas was approached by some friends who wanted him to conduct some healing events in large public venues, similar to those Kathryn Kuhlman had done. Many years ago, Douglas had a vision of himself dressed in black, coming up the aisle of a church, out of the congregation, and standing in the pulpit. When a small church in London, Ontario expressed an interest in having Douglas perform Laying on of Hands to the congregation, Douglas was encouraged that his vision was about to come true. A short while later, Douglas was then given another vision. The Virgin Mary appeared to him in a dream to encourage him. She showed him a number of Laying on of Hands techniques which she said would allow him to perform miracles. In January of 2004 Douglas held his first Miracle Transformation Event™ at Unity Church in London, Ontario. The event included a short lecture on prayer and the law of manifestation, the singing of some hymns, and a group meditation. Then Douglas invited people from the audience to come forward to receive healing energy. Unlike the many Laying on of Hands healings he had done before, this time the energy was profound. Many members of the congregation felt as though the air was charged with electricity. As much to Douglas's surprise as those in attendance, when the energy came upon the people, they collapsed onto the floor. Douglas's friends were on hand to assist with "catching" them and easing them to the floor. At that moment, Douglas's healing ability had greatly changed. Thus began Douglas's work as an intuitive healer. Within months, he had assembled a team of volunteers, and they began taking these miracle healing events out to other venues and other cities. Time and again, this same phenomenon of people falling and swooning under the energy has been repeated hundreds - if not thousands - of times. Those who have experienced the energy have described the sensation that comes over them in many ways: as heat or cold; others feel a tingling or buzzing; some feel pressure while others feel an electric shock or a jolt. Some people weep; some laugh. Some feel dizzy, and weak in the knees; some feel as though they momentarily lose consciousness. Many report feeling overcome with a profound and sustainable feeling of love, peace, and happiness. While still conscious, Douglas does enter a slightly altered state of consciousness though not as deep as the state of meditation he enters during a DTM session. As he prepares to channel the energy into a person requesting a healing, his aura expands, as does his awareness. His vibration changes to one of unconditional love. He becomes acutely aware of what is going on all around him. He looks into a person and sees the body healing. He says things to them from a point of inner knowing things that relate to their lives and conditions. Those who have been to his Miracle Transformation Events™ have seen that Douglas's hand begins to shake as the energy builds. When he is ready, he directs this life force energy through the body's energy points or chakras - primarily at the solar plexus, heart, and crown - giving an infusion of energy, which would appear to affect the nervous system, and the circulation of chi energy along the meridians. Douglas and his volunteers have witnessed many dramatic healings: a deaf man regaining his hearing; a mute woman regaining her capacity for speech; a man with Parkinson's Disease-like tremors having them disappear; a woman with a prolapsed uterus having her organs move; a man with MS being relieved of his symptoms. An Ontario newspaper reported that a woman had a lump on her neck disappear overnight after receiving a healing from Douglas. Douglas takes no credit for the miraculous, spontaneous healings that occur; he believes he is merely a conduit for God's creative healing energy. The most important healing occurs on the spiritual level. Feeling the energy enter one's body can be a truly profound experience, but the degree of healing that one receives is between that person and God Almighty. As Douglas has said in many DTM sessions, emotions are both the creative and destructive forces in a body. As all illness is an end result of disharmony, misguided thoughts, or conditions held in the mind, it is to the mind that Douglas first appeals for healing. When Douglas focuses his mind in prayer and asks for relief on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels, he believes the energy goes into the body of the afflicted person, where it is multiplied and amplified as the mind of that person chooses. It may move to the physical body to relieve pain or tension, relax a muscle, or adjust a bone. It may move to the emotions and chase away fears, grief, self-pity and depression. Or it may go deep within and touch upon the great spirit itself. When this happens however briefly - Douglas believes the recipient of the healing energy touches upon the part of him or her that is connected to God: the high self or contemplative mind. It first sets aside the ego or rational mind, so that the person can let down his or her guard and be open to God Almighty's grace. In doing so, it may cause the person to lose consciousness for a brief moment of time. Some have remarked that those who lay seeingly unconscious after a healing have rapid
eye movement (REM) similar to Douglas in the DTM state. Only when the rational mind is quieted (during states of meditation, or sleep) is the contemplative mind allowed to move forward. Douglas believes this is why some people gasp and respond so dramatically to the healing energy at his miracle healing events - or even fall down and lay on the floor seemingly losing consciousness. The contemplative mind is so powerful it can make instant, permanent changes to a physical body at the cellular level, or even at the atomic level. Where Fact Is Fiction & Fiction is Reality APOCALYPSE
A Quest for True Human Beings
A routine, scientific search for the American Sasquatch leads Robert Morgan to some of the most secret knowledge of Native American tribes across the United States, as well as encounters with the last of the legendary men of the Old West, and unexplained mysterious lights in the night sky. Along this fascinating ride, the reader also learns what fuels this man s search for the elusive Forest People. For this reader, this was the most fascinating tale of all. Seeking to refute the Judeo-Christian view of man being created in the image of God, Morgan researches the tales of Sasquatch, reasoning that if he can provide good evidence of its existence, humanity will have to make room in its family tree for one more relative, and revise its view that Homo Sapiens is the only being that possesses a soul and therefore is the supreme being on this planet... All in all, a fascinating read on several levels. I recommend it. --Val Smith - past President Authors of the Flathead

Real Dreams Predicting Your Tomorrow?
