The Holy Grail of Health!
The Ultimate Natural Weight Loss Diet Plan
First things first, the following facts about me are true - I am not a doctor. I am not a highly paid spiel-hound pumping out the latest NLP derived sales pitch for the Drug Companies. I am not a medical researcher who has been paid a lot of money to hawk the 'benefits' of the latest drug company chemical wonder that kills all kinds of animals during the drug company trials but, somehow, that important fact gets omitted from the final reports in order to get the necessary FDA approval. I am a photographer, a videographer, a researcher and a writer who just loves good food. As a result, I had gained way too many pounds of bloat and fat from a diet that was low in nutrition and high in sugary, high fructose corn syrupy addled garbage. My weight had ballooned out to a horrific 360 + lbs, I had no strength, I had no stamina, and I even had virtually no sex drive left. I was in mortal danger of death from diabetes, heart problems, stroke, pulmonary congestion, and more - all because of an intense oral overstimulation of my taste buds. I was not a baby anymore - I could not satisfy my oral fixations by suckling on my mothers breasts as I used to do when I was an infant - so I ate. I ate and I ate and then I ate some more till I finally noticed that I could also not satisfy my sexual desires because I was so fat from overeating that I couldn't pick up women - they just weren't interested in me because I was too fat and unhealthy. I tried making them laugh, I tried to seduce them with words of lusty wisdom, I even tried buying my way into their hearts with jewelry, meals at expensive restaurants, flowers, vacations..., whatever else that I could think of and afford, but I still couldn't get the sexual gratifications that I needed to feed my sensual appetites. Basically..,I couldn't get laid! And then.., it finally hit me - to feed my physical and oral sexual desires and gratifications, I needed to cut back on my oral food fixations and that was when I went on my search for the perfect
diet. Thank God for the Internet. Thank God for the Internet and for today’s health food stores, but first I went to check out the information that I needed to find at my local drug stores. At this point, I still mistakenly trusted in the FDA and the entire corrupt medical and drug system. I really thought that they were designed to provide for my health safety, but I eventually learned that the only things that they provide safety for are their bulging wallets. When I went to the drug stores - all they would inform me about was the various drugs that they sold for losing weight. If I wanted something stronger, I would have to go to my doctor, get a checkup (costs money), get a prescription for a stronger drug (costs still more money)and that was what was supposed to work - to make me lose weight, to make me healthy, to allow me to attract women once again. Drugs and, of course, exercise - that was the constant prescription for weight loss that I would hear about, over and over again. I would hear about this till the drug information was coming from out of my ears and the money was forcefully exercising its' way from out of my wallet. I did the drugs and they did make me lose a bit of weight but they also made me feel weak and dizzy. I tried exercising but that became a difficult task to accomplish in my constantly weakened and dizzying state of existence. I still craved food, but I made myself eat less - I still felt hungry, but I did manage to slowly lose a few ounces. That minuscule weight loss just didn't seem to be enough for me so I finally decided to personally research nutrition, diets, food farming, the Krebs cycle and even ATP, the 'energy' molecule. After a while, I got to understand a few things, especially about our present day diets. At one time, mankind had lived in forests, savannas, deserts and mountains. Man also lived along seashores and in caves, then man moved to villages and small towns. Only relatively recently has mankind gravitated to cities and megalopolises that seem to be as far removed from our present day sources of food as Mars is from Earth. Whereas man once ate several thousand calories a day, he worked it off by hunting, by fishing, by planting crops, and by harvesting them. At the same time, the crops, the meat and the fish grew in an
unpolluted environment - no pesticides, no chemical pollution and no genetically modified franken-foods that have been inadequately tested for safety. The only things that our present day, genetically modified and chemically treated foods have been tested for is their ability to magically and deliciously grow money for the huge agribusiness monopolies at the expense of our health and the environment. Foods nowadays just do not have the nutritional values that the foods of our ancestors used to have. Yes.., food is now being grown more abundantly, but this has happened at the expense of our environment and our health. We now have genetically modified tomatoes that have fish genes in their cells to keep them safer from the cold. We now have genetically modified corn that kills butterflies and we also have genetically modified Russet potatoes that give liver cancer to the rats that they were tested on in order to get FDA approval. This is just a small sampling of the genetic frankenfoods that have been foisted on an unwitting populace without their knowledge. As late as the 1950's, various agencies in the USDA warned officials in our government that our agricultural land was depleted of minerals. Plants cannot make minerals. They draw whatever minerals that are used for growth from the soil and those minerals are returned to the soil after harvest via the leftover plant stalks and the worms and insects that propagated in the fields. After years and years of mono-culture in the same fields, no cover crops, no mulching and heavy spraying of insecticides, our soils are depleted of the necessary minerals that are necessary to sustain human and animal life. In ancient days, the soil was replenished by crop rotation, by the river overflows in the spring and by the insects that lived in the fields and pollinated our crops. Now, it's all gone - even the bees are dying off. Over the years, as we eat these nutritionally lacking foodstuffs, we end up eating more and more food as our bodies try to receive the nutritional necessities from these foods that used to supply our ancestors. As we eat more and more nutritionally lacking foods, we end up ingesting more and more calories and so.., we get fat and unhealthy. Our bodies are starving and thus demand that we eat more to make up for the nutritionally deficient foodstuffs that
