Albany County Bullying Task Force Launches Campaign
One in three students is the victim of bullying or harassment. This past year, Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy assembled a Bullying Prevention Task Force to create awareness about the impact of bullying and what can be done to help stop it. Join County Executive McCoy, Albany County Legislators Mary Lou B. Connolly and Lee Carman, Guilderland Town Supervisor Ken Runion and the Bullying Prevention Task Force to hear what is being th done on Monday, September 30 at the Farnsworth Middle School at 10 a.m. The Task Force provides free programs and trainings for all students, faculty and caregivers on bullying prevention and creates a safe and positive environment for kids. It is alarming that 71 percent of students report incidents of bullying as a problem at their school. With this in mind, our main goal is to provide and promote kindness and respect for all. Take a stand, lend a hand!