THE POWER OF THE STARS: How they move us humans!Dita Wegman, a longtime searcher of the Truth who has diligently studied and experienced Nostradamus’ knowledge concerning the power of the stars, came into the possession of the prophet’s only dream book in a mysterious manner. This edition of Nostradamus’ DREAM BOOK (1928) was the last one in existence. Dita spent many decades, not only studying the tools Nostradamus revealed to predict individual’s futures, but consistently, throughout her lifetime, has experienced their truthfulness. According to Nostradamus (and modern Science), radiation holds the Universe together and causes every object to radiate in its own characteristic way. Our established Zodiac is proof, confirming that each individual born under one of the 12 astrological signs reflects certain characteristics radiating from the planets that conform to each sign of the zodiac. Four hundred fifty years ago, Nostradamus, who was a medical doctor and master in astronomy/astrology (called 'divine' by contemporary scholars), understood the truth behind the meaningful power radiation of the stars. He saw the interconnectedness, how the stars influence human organisms, and how it affects our sleep and dreams.
He walked the earth 500 years ago and is still known in every corner of the globe. His fame has only increased, since his accuracy in predicting future events continues to fascinate us today, as it has for centuries. Should we not ask ourselves from where he drew such knowledge - a knowledge of events hundreds of years before they took, are taking, and will take place? Is it possible that he was privileged and perhaps chosen to provide mankind with the insight of this knowledge - of what to expect in the future? Could it be, that the pattern of events is predetermined by ‘Divine Power’ - according to the constant activity of the Universal Laws, also known as "Natures Law" in action, recognizable as a "a consequence" of our own volition (according to one of a fundemental law, known as 'cause and effect'.) Therefore, through our own actions taken, we are not only shaping our individual destiny, but also the destiny of our Nation and The World! Nostradamus, the great astronomer and astrologer, medical doctor and greatest seer, found and recognized the interconnectedness of the meaningful light- radiation through the celestial bodies, which influences, shapes and guides life on earth. www.nostradamusdreams.com
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
From her earliest youth, then still living in Europe, Dita Wegman was drawn to the name " Nostradamus " like a magnet. His name resonate with a kind of mysteriousness, especially when she gazed in awe at the Universe with those millions of sparkling lights, searching at the night sky for star-images, find them and proudly could call them by name, she felt even more drawn to the great Astronomer, not knowing 'why'? One day , as it so happen, a Lady friend of hers introduced her to her "German Edition of Nostradamus' Dream-Book " Dita was fascinated with the book then as she is today, and was saddened to learn that it was no longer available in print. About 20 years later, already residing in Canada, and while on a trip to Germany, Dita had not forgotten her desire to posses this book. After Dita tracked down her friends family and got the news by her son, of her passing, sadness set in and her chance to see this book again, slipped away. But Dita had to ask, if he would know about the existence of the Nostradamus book ? Spontaneously he answered, "Wait here" while he retrieved it from the attic. In disbelieve and almost numb Dita heard him say :"Here it is - take it... I know mother would have given this to you because she liked you very much and knew how desperately you wanted it for yourself."The rest is history.

The Day the Towers Fell
by Maureen Crethan Santora Illustrated by Patricia Santora Cardona It will be a day that will never be forgotten... A touching remembrance of 9/11, The Day The Towers Fell is a mother's poignant tribute to her firefighter son who, along with many heroic and brave comrades, died on that fateful day. Christopher Santora was a dutiful young man, and Maureen Santora's only son, who joined the New York Fire Academy and became a firefighter in January 2001. He would die a hero months later on September 11, 2001. So that the world would never forget, Maureen wrote a book - a colorfully illustrated picture book with artwork by her daughter Patricia - to recall the events of 9/11. First, it describes and shows the everyday scenes before the tragedy took place. It was the first day of school, after all, and some people were late for office - which may have helped save their lives. Then there are the not-so-ordinary scenes during and after the attacks, the planes crashing into the towers, and the panic and terror that were sown on the city's inhabitants. But it also recounts how regular citizens became heroes in their city's time of need, and highlights how goodness and decency will always be there to fight evil and hatred. More than just a book, The Day the Towers Fell is a memorial - to those who died and those who willingly gave up their lives to save as many as they could. And while they may be no longer with us, they are always with us in our hearts - forever remembered.