we do eat - our bodies demand that we eat more in order to get the nutrients that are essential for the health of our cells. Instead, what we are getting in our nutritionally defective diets is more fats, more carbohydrates and more sugar. These garbage foods wreak havoc to our health so we also end up taking vitamins, minerals and various other nutrients in the hopes that we can somehow return to health. Unfortunately, that is not enough. Science thinks that taking one pill or another is enough, but nature does not provide us with nutrients in pills, each a separate one by itself. Nature provides us with holistic nutrients that are balanced together in a group, not individually. This balance provided by nature means that side effects based on an overdose of just one nutrient do not happen. Drugs cause overdoses, nature doesn't. As a result, we are increasingly racked with premature old age and even physical degeneration at ever earlier and earlier ages. Todays foods are also contaminated with pesticides that cause cancer, heart problems and many other diseases, but the huge agribusiness conglomerates and the drug manufacturers are incestuously tied together through interlocking directorships utilizing a multitude of politically created financial benefits that guarantee them profits from their poisons. These laws do not allow the people to have an honest choice as to their foodstuffs and these politically enacted laws stifle and imprison any alternative healers, products and medical cures or benefits. To allow these alternatives to exist would not permit the monopolies to suck up still more money from an unknowing and unwitting populace. And so.., after taking these historical facts into account, I realized that it would not be an easy matter for me to discover a healthy alternative that would allow me to lose weight but that would still provide me with optimum nutrition and would keep me from feeling hungry. As an additional benefit it would also allow me to live longer because of scientifically validated research utilizing caloric restriction. Finally after several years of study, I slowly learned about what I had to take in order to lose weight, maintain optimum health and energy and restrict myself caloricly. As an
additional benefit, I was also able to have great sex once again. The formula that I finally settled on provides all of the nutrients that a person needs. It provides the vitamins, the minerals, the essential fatty acids and hormones basically, it provides everything that is essential to having a long and healthy life without feeling hungry, despite the low calories. This formula also helps a person to deal with various difficult mental states and imbalances (eg. Depression, ADD, etc.), heart and circulation problems, diabetes, most cancers and more. It improves a persons mental capacities, their physical strength, and their stamina. And best of all, it improves ones sexual capabilities, enabling a person to go on and on for a longer period of time without exhaustion, before climaxing in a peak of satisfaction - sometimes for several times, before having to rest, to sleep or to even starting the day off with a positive attitude before going to work. I feel like I am in my twenties once again. Is This the Holy Grail of Health..?
Your Health and Longevity According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, more than 2/3 of all deaths in the United States are related to diet. Over 50% of these deaths are caused by blockage of blood flow to the heart or brain – coronary occlusion. 97% of these heart problems could be eliminated through a heart healthy diet – preferably vegetarian. The next major causes of deaths are cancer related. There are many debates about what causes cancers, but unhealthy foods, pollution of our environment and even the electro-magnetic pollution of our airwaves all contribute to disrupting our cell metabolism and playing havoc with our genes. Our immune systems manufacture killer T cells that fight off disease - these are a critical part of the body’s ability to fight viruses and various cancers. Although there have been no studies to date of how improper nutrition or pollution of the environment impact our genes, improper nutrition does prevent optimum gene replication within our cells. Pollution of our environment also disrupts our gene metabolism and shortens our life spans through various cancers and heart related diseases. If there is another cause that disrupts our gene replication, I have not yet discovered it in my researches. There are causes and then there are the effects of those causes but I do know that improper nutrition does not allow our cells to get the necessary biological nutrients that are necessary to maintain our health. And that.., well that now brings us to Telomeres. Telomeres are the caps of repetitive DNA that occur at the ends of chromosomes. They protect the ends of the chromosomes from fusing with other adjacent chromosomes or rearranging themselves, which can develop into cancer or other abnormalities. Since a telomere is a region of repetitive DNA at the
end of a chromosome, it protects the end of the chromosome from destruction. If the cells divided without telomeres, they would lose the ends of their chromosomes, and the necessary information it contains. Basically, a telomere is a disposable buffer which is used up during the division of somatic cells. So, while the existence of telomeres means that cells can divide and that they carry a full compliment of DNA, it also means that somatic cells do age – they cannot divide for ever. Pollution and an inadequate diet can all contribute to shortened telomeres and improper cell replication, which contributes to aging, disease and death. Several studies have found that shorter telomeres are statistically correlated to mortality, morbidity, lower socioeconomic position, gender, menopausal status, smoking, obesity, insulin resistance, lack of vitamin D and inflammation. Additional studies have shown that you can take a significant step toward lengthening telomeres with vitamin supplements and certain herbs – specifically Astragalus. But, you can't take just any old vitamins there are certain, specific vitamins that can lengthen telomeres that you do need to take. For example.., B12 supplements and the anti-oxidants,including vitamins C and E prevent telomere shortening, thereby increasing the life span of cells. According to Dr Searle, to lengthen your telomeres, this is what you need to eat: * Vitamin B12: grass-fed beef, beef liver, salmon, tuna, and milk are good sources. You can also supplement with at least 100 mcg of B12 a day. Although, I have recommended as much as 500 mcg per day to patients for improving things like brain function and energy levels. * Vitamin C: kiwi, strawberries, oranges, mango, red and green bell peppers, and raspberries are good sources. And if you are in good health, I recommend taking up to 3,000 mg per day. If pregnant 6,000 mg, and in sickness up to 20,000 mg.