By Samuel D Orez
In 1897 Alexander Hamilton, of Yates Center, Kansas, came out of his house to discover a cigar shaped UFO was hovering over his farm. Humanoids in the ship had a rope around one of Hamilton's calves and were trying to winch it aboard. This story appeared in the Yates Center local newspaper along with statements from leading citizens vouching for Hamilton's honesty. For almost a hundred years it was considered one of the best documented UFO cases on the books. The only problem with it was that it was a hoax. Hamilton, along with the other "leading citizens," were part of a local liar's club and regularly practiced out doing each other with tale tales. Hamilton's cigar airship story was so good that it was put in the newspaper as a joke. The members of the club had no idea at the time just how effective this lie would be at fooling thousands of people around the world. It was only in 1977 when Jerry Clark, in FATE magazine, published the results of Robert Schadewald's work on the "calfnapping" story, that the truth came out. Objects as mundane as a dry cleaner bags, balsa wood and birthday candles can be used to perpetrate a hoax. Many people have been fooled by balloons constructed by these simple materials. The candle provides the hot air needed to lift the balloon as well as an eerie glowing light that floats through the air, fooling the unwary. Teenagers in Oneonta, New York, mystified residents with this prank. Unfortunately these devices can have more serious consequences than inspiring a false UFO report. The flame, after a crash landing, may start a fire. Though only a tiny minority of UFO reports turn out to be hoaxes they challenge the credibility of all sightings. They can also call into question the professionalism of UFO enthusiast organizations. A number of years ago English physicist David Simpson decided to see how effective UFO investigators would be a spotting a hoax. While a group of UFO spotters were on a neighboring hill he used a purple light, a horn and bogus faked photographs to generate a "close encounter of the first kind." The hoax was not detected at all and the photographs declared to be, "genuine beyond all doubt." Though there are reputable UFO organizations that do their best to screen out false reports it is not always an easy job. Even when an organization suspects a hoax they may be reluctant to say so unless they are absolutely sure. In theory a libel lawsuit could be filed and the accusers must be prepared to prove their case. One of the most well known hoaxes involved with the "Hudson Valley Sightings." Between 1983 and 1987 thousands of people along New York's Hudson Valley witnessed a boomerang-shaped UFO estimated to be between 200 and 1000 feet from tip to tip. The ship was marked at regular intervals by multicolored blinking lights. A group of UFO investigators found that at least some of the incidents could be traced to a spoof perpetrated
by the "Stormville Flyers," a group of small plane pilots. By attaching multi-colored lights on to their planes and flying in formation they could give the impression of a huge UFO sailing majestically across the sky. By turning off their lights on cue they could make the ship mysteriously disappear. Although this hoax did not explain all the sightings over the years in the Hudson Valley it did explain a percentage of the cases. Some skeptics believe certain categories of items are almost all hoaxs. This includes things like the English crop circles and just about every "flying saucer" pictures ever taken. As time goes on it may become more and more difficult to detect hoax photographs. In the past faked photographs were subject to careful analysis that might spot problem in the picture: a hidden string holding up a flying saucer, or evidence like a shadow that would show the picture was not taken at the time of the day claimed. More and more though sophisticated computerized image processing is available even in people's home. This makes it easier and easier to create a seamless fake photograph. Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena. While there have been many unsubstantiated rumors of other U.S. Presidents having close encounters with UFOs, none of these have ever been confirmed or officially reported.
PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN SEES A UFO
PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER’S UFO SIGHTING
One night in 1974, from a Cessna Citation aircraft, one of America's most famous citizens saw a UFO. There were four persons aboard the plane: pilot Bill Paynter, two security guards, and the governor of California, Ronald Reagan. As the airplane approached Bakersfield, California, the passengers called Paynter's attention to a strange object to their rear. "It appeared to be several hundred yards away," Paynter recalled. "It was a fairly steady light until it began to accelerate. Then it appeared to elongate. Then the light took off. It went up at a 45-degree angle-at a high rate of speed. Everyone on the plane was surprised. . . . The UFO went from a normal cruise speed to a fantastic speed instantly. If you give an airplane power, it will accelerate-but not like a hot rod, and that's what this was like." A week later Reagan recounted the sighting to Norman C. Miller, then Washington bureau chief for the Wall Street Journal. Reagan told Miller, "We followed it for several minutes. It was a bright white light. We followed it to Bakersfield, and all of a sudden to our utter amazement it went straight up into the heavens." When Miller expressed some doubt, a "look of horror came over [Reagan]. It suddenly dawned on him . . . that he was talking to a reporter." Immediately afterward, according to Miller, Reagan "clammed up." Reagan has not discussed the incident publicly since
In October (some sources say January) 1969, Jimmy Carter observed a UFO in the skies near Leary in southwestern Georgia. This unidentified flying object, which appeared just after dusk, was a single luminous object about 30 degrees above the horizon that Carter estimated to be about 300 to 1000 yards away. Carter and about a dozen other men watched the object for about 10 to 12 minutes as it hovered, changed course several times, and eventually disappeared in the distance. During his 1976 Presidential campaign, Carter told reporters: "It was the darndest thing I've ever seen. It was big, it was very bright, it changed colors, and it was about the size of the moon. We watched it for ten minutes, but none of us could figure out what it was. One thing's for sure, I'll never make fun of people who say they've seen unidentified objects in the sky. If I become President, I'll make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and the scientists." Carter even filed an official report of the incident with NICAP, the National

The Famous and UFOs
come clean about having seen a UFO. After all, it could damage their credibility. But, interestingly, quite a few have admitted it, including some prominent ones. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter says he saw a UFO while he was the Governor of Virginia. For about ten minutes, he and a group of others watched some weird lights in the sky that seemed to approach them then recede. Carter mentioned the sighting a few times on the campaign trail, and when he was sent a UFO sighting report by a research organisation, agreed to fill it out. While campaigning to become President, Carter promised to reveal all the U.S. government’s UFO secrets if he was elected. He was; but no secrets emerged. Carter’s successor in the White House, Ronald Reagan, also allegedly saw a UFO while he was the Governor of California. Reagan was travelling in a small plane when he noticed a strange light which seemed to be following the aircraft. The light accelerated a little ahead and, at Reagan’s suggestion, his plane pursued it for a few minutes before it zoomed away vertically at tremendous speed. Reagan developed an obsession with extra-terrestrials and mentioned them frequently in his speeches. Once, in a speech to the UN, he even said that the United States and the Soviet Union might be forced to make common cause if Earth faced an extra-terrestrial invasion. As should now be clear, people from all walks of life, from drug-addled rock musicians to sombre politicians, claim to have seen mysterious objects in the sky. Some even developed a private obsession with ETs which, for the most part, was completely unknown to the general public.
Famous People Who Have Seen UFOs
By Paul Petersen
You’d be amazed at how many famous people claim to have seen a UFO. Below we present just a small sample.
Actors Who Have Seen UFOs
Very appropriately there are stories that William Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk in the television series Star Trek, may have seen a UFO and perhaps even have been abducted by its occupants. Author Dennis William Hauck wrote an unauthorised and somewhat critical biography of Shatner, called Captain Quirk, in which he portrayed Shatner as an arrogant and unpleasant individual, disliked by his fellow members of the Star Trek cast. Hauck believes that Shatner had a life-changing experience, however, when he was abducted by aliens in the Mojave desert. Shatner was supposedly riding his motorcycle with some friends through the desert but somehow got separated from them. His bike broke down, and he walked for miles to find a petrol station. When he found one, he noticed that there was a flying saucer hovering over it. Then things started to get hazy and the good captain may have been taken aboard. Hauck believes Shatner learnt some humility from the encounter, and became a better person as a result. Intriguingly, shortly after the incident is supposed to have taken place, Shatner released an album titled The Transformed Man. It consists mainly of cover songs - though songs is perhaps not the right word, because Shatner tends to intone rather than sing – with a distinct “spacey” theme. Hauck claims the release of the album was a covert message Shatner was sending to the aliens, and the message was “Lesson Learned.” Comic legend Dan Aykroyd - of Ghostbusters fame – is fascinated by UFOs. He once hosted a television programme devoted to it and is known to support UFO research organisations such as MUFON (www.mufon.com). In the DVD Dan Aykroyd Unplugged, he speaks quite candidly about his views on the subject. Although he doesn’t claim to have seen a UFO himself, he thinks he may have spotted some Men in Black once, while on the phone to Britney Spears! Another actor and comedian who had some ET experiences was Jackie Gleason – you may know him as the Sheriff in the Smokey and the Bandit films, or as the master pool-player Minnesota Fats in the Paul Newman classic The Hustler. Gleason was a good friend of U.S. President Richard Nixon and, one day, while the two were playing golf together, the subject of UFOs came up. Nixon said little at the time but, later that day; he took Gleason with him on a special visit to Homestead Air Force Base. There, Gleason allegedly witnessed dead extraterrestrials. Gleason’s wife told the full story in an interview with Esquire magazine.