* Vitamin E: turnip greens, spinach, broccoli, almonds, and olive oil are good sources. For supplementing, you want your vitamin E to be "mixed tocopherols". And you want them to be the more absorbable, organic "d" form. I recommend 200 to 400 IU of mixed tocopherols a day. Unlike vitamins B12 and C, vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means it needs fat to get absorbed in your body. So be sure to take it with food. As for your multivitamin, you also want to pay attention to potency and quality. Most of the brands on the drugstore and supermarket shelves fall short of the vitamins and minerals you need most. And they are usually made with synthetic ingredients instead of natural. A good-quality multivitamin should have at least 500 mg of vitamin C, 200 IU of vitamin E, and 100 mcg of B12. And remember, you want a formula that doesn't contain iron, because iron keeps telomeres short.“ Good advice even though several newer studies do indicate still higher levels of these nutrients are necessary for optimum telomere survival. And, as for iron, most men get all of the iron that they need from their daily diets. An excess of iron can increase the risk of cancer and damage the heart and the arteries. Women lose iron monthly because of their monthly periods but men can only lose iron by getting their noses bloodied in a fight (not recommended) or by donating blood in hospitals or blood banks (vampire supermarkets?) In addition, along with the Vitamin E, make sure that you also get tocotrienols in its' various forms – a, b, d etc, They are related to vit. E and they are also very important to your diet. However, shopping for fresh organic food and getting your vitamins naturally costs money, especially so since the less expensive, non-organic, nutritionally depleted foods that are commonly available from most food manufacturers use chemical preservatives, GMO's
(genetically modified organisms), cloned meat (boneless beef – for sure), taste enhancers and God knows what else in their search for ever more profits from their dead, imitation foodstuffs. Natural and organic foods do cost more, to the point were life gets almost too expensive to maintain until you consider that your health and the healing of chemical induced diseases cost still more – eventually costing us our lives. Natural and organic foods also have more nutrients than the mass produced supermarket garbage that is generally available. More info from Dr. Sears newsletter: We now know that telomere length is a key indicator of your overall health. The latest evidence from the most highly regarded sources keeps mounting . . . * Aging/Los Angeles Times Your risk of heart attack increases the faster your telomeres break down. Scientists looked at people in perfect health . . . who later died from heart disease. They found the death rate from heart attack was three times higher for men whose telomeres got short the fastest. The death rate for women was 2.3 times higher. (2009) * Journals of Gerontology 100 year olds in good health had “significantly longer” telomeres than those with health problems. (2008) * American Heart Association People with shorter telomeres in their immune cells had twice the risk of death from heart failure as patients with the longest telomeres. The study, published in one of its key journals, looked at over 750 people with heart disease. The highest-risk group had telomeres half the length of the lowest-risk group. (2008)
* Psychosomatic Medicine Women with shorter telomeres are more likely to be overweight and insulin resistant. (2008) * American Association for Cancer Research One of its flagship journals published a potential link between telomere length and colon cancer. (2006) * Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences People with short telomeres are more likely to suffer from weaker immune systems and greater heart disease risk. (2004) .., as we can see, the first step involves using natural foods that are unpolluted. These foods must also provide the high quality protein that our bodies need in order to rebuild the tissues and to keep our telomeres as long as possible for as long as possible.
The First Ingredient
The first ingredient for health in this diet plan is a protein. Specifically, a plant based protein that provides all the amino acids, essential fatty acids, the omega oils, calcium, magnesium, fiber, vitamins and anti-oxidants. This plant is Chia. Ch..., ch.., ch...., C H I A ! ! Chia (Salvia Hispanica) is a member of the mint family. In pre-Colombian times, it was ultivated by the Aztecs in the Central Valley of Mexico and it was one of the five major sources of Aztec plant foods. Chia is an annual herb that grows to about 6 feet tall, with opposite leaves 2 to 3 inches long and about 1 to 3 inches wide. The seeds themselves are tiny, with a diameter of about 1/25 th of an inch. They come in various colors – brown, gray, black and white. Nutritionally, they contain about 20% protein, 34% oil and 25% fiber (mostly soluble). They also have high levels of anti-oxidants – quercitin, myrecetin, kaempferol, and more. In addition, the seeds also contain a very high concentration of omega-3 fatty acids, about 64%. They have no gluten and only trace amounts of sodium. Since they have been cultivated and eaten for centuries, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regards them as safe (GRAS) for human and animal consumption. Chia seeds were regarded as the third most important crop by the Aztecs, behind only corn and beans. They were often used for taxes and tribute in Chia seeds was also paid to the Aztec priests. Since Chia has such high levels of anti-oxidants, it is high in protein (18grams/100 grams of seed), high levels of soluble fiber and also has very high levels of omega-3's, it is a perfect food for diabetics and people who are trying to control and lose their excess weight. In addition, the seeds are high in fiber, calcium and protein, they are loaded with vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants and the carbohydrates in Chia