Musicians who Have Seen UFOs
According to Michael Luckman, author of Alien Rock: The Rock and Roll Extraterrestrial Connection, quite a few famous musicians have had UFO experiences. Craggy-faced rocker Mick Jagger is said to have seen two UFOs in the course of his life. One, a cigar-shaped “mothership,” appeared in 1968 while he was camping in Glastonbury with then girlfriend Marianne Faithfull. The other allegedly hovered over the audience while he was performing a gig in California. If Michael Luckman is to be believed, Jagger even had a UFO detector installed in his home. Jagger couldn’t get no satisfaction, though, because it kept going off, whenever he wasn’t in the house! John Lennon saw a UFO at his apartment in New York with his girlfriend May Pang. The object was cone-shaped, but flattened at the top, crowned with a steady red light, and featuring a row of smaller, pulsating white lights. It drew close to the amazed couple in their 17th floor apartment before passing on by. They managed to take some photographs of the object but all came out over-exposed. UFOs seemed to pervade the life of Elvis Presley. Strange lights were seen in the sky at the time Elvis was born; quite a few were seen around him in his life; and one was allegedly seen hovering over the mourners when his coffin was interred in the grounds of Graceland. Some even speculate that perhaps The King himself was an extra-terrestrial - and not in the coffin at all, but looking down on it from above in the flying saucer!

Project Magnet - Wilbert B Smith
Project Magnet: the story of Wilbert B. Smith, Canadian UFO Researcher
by Paul McManus
Transport for Air Services, accepted the proposal. The project, named Magnet, was kept classified, as there was a potential to create new technologies with unknown potentials. In 1953 Project Magnet moved into borrowed Department of Transport facilities at Shirley’s Bay, just upstream of Ottawa, on the Ottawa River. His research equipment included a magnetometer, a gamma-ray detector, a powerful radio receiver, and a gravimeter (to measure gravity fields in the atmosphere). The press fairly quickly noticed Smith’s work on UFOs, and questions were asked of the Department of Transport. Denials were made, but it became obvious that something unusual was under way at Shirley’s Bay. On August 8, 1954, a ‘contact’ was made, at 3:01 pm. The gravimeter results, recorded on graph paper, showed a very large and unexplainable deflection, and the researchers rushed outside to have a look. All they saw was dense cloud cover. On August 10, 1954, the Department of Transport issued a report/press release admitting that they had been performing UFO research for three-and-a-half years, and that considerable data had been collected, though no definite conclusions had been reached. Although the report/press release indicated that initial data had been supported by additional research, the Department of Transport terminated Project Magnet. It appears Smith was under pressure to deny his research results, and on May 17, 1955, Smith testified at a Commons’ Special Committee on Broadcasting that no UFOs had been detected at Shirley’s Bay. Smith continued to work on gravity research, and gave a presentation in 1959 to the
Wilbert Smith was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, in 1910. He graduated from the University of British Columbia, with degrees in electrical engineering, and worked as the chief engineer for radio station CJOR in Vancouver. By 1939 Smith was working for the federal Department of Transport, designing Canada’s wartime monitoring systems. Smith made many important contributions to the development of radio technology, and had a particular interest in geo-magnetism. Smith was convinced that energy could be extracted from the magnetic fields that surround Earth. In the late 1940s, he found another interest, after reading a magazine article on ‘flying saucers’; Smith became convinced that flying saucers exist, and that they are propelled, somehow, by magnetic forces. In 1950 Smith attended a North American Radio Broadcast Association conference in Washington, DC, where he became further convinced of the existence of UFOs, and that they used magnetic forces to operate. Upon returning to Canada Smith met with Dr. Solandt, chairman of the Canadian Defence Research Board (DRB). Solandt agreed to provide laboratory space, equipment, and personnel for research into geomagnetism. In his project proposal of November 21, 1950, Smith outlined seven areas of geo-magnetic research; UFO research was not mentioned. Commander C.P. Edwards, Deputy Minister of
Illuminating Engineering Society's Canadian Regional Conference. He stated that gravity is a ‘derived function’, that researchers know what gravity is, and that researchers have a good idea of how to control gravity. Smith claimed that experiments had verified that ‘artificial’ gravity could be created, and that it is possible to alter Earth’s gravitational field, and that, in fact, both these goals had been accomplished. Although Smith did not officially spin the line that there were no UFO's, he did stoke the fires a bit shortly before his death. Smith claimed that in 1952, a time of the great UFO wave, the U.S.A.F. had recovered a piece of a UFO that had been shot at near Washington, D.C. He said that the U.S. Air Force had loaned him a piece of the recovery. He showed it to a friend, Rear Admiral H. B. Knowles. When asked later if he returned the piece to the Air Force, he replied, "Not the Air Force. Much higher than that." "Was it the CIA?" he was asked. Smith's reply was, "I’m sorry, gentlemen, but I don’t care to go beyond that point. I can say to you that it went into the hands of a highly classified group. You will have to solve that problem, their identity, for yourselves." Late in his life, Smith published many of his ideas in a book titled “The New Science”. Wilbert B. Smith died of cancer December 27, 1962, and was posthumously awarded the Lieutenant-Colonel Keith S. Rogers Memorial Engineering Award for dedicated service in the advancement of Technical Standards in Canadian Broadcasting. Smith’s former laboratory still exists at Shirley’s Bay, though it is much changed from what he started his research in. Most of the documentation regarding Project Magnet remains classified.

their official explanation of the September 11th attacks." Why had the military failed to intercept the hijacked planes? Had the government issued a "stand down" order, to minimize interference with a secret plan to destroy the buildings and blame it on Islamic terrorists? In 2005, Popular Mechanics published a massive investigation of similar claims and responses to them. The reporting team found that North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) did not have a history of having fighter jets prepped and ready to intercept aircraft that had gone off route. And while it found no evidence the government had planned the attacks, lack of proof has rarely stopped conspiracy theorists before. actually knighting someone else. This is because, conspiracy-minded Beatlemaniacs say, Paul McCartney secretly died in 1966. Theorists claim the other Beatles covered up his death — hiring someone who looked like him, sang like him, and had the same jovial personality. But the guilt eventually got to them and they began hiding clues in their music. In the song "Taxman," George Harrison gave his "advice for those who die," meaning Paul. The entire Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album was awash with Paul is Dead clues: the Beatles had formed a "new" band featuring a fictional member named Billy Shears — supposedly, the name of Paul's replacement. The album contained John Lennon's "A Day in the Life," which had the lyrics: "He blew his mind out in a car" and the recorded phrase "Paul is dead, miss him, miss him," which only becomes evident when the song is played backwards. Lennon also mumbled "I buried Paul" at the end of "Strawberry Fields Forever" (in interviews, Lennon said the phrase was actually "cranberry sauce" and denied the existence of any backwards messages). Paul is Dead believers think the Beatles accompanied these backwards tape loops and veiled references to death with album covers that illustrated the loss of their friend. The original cover of 1966's Yesterday and Today album featured the Beatles posed amid raw meat and dismembered doll parts — symbolizing McCartney's gruesome accident. If fans placed a mirror in front of the Sergeant Pepper album cover, the words "Lonely Hearts" on the drum logo could be read as: "1 ONE 1 X HE DIE 1 ONE 1." And of course, there's the Abbey Road cover, on which John, George and Ringo forwent all pretense and pretended to cross the street as a funeral procession. John wore all white like a clergyman. Ringo, the mourner, dressed in black. George donned jeans, like a gravedigger. Paul wore no shoes (he didn't need them because he was dead) and walked out of step with the others. If Paul is dead, then his imposter is still at large. He met and married Linda McCartney, with whom he had four children before losing her to breast cancer in 1998. He released a live album in 1993 called Paul is Live (likely story), and produced over 20 solo albums — and that's not even counting the ones released by Wings. Then he endured a horrible divorce from Heather Mills, which may have made him wish he were dead — or at least, were still Billy Shears. So who is the real McCartney? The world may never know. The JFK Assassination
This much we can stipulate: President John F. Kennedy was assassinated forty-five years ago this week, on Nov. 22, 1963, struck by two bullets — one in the head, one in the neck — while riding in an open-topped limo through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with killing him, and a presidential commission headed by U.S. Supreme Court chief justice Earl Warren found that Oswald acted alone. That conclusion hasn't passed muster with the public. A 2003 ABC News poll found that 70% of Americans believe Kennedy's death was the result of a broader plot. The trajectory of the bullets, some say, didn't square with Oswald's perch on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. Others suggest a second gunman — perhaps on the grassy knoll of Dealey Plaza — participated in the shooting. Others believe in an even broader conspiracy. Was Kennedy killed by CIA agents acting either out of anger over the Bay of Pigs or at the behest of Vice President Lyndon Johnson? By KGB operatives? Mobsters mad at Kennedy's brother for initiating the prosecution of organized crime rings? Speculation over one of history's most famous political assassinations is such a popular parlor game that most people have taken the rumors to heart: just 32% of those polled by ABC believe Oswald carried out the killing on his own.