are processed very slowly in the body. Chia seeds are also very hydrophilic. That means that Chia absorbs about 14 times its' weight in water (mix 1 part Chia to ten parts water). Chia’s hydrophilic properties aid in the digestion of many hard to digest and spicy foods that can contribute to a patients' suffering as a result of an upset stomach. Even if you are sensitive to certain foods, Chia may be tolerated with very little discomfort, if any at all, when a hydrophilic colloid like Chia is made a part of the diet. Harsh and disagreeable effects on the digestion in the upper gastrointestinal tract can often lead a person to puree their food but they may find positive digestive benefits from hydrophilic colloids, which may lead to avoiding the necessity for pureeing. Even raw vegetables, green salads and fruits may be given to patients having gastrointestinal problems, with little or no discomfort to the patient. There are several additional hydrophilic foods available that also offer these beneficial benefits - cactus juice, beet juice, agar, the edible seaweeds, the silica gels and mucilaginous substances of various vegetable origins are among additional colloids that have been proven effective. However, each one of the above mentioned substances have one or more drawbacks. They either cost too much, they may have various toxic side effects, they taste bad, they are not readily available, they have insufficient hydration capability, or they are indigestible. Chia seed is a muscle and tissue builder - it is an energizer that gives a person endurance with extensive hydration of ntheir cells and it possesses none of the above disadvantages. Because of its biochemical properties, it supports positive healing in immediate problems of digestion. Why? Well.., if we consider the effect of chronic irritation on the nerves of the gastrointestinal tract, it is reasonable to think that a less irritating and more gentle digestion might ease the actions of the otherwise hypersensitive stomach. As a result, when hydrophilic colloids are added to the diet, the same foods, which formerly irritated the
stomach may now be eaten without harm. As a source of protein, Chia is digested and absorbed very easily. This results in rapid delivery to the tissues and subsequent optimum nutrient utilization by the cells. This efficient digestion makes Chia very effective during rapid tissue development which takes place mainly during the primary growth periods of children and adolescents. Rapid tissue development and regeneration also occurs during pregnancy, lactation and during the regeneration of muscle tissue by athletes, weight lifters, etc. An additional quality of Chia seed is its high oil content – it is the richest vegetable source for the essential omega-3 fatty acids. For those concerned about the depletion of our oceans due to overfishing and pollution, Chia seeds are better than fish oil or flax seeds in providing omega-3's – no mercury or other heavy metal pollution as found in fish and no rancidity of the oil as can happen with flax. As for the optimum ratio of omega-3's to omega-6's, it should be at least 1:2 and Chia seeds provide a 3:1 ratio that helps reverse the 1:10 or even 1:20 ratios that our present western diet has been foisting on us for many years. Chia has between three to ten times the oil concentrations of most grains and about one and a half to two times the protein concentration of any other grains. These are essential oils that your body needs to help emulsify and absorb the fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E, & K. Chia seeds are also very rich in linolenic acid, an essential unsaturated fatty acid which the body cannot manufacture. When sufficient amounts of linolenic acid are supplied to the body through the diet, both linoleic and arachidonic acids can be synthesized from the linolenic acid. These unsaturated fatty acids are important for the respiration of vital organs and they make it easier for oxygen to be transported by the blood stream to all of the cells, tissues, and organs. They also help to maintain cell
resilience and lubrication while they also combine with protein and cholesterol to form the phospholipids that hold the body cells together. Unsaturated fatty acids are necessary for all normal glandular activity, especially those of the adrenal and thyroid glands. Fatty acids nourish the skin cells and they are essential for healthy mucus membranes and the nerves. These unsaturated fatty acids work in the body by associating with vitamin D, along with the boron in the Chia, to make calcium available to the tissues, to assist in the assimilation of phosphorus and magnesium and to stimulate the transformation of carotene into vitamin A. Fatty acids are also necessary for the normal functioning of the reproductive system. Chia seeds have healthful long-chain triglycerides (LCT) in the beneficial proportions to reduce cholesterol buildup on the artery walls. Chia has the highest amount of omega 3 fatty acids known in the plant world. Again, as with fiber the amount of omega 3 fatty acids varies with the growing location and the environment during the growing season but the amount typically varies from 58 to 65% of the total oil content. The omega 3 fatty acid found in Chia, is linolenic acid and it is an essential acid. Since the body cannot manufacture linolenic acid, a person must get this fatty acid from their diet. This is unlike EPA and DHA which come from marine sources and which the body manufactures from alpha linolenic acid (ALA). The body converts the linolenic acid to EPA and DHA only as it is needed and depending on how much is needed at the time. Some of the positive benefits of consuming omega 3 fatty acids are reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and improved mental functions - I haven't heard of any negative effects.
Specifically, the health benefits of omega 3 fatty acids are: A decrease in LDL. An increase in HDL. A decrease in Triglyceride levels. Lower blood pressure. Less rheumatic joint pain. Reduction in ADD symptoms. Boosting of immune system. Lessening of Alzheimers. Helps your brain burn energy so it makes you smarter. Fiber Chia has both soluble and insoluble fibers, with the amounts of each varying depending upon both the growth and environmental conditions during the growth cycle. Generally, the total fiber level is approximately 28 to 32 percent. Most of the fiber in Chia is soluble with approximately 3% – 4 % insoluble. Insoluble fiber reduces the risk of breast and colon cancer while soluble reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and some cancers. Fiber is important for gastrointestinal health and plays an important role in evacuating the bowels of food waste products that have been ingested. Fiber causes peristaltic contractions in the large intestine and rapidly moves the contents towards excretion. Fiber has also been associated with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes. This happens because the fiber helps to normalize the glucose response and thus decreases both the insulin levels and needs. Fiber rich meals are also processed more slowly by the body - they provide more bulk compared to low fiber meals and they produce a feeling of hunger satisfaction with fewer calories. High fiber foods also require more chewing
and they take longer to eat. Most people have a tendency to overeat because the hormonal signals that send messages of fullness to the brain take several minutes to arrive so, in the meantime, the person still feels hungry and continues eating. By the time that the signal of fullness arrives to the brain, the person has overeaten and gains weight..