Area 51 and the Aliens
We may have Tang thanks to the space program, but who gave us such innovations as the stealth plane and kevlar? Aliens, of course. Conspiracy theorists believe the remains of crashed UFO spacecraft are stored at Area 51, an Air Force base about 150 miles from Las Vegas, where government scientists reverse engineer the aliens' highly advanced technology. Fodder for this has come from a variety of supposed UFO sightings in the area and testimony from a retired Army colonel who says he was given access to extraterrestrial materials gathered from an alien spacecraft that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. Some also believe the government studies time travel at Area 51, also known as Groom Lake or Dreamland. The government has developed advanced aircraft and weapons systems at nearby Nellis Air Force Base, including stealth bombers and reconnaissance planes. And the government's official line — that the details of Area 51 are classified for purposes of national security — are only seen as further proof that the military is hiding aliens or alien spacecraft.
Paul is Dead
Not since the JFK's assassination has there been a national tragedy so heavily imprinted in American minds — or that has given rise to quite as many alternate explanations. While video and photographs of the two planes striking the World Trade Center towers are famous around the world, the sheer profusion of documentary evidence has only provided even more fodder for conspiracy theories. A May 2006 Zogby poll found that 42% of Americans believed that the government and the 9/11 commission "concealed or refused to investigate critical evidence that contradicts

faked the lunar landings, with Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin acting out their mission on a secret film set, located (depending on the theory) either high in the Hollywood Hills or deep within Area 51. With the photos and videos of the Apollo missions only available through NASA, there's no independent verification that the lunar landings were anything but a hoax. The smoking gun? Film of Aldrin planting a waving American flag on the moon, which critics say proves that he was not in space — the flag's movement, they say, clearly shows the presence of wind, which is impossible in the vacuum. NASA says that Aldrin was twisting the flag pole to get the moon soil, which caused the flag to move. (And never mind that astronauts have brought back hundreds of independently verified moon rocks.) Theorists have even suggested that filmaker Stanley Kubrick may have helped NASA fake the first lunar landing, given that his 1968 film 2001: A Space Odessey proves that the technology existed back then to artificially create a spacelike set. And as for Virgil I. Grissom, Edward H. White, Roger B. Chaffee — three astronauts who died in a fire while testing equipment for the first moon mission? They were executed by the U.S. government, which feared they were about to disclose the truth.
Secret Societies Control the World
If you were really a member of the global elite, you'd know this already: the world is ruled by a powerful, secretive few. Many of the rest of us peons have heard that in 2004, both candidates for the White House were members of Yale University's secretive Skull and Bones society, many of whose whose members have risen to powerful positions. But Skull and Bones is small potatoes compared to the mysterious cabals that occupy virtually every seat of power, from the corridors of government to the boardrooms of Wall Street. Take the Illuminati, a sect said to have originated in 18th century Germany and which is allegedly responsible for the pyramid-andeye symbol adorning the one-dollar bill: they intend to foment world wars to strengthen the argument for the creation of a worldwide government (which would, of course, be Satanic in nature). Or consider the Freemasons, who tout themselves as the "oldest and largest worldwide fraternity" and boast alumni like George Washington. Some think that despite donating heaps of cash to charity, they're secretly plotting your undoing at masonic temples across the world. Or maybe, some theorize, the guys pulling the strings aren't concealed in shadow at all. They might be the intelligentsia on the Council on Foreign Relations, a cadre of policy wonks who allegedly count their aims as publishing an erudite bi-monthly journal and establishing a unified world government—not necessarily in that order.
Jesus and Mary Magdalene
Despite overwhelming evidence and an admission and apology from Germany decades ago, revisionists continue to claim that nearly six million Jews were not killed by Nazis during the Holocaust. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, for one, has called the Holocaust "a myth," and suggested that Germany and other European countries, rather than Palestine, provide land for a Jewish state. Unlike Ahmadinejad, most revisionists do not deny that Jews were interned in prison camps during World War II; rather, they argue that the number of deaths was greatly exaggerated. Gas chambers are a particular sticking point, which Holocaust deniers say were purely a rumor, or, if they indeed existed, were not powerful enough to kill — though evidence and history indicates otherwise. And the photographs of emaciated and dying Jews? Attorney Edgar J. Steele, a revisionist, says, "All those pictures of skinny people and bodies stacked like cordwood were actually of Czechs and Poles and Germans [who] died of typhus, which was rampant in the camps."