Additional Nutrients in Chia. Chia has both Antioxidants and Phytochemicals. They are important to health, but they are not necessary for life. The antioxidant capacity of foods is called Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) and Chia has a high ORAC value, ranging from 60 to 85 µmoles TE/g, with the black seed having a higher value than the white. Chia has vitamins and minerals that protect cells from free radicals and are necessary for cell division, growth and health in the body. Chia has Phenols or Phenolic Compounds that reduce the risk of cardiovascular heart disease and cancer. Chia has flavonoids including flavonols, flavones, catechins, flavanones, anthocyanidins, and isoflavonoids. quercetin, kaempferol, myricetin, the phenolic acids: Ferulic, Caffeic, p-Coumaric and chlorogenic; along with Catechins; and Phytic acid. Chia has anti-oxidants that help prevent diseases by eliminating free radicals. Free radicals contribute to the following diseases:
aging, cancer, cardiovascular disease, cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, immune dysfunction, cataracts and macular degeneration Adding Chia to your diet can reduce oxidative stress and it can help prevent these diseases from occurring. Chia is not only high in protein, what also matters is the quality of that protein. The limiting factor of plant proteins is the amino acid lysine. That is why corn, although it tastes great, needs to be eaten with beans and or rice to get the lysine that it needs in order to become a more complete protein. Chia has very high levels of lysine and the quality of the Chia protein is higher than corn or wheat. Chia also has reasonable amounts of Niacin and Folic acid. As for minerals, Chia is a good source of Calcium, Magnesium, Iron and Potassium while it is also low in Sodium. It is also trans fat, cholesterol and gluten free so virtually no one gets allergic reactions from Chia. As an ingredient, Chia is a dieters dream. There are innumerable ways to add Chia seeds into your daily diet. Chia must be prepared with pure water – preferably distilled - before using in any recipe. Chia will absorb between 9 to 10 times it’s weight in water in less than 10 minutes and it is very simple to prepare. When mixed with water, one pound of Chia seeds will make about 10 pounds of Chia gel. This is the most singular structural quality of Chia seed – it is very hydrophilic (water absorbing) so its' saturated cells hold the water and when it is mixed with foods, it replaces calories and fat without cutting back on the flavor.
To make Chia Gel (9 to 1 ratio) Put the water in a sealable container and slowly pour the seeds into the water while quickly mixing it with a whisk. Wait a couple of minutes, whisk again and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Whisk it once again before either using the gel or storing it in the refrigerator (the gel will keep for up to 2 weeks). You can add this gel to jams or jellies, to hot or cold cereals, to yogurts, to mustard, to ketchup and to various sauces etc. You can add the gel, between ½% to ¾ % by volume, to any non-baked foods, mix well and taste. You will get a very smooth texture with the flavors intact. In addition to adding up to ½% to ¾ % more volume to the foods that the Chia is used in, you will also displace both the calories and the fat by using an ingredient that is 90% water. You can use it as a fat replacer, for energy and endurance, or even for adding great taste, by replacing the oil in your breads with Chia gel. There are many other benefits from the Chia seed besides the nutritive improvements you get from the Chia when it is used as a food ingredient. It was also used by both Indians and missionaries as a poultice for gunshot wounds, cuts and other serious injuries. They would pack the wounds with Chia seeds to both avoid infections and to promote healing. Chia seeds have: Twice the protein of any other seed or grain, Generous amounts of omega-3 and omega-6, which are essential fatty acids, Twice the amount of potassium as bananas, Three times the antioxidant power of blueberries,
Three times more iron than spinach, Five times the calcium of milk, plus..., Chia also has boron which is a trace mineral that helps transfer calcium into your bones, Chia seeds are a complete source of protein, providing all the essential amino acids in an easily digestible form. They are also a great source of soluble fiber - it is highly hydrophilic - the seeds absorb water and create a mucilaginous gel. They can hold 9-12 times their weight in water and they absorb it very rapidly - in under 10 minutes. One additional advantage of chia is that because it has such a high antioxidant content, the seeds stay stable for much longer without turning rancid whereas flax turns rancid very soon if it is not refrigerated. Chia seeds can easily be stored dry for 4-5 years without losing flavor, odor or nutritional value. You can easily substitute chia in any recipe that calls for flax. Since the taste of chia is very mild and pleasant, you can easily combine it with other foods without changing the taste. People have added chia to their sauces, to bread batters, to puddings, to smoothies, to yogurt, and even to peanut butter and jams. The flavor is not lost – it is retained and a lot more nutrition is added. When Chia is added to foods, it bulks them up and displaces calories and fat without adulterating the flavor. Therefore, someone can eat a normal sized serving, but they only consume half the calories they might have normally eaten, because the food has been bulked up with Chia.