The CIA and AIDS
The Moon Landings Were Faked
Jesus and Mary Magdalene might have been married, or so says the Gospel of Philip. Sure, it's the basic plot of The Da Vinci Code (the thriller also wraps in conspiracy shibboleths like Opus Dei and the Knights Templar for good measure) — but the theory finds its basis in writings from the Gnostic Gospels, which were discovered in 1945 and whose authenticity religious experts still dispute. In the gospel, Mary Magdalene, who is referred to as Jesus' koinonos, a Greek term for "companion" or "partner," is depicted as being closer to Jesus than any other apostle. In an exchange between Peter and Mary, he admits to her that "the Saviour loved you above all other women" — a tense moment in the scripture that seems to portray the jealousy that the other apostles might have felt for Mary's relationship with Jesus. The only other evidence used to support the theory is a mention of Jesus kissing Mary often, a custom that some say was typical of him to do to with those close to him. (Remember Judas?) Since the CDC first reported the HIV/AIDS epidemic in 1981, rumors have persisted that the deadly virus was created by the CIA to wipe out homosexuals and African Americans. Even today, the conspiracy theory has a number of high-profile believers. South Africa president Thabo Mbeki once touted the theory, disputing scientific claims that the virus originated in Africa and instead accusing the U.S. government of manufacturing the disease in military labs. When she won the Nobel Peace Prize, Kenyan ecologist Wangari Maathai used the international spotlight to support the theory as well. Others insist that the government deliberately injected gay men with the virus during 1978 Hepatitis B experiments in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Still others point to Richard Nixon, who combined the U.S. Army's biowarfare department with the National Cancer Institute in 1971. Though the co-discoverers of HIV — Dr. Robert Gallo of the National Cancer Institute and Luc Montagnier of the Pasteur Institute in Paris — don't agree on its origins, most of the scientific community believe the virus jumped from monkeys to humans sometime during the 1930s.

The Hamilton Academy of Veterinary Medicine (HAVM) would like to remind cat and dog owners in the city and surrounding area that, with the return of spring and the mosquitoes, it is again time to have your pets tested for heartworm and to start them on their monthly Heartworm Prevention. Huge increase in the incidence of Heartworm disease The members of The Hamilton Academy of Veterinary Medicine (HAVM) are extremely concerned. In 2008 there was a 10 fold increase in the number of "seen and treated" cases of Heartworm disease in Hamilton. This dramatic increase was particularly evident in dogs that were imported into Canada from heartworm endemic areas of the United States, specifically but not limited to the state of Louisiana. If you adopted a dog, from any source, that was from the United States as a hurricane rescue dog it is imperative that you see a veterinarian and discuss the current protocol to insure your pet is heartworm negative and how to protect them in the future. Even if you were told that your dog was tested negative prior to adoption it is still imperative that you see a veterinarian. Many of these dogs were imported only having had one negative heartworm test. TESTING FOR YOUR PET The American Heartworm Society's current protocol for dogs, 8 months of age and older, coming from heartworm endemic areas, requires that the dog have three negative heartworm tests. The initial test should be followed up with a second test at 4 months and the final test at 9 months, after the initial test. During this period the dog should also be on a monthly heartworm preventative. HEARTWORM DISEASE IS A DEVASTATING AND COSTLY DISEASE The Hamilton Academy of Veterinary Medicine (HAVM) does not want to see any family lose their family pet to this preventable disease. It is still possible for us to control this disease in Ontario. 1) If you have a dog, see your veterinarian now for a heartworm test. 2) If you have adopted a hurricane dog see your veterinarian and advise them. 3) If you are planning to adopt a hurricane dog or any dog from a heartworm endemic area of the United States, be aware that unless they have had 3 negative heartworm tests, and have been on monthly preventative during the entire time, there is a very good chance that they may be heartworm positive. Heartworm is difficult and can be expensive to treat. If you are contemplating adopting a dog from Louisiana it is important to ask about the dog's testing and treatment before you commit. Your veterinarian is your best resource for understanding and managing this disease. We care about your pet's well being. For more information contact:

They are among us. Blood-drinking, flesh-eating, shape-shifting extraterrestial reptilian humanoids with only one objective in their cold-blooded little heads: to enslave the human race. They are our leaders, our corporate executives, our beloved Oscar-winning actors and Grammy-winning singers, and they're responsible for the Holocaust, the Oklahoma City bombings and the 9/11 attacks ... at least according to former BBC sports reporter David Ickes, who became the poster human for the theory in 1998 after publishing his first book, The Biggest Secret, which contained interviews with two Brits who claimed the royal family are nothing more than reptiles with crowns. (Picture Dracula meets Swamp Thing). The conspiracy theorist and New Age philosopher, who only wore turquoise for a time and insisted on being called "Son of GodHead," says these "Anunnaki" (the reptiles) have controlled humankind since ancient times; they count among their number Queen Elizabeth, George W. Encroaching on other conspiracy theorists' territory, he even claims that the lizards are behind secret societies like the Freemasons and the Illuminati.