What are some of the other benefits of eating Chia? Well.., since it provides energy and boosts strength, Chia also enhances endurance. Chia lowers blood sugar levels, it promotes weight loss and it most definitely ensures intestinal regularity – i.e. regular bowel movements. Chia also slows the negative influence of sugars on the system when both are eaten together. The Chia gel creates a physical barrier between the carbohydrates and the digestive enzymes that are supposed to break them down. This results in a slowing down of the conversion of carbohydrates into sugar. That means that the energy from the food is released slowly and steadily, giving a person more endurance. Specifically, this also is of great benefit to diabetics. It means that a diabetic can combine Chia with super-sweet tastes like jams or juices and not get insulin shock. Since Chia has very high water absorption qualities, it can help you prolong hydration and retain electrolytes, especially during any kind of prolonged physical activities. Water-soaked chia seeds are easily digestible and absorbed. The seed shells break down quickly and they feel light but energizing. The nutrients in Chia are easily absorbed and assimilated into the body, which is another why they provide long lasting energy As Chia seeds bulk up, they work like a miniature pooper scooper inside of your digestive system. It sweeps through your intestinal tract and shoves out, cleans, dislodges and eliminates all of the old accumulated waste in the intestinal tract. Many people also see their their frequency of stool elimination become more regular once they start adding Chia to their diets. Chia seeds contain no gluten. That makes it ideal for
anyone who has a gluten sensitivity or just wants to find a substitute for gluten-containing grains like wheat, barley, rye or oats. Chia can help in a variety of medical issues: weight loss or balance, thyroid conditions, hypoglycemia, diabetes, IBS, celiac disease, acid reflux and even in lowering cholesterol. In addition, there is considerable evidence to suggest that regular consumption of omega-3 fatty acids prevents cardiovascular diseases, including protection from atherosclerosis and thrombosis. Most of the studies that have been done used fish oils and fish oils are rich in eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic fatty acids, but linolenic acid is a precursor of both icosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids so that should work just as well as the fish oils without paying more for buying fish oils that have been molecularly distilled in order avoid contamination, especially from mercury and all the medical drugs that get washed away into our seas. It also avoids sensitivity and allergy problems for people who are allergic to fish and fish products. On a final note the FDA in 2005 confirmed in a letter to Dr. Wayne Coates that chia is a food and is safe to eat. The letter stated in part: “Chia is considered a food” and, “chia has been consumed by native cultures for long periods of time, and we are not aware of any safety concerns.”
The Second Ingredient
The second ingredient of this wonderful diet plan is pollen. No.., it;s not the kind of pollen that gives you allergies in the spring and fall (although some people could still be allergic to it anyways) - the pollen that I am talking about is the stuff that comes from the hive - a bee hive, Pollen has been around since about the time of the dinosaurs but, as far as we know, there were no people around at the time to collect the pollen, the honey and other bee products from the bees, to study it's uses and to marvel at how great the bee products were. Pollen is often referred to as natures most complete food. It has been praised in the Bible, various religious books, and even in ancient Chinese, Hindu and Egyptian texts. In the West, it has been used by Hippocrates, Pliny the Elder, and Pythagoras. Bee pollen rejuvenates the body, stimulates the different organs and glands, boosts energy and extends the life span. In more modern days, Russian athletes in the last century stunned the nations of the west by outperforming western athletes in the Olympic Games. The Russians superior performance was attributed to Bee Pollen when the west accused the Russians of using performance enhancing drugs and this led to research into pollens effects, which continues to this day. Pollen is a powdery substance that is the male gametophyte generation of seed-bearing plants. In gymnosperms, each pollen grain also contains two sterile cells (called prothallial cells), thought to be remnants of the vegetative tissue of the male gametophyte. It fertilizes the female plants and creates seeds that sprout in the soil and continue the cycle of life in the kingdom of nature.
Every variety of flower in the universe puts forth a powdery dusting of pollen, including many orchard and food crops that are grown by man. One teaspoonful of pollen contains approximately 1,200 pellets or 2.5 billion grains, each one of which has the ability to supply those substances that are necessary in order to fertilize and reproduce the particular species that it represents. Each grain measures approximately .002 inches in diameter (although the representative diameter is somewhere near one-half millimeter), and each bee-collected pellet contains approximately two million grains of pollen. Pollen that is gathered by bees is superior to that obtained directly from flowering plants. The bees discriminate when selecting the best pollen from the millions of grains that are present. Of these, only two types are found - anemophile pollen grains (which are not collected by bees, and produce allergic reactions) and entomophile pollen grains (which are collected by bees, and have a much higher nutrient content). The bees only select the best grains of pollen - those grains that are rich in all the nutrients, especially nitrogenous materials. The bees then mix the pollen grains with a sticky substance that is secreted from their stomachs and which allows the pollen to adhere to their rear legs in "pollen baskets" in order to carry it to their hives. Bee pollen is fed to young bees and it is approximately 40% protein. Bee Pollen is one of nature's most perfect and completely nourishing foods. It contains nearly all of the nutrients required by humans. About half of its protein is in the form of free form amino acids that are ready to be used directly by the body. Such high assimilation of protein can contribute significantly to one's daily protein requirements. Bee Pollen cannot be synthesized in the laboratory. There are thousands of different nutrients in pollen that science can still not identify even with the most advanced diagnostic equipment that is available. Bee
pollen contains all the essential components of life and it corrects the deficiencies in our unbalanced foods that are common in our present day society. Bee pollen is the richest source of vitamins found in Nature in a single food. Bee pollen is extremely rich in rutin and it may have the highest rutin content of any other plant source, plus it provides a super high amount of the nucleic acids RNA [ribonucleic acid] and DNA [deoxyribonucleic acid]. Bee pollen is a complete food and it contains many more nutrients than any products of animal origin around. Bee pollen is richer in protein than any animal product, it contains more amino acids than beef, eggs, or cheese of equal weight and it is particularly concentrated with all of the elements that are necessary for life. Scientists have discovered that Bee pollen has a still undiscovered substance in it that inhibits the development of numerous harmful bacteria. Further experiments have shown bee pollen contains some sort of antibiotic factor that is effective against salmonella and several different strains of bacteria. Ingestion of Bee pollen has demonstrated that it has beneficial effect on the composition of blood - a simultaneous increase of both white and red blood cells. When bee pollen is given to anemic patients, their levels of hemoglobin [oxygencarrying red blood cells] increase considerably. When Bee pollen is added to the diet, it acts to normalize cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. When taken regularly, there is a marked reduction of cholesterol and triglycerides - high-density lipoproteins (HDL) increase while low-density lipoproteins (LDL) decrease and a normalization of blood serum cholesterol levels is also seen. According to an article called "Delay in the Appearance of Palpable Mammary Tumors in C3H Mice Following the Ingestion of PolIenized Food," by William Robinson of
the Bureau of Entomology, Agriculture Research Administration, published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute way back in October 1948, Dr. Robinson started with mice that had been specially bred to develop and subsequently die from tumors. He explains, "The age at which mice of this strain developed tumors ranged from 18 to 57 weeks, with an average appearance at 33 weeks. Tumor incidence was 100 percent." One group of mice was fed mice chow only, another group was fed mice chow with the addition of bee pollen at a ratio of 1 part bee pollen to 10,000 parts food. According to Dr Robinson, "Particular attention was given to the weight of the treated animals, since underweight can in itself bring about a delay in tumor development. No decrease in weight occurred in the animals receiving the pollenized food. Instead, a slight but fairly uniform increase was noted, possibly due to a nutritional factor in pollen. In the untreated mice (the mice not given bee pollen), mammary tumors appeared as expected at an average of 31.3 weeks. Tumor incidence was 100 percent. In the postponement series,[the mice given bee pollen], the average (onset of tumors) was 41.1 weeks, a delay of 9.8 weeks being obtained. Seven mice in this series were still tumor-free at 56 to 62 weeks of age, when the tests were terminated. I would like to emphasize that these mice were especially bred to die from cancerous tumors. Without the protection of bee pollen in their food, the mice developed tumors and died right on schedule.“ There have been numerous studies that indicate the various beneficial effects of Bee Pollen: prevention and treatment of cancers, stimulation of the immune system, treatment for infertility, allergy treatments using desensitization, asthma, bronchitis, increases of strength, and endurance in athletic performances, energy, weight control. health and beauty, cell renewal, longevity and more. It causes an increase in physical and mental abilities, activates sluggish metabolic functions, and strengthens the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Taken regularly and in sufficient amounts, bee pollen will even prolong a persons life span as has been demonstrated by countless bee keepers in Russia, the Andes and
everywhere else that bees have been kept. The most common side effect of taking Bee Pollen on a regular basis is a feeling of increased energy – both physical and mental. Bee pollen has been used successfully for the following ailments or disease-conditions: Acne, Aging (premature) Alcoholism Anemia Angina Pectoris Anorexia Anxiety Inflamed Intestines Jaundice Kwashiorkor Leukemia Liver Disorders Longevity Measles Loss of Memory Menopause Mental Retardation Migraine Headaches Bloody Mucus Multiple Sclerosis Nervous Disorders Neurasthenia Parkinson's Disease Premature/Malnourished Chronic Prostatitis Psycho-Neuralgic Disorders Psychosis Pyelonephritis Pyurea (Pus in Urine) Articular Rheumatism Rheumatoid Arthritis Rickets Sexual Disorders Sinusitis Effects of Stress Infartus Infections Infection, Intestinal Insomnia Instability Intestinal Disorders Leukemia Loss of Appetite Arteriosclerosis Asthma Atherosclerosis Brain Infection Bronchitis Buerger's Disease Burns and Scalds Cancer Capillary Fragility Cardiovascular Disorders Cavities Cerebral Hemorrhage Climacteric Disorders Colitis Convalescence Chronic Constipation General Debility Depression Diabetes Chronic Diarrhea Sigma-Diverticulosis Dysuria Enteritis Enterorenal Disorders Enuresis Ocular Fatigue Intermittent Fever

At least 25 trace elements, including all essential elements, 14 essential fatty acids including omega 3 and omega 6,
11 active enzymes or co-enzymes, large amounts of carotenoids, bioflavonoids & phytoestrogens,
11 carbohydrates, 28 minerals, 18 Amino acids and probably various other substances that have not yet been able to be discovered and identified by science. Bee pollen also has anywhere from 5,000 to 9,000 micrograms of active carotenes which are converted into vitamin A in the body. These carotenes are available in the pollen of insect-pollinated flowers, but not from windpollinated species. Carotenes (Provitamin A) are present in the Lipochrome fraction (which are xanthophyll esters), and may range from 50 to 150 micrograms per gram. The pollens richest in carotene may contain 20 times as much as is present in an equivalent weight of carrots, thereby making pollen a good source of Provitamin A. In addition to the class of carotenes, there is another group of pigments found in pollen, namely, the flavin pigments (flavones, flavonols). Vitamins found in one gram (1,000 milligrams) of fresh raw pollen: Vitamin B1 (thiamine) 9.2 mg. Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) 18.5 mg. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) 5.0 mg. Nicotinic acid 200.0 mg. Pantothenic acid 27.6 mg. Folic acid 5.0 mg. Vitamins B5, B7, B8, B9, D, E, H (biotin), K, Choline, Inositol, Folic Acid, Pantothenic Acid, Rutin, Vitamin P (nicotinicamide) Vit C 7 - 15 mg. Minerals: Bee pollen contains up to 59 different trace minerals, and all minerals found in pollen are present in a highly digestible form. Forty to fifty percent of this may be in the form of free amino acids. All pollens contain the exact same number of 22 amino acids, yet different species produce varying amounts. The amino acids found in whole dry pollen fluctuate between 10 and 13 percent (26.88% protein or albuminous substances). Tying it All Together
Either food substance, be it Bee Pollen or Chia seeds is a wonderful food all by itself. However, when you combine both in a diet and health plan – together - you can accomplish wonders. Both are high in protein value and both provide the essential nutrients that a you need to grow, stay healthy and live long. If you use both foods in combination at the same meal, you will get every single bit of nutrition that your body needs. You will naturally provide your body with every single nutrient, every vitamin, every mineral, every amino acid, every hormone and most important of all, the life force from nature that is found in the seeds and pollen of natures generous bounty. By providing your body with life, you will gradually heal yourself of most diseases, have strength and endurance and live longer, healthier and happier than you ever thought possible. You will lose weight if you are overweight, gain it if you are underweight, heal yourself if you are sick and malnourished and cleanse yourself of many modern day pollutants and poisons. One way to use this food combination is to mix a half cup of Chia Seeds with two and one half to three cups of distilled water into a glass container (you don't have to be too accurate with the water – water has no calories.) You then stir it about about with a whisk and let it sit for about 20 minutes. After it has gelled, you can add the Bee Pollen as you use it. The gel can be refrigerated and eaten several times a day as your hunger and tastes dictate. That is all that you would eat – as often as you want. You will get all the nutrition that your body needs,
get healthy AND lose weight. If this seems a bit harsh and extreme, just remind yourself of the excess weight that you carry. Just remind yourself of the ailments that you are suffering and then think again! No.., the excess weight and your diseases are more than a bit harsh and you can change all that if you want to. It's all up to you. You can sprinkle Cocoa Nibs into the mix for additional flavor. You can also mix the Chia/Bee Pollen mix with fruit or vegetable juices for additional flavor, but just make sure that the juice is NOT from concentrate. With concentrate, you never know what kind of water was used to reconstitute the juice. You can even sprinle the Chiaq seeds and Bee Pollen over a vegetable salad, using just lemon and olive oil. Just try this food combination for a week and you will be surprised at how much weight you lose. You will be surprised at how much better you feel when your body gets the best nutrients possible without the unhealthy and saturated fats and the poisons. After one week, if you want to get back to eating our modern day garbage, well..., that's up to you. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I have led you to the waters of health and life and now it's up to you as to whether you drink it or not. It's also up to you as to how long you will keep partaking of life or whether you will go back to the death and poisonous garbage you used to take before. Here's to your health. When you find that this diet plan works, and it does, but that you still miss the tastes of our modern societies' chemical foods, just make sure that you add Chia and Bee Pollen to your every meal. You won't get as healthy as quickly as you would otherwise, but at least you will still get the nutrition that your body cries out for on a daily basis. Just don't be surprised to find yourself eating less of the garbage foods, since your body won't scream in anger and pain at you, praying that you will fill it up with more and still more foods because your body needs the healthy
nutrients – it will already get all of the nutrients from the Chia and Bee Pollen. Any additional eating that you may do will be from either habit or unique taste desires, not need. Three very generous servings of this food every day would provide you with approximately 400 calories for the day. That is more than adequate for anyone to lose weight, while still getting all the nutrients, vitamins, natural hormones, essential fatty acids.., everything that they need to optimize their daily nutritional intake while losing fat and eliminating the poisons that the body stores in the fat cells. If, like most people in our western society who feel that if a little of something is good then more should be better, then take a more. This diet will not cause you to overdose and die, unlike what the drugs from our government sanctioned money labs do. Can twice or even three times or more of the 400 calories a day that this natural diet plan provides cause any harm? I seriously doubt it. The LD50 of this diet would have to be about a ton of each nutrient daily and even then, a person would die only because by eating a ton of each item – Chia and Bee Pollen daily they would be to heavy to walk or roll out of the way of a speeding Drug Company truck heading right at them. To your health and a longer and more invigorating life for all. Bogdan Bilyk

Postscript Well.., I've lost a lot of weight. I used to weigh over 360 lbs. before and now I fluctuate between 220 and 225 lbs. As for my love life.., well, it could be better. My ex girlfriend told me that my excess weight was only one issue that I had to deal with. Now I have an additional problem that I have to fix too – my attitude, lol. And so.., I guess that I will now have to come up with some type of formula for that too, lol. Until then, I'm going to keep losing a bit more weight, exercise and try to get down to about 170/175 lbs. That and a change of attitude should help me get laid a heck of a lot more in the future, lol.
