, Bill Meiser, Bob Mongold, Mike Ralph, Dee Reitzi, Chris Sattele, Paula Staub, and Heidi Zula. Barricades are to remain around the common area at MAMS so that there are no open areas exposed. The custodians were given a direction by Mr. Meiser to ensure these barricades remain in place until a more permanent option can be made. We are looking into the possibility of installing bright yellow aggressive tape at the top of each step. The Safety and Security manual needs updated. There will be an addition to the manual, requesting that teachers glance outside of their classrooms before closing their doors, this will ensure students are not left in the hallway. Mr. Meiser and Dr. Hunter are working on this in order to implement the manual for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year. A reminder email will be sent out to the building Principals requesting they perform their severe weather drill and lock down drill each quarter during the year. Mr. Meiser would like to ensure the 1st lock down drill takes place in each building, within the first three weeks of school do everyone can become acclimated with the proper procedures. The District is taking suggestions from staff members and compiling them into ways that we can provide the best security measures for our buildings. The outside buzzers and the ways we are allowing people in the building is a concern. It’s been suggested that we ask the individuals name and the nature of their visit before buzzing them in. There will be a very lengthy discussion at the upcoming B & G meeting of being more diligent in this matter. The meeting adjourned at 11:00 AM. Next meeting is scheduled for February 13th, 2013 at 9:30 AM in the Fink Elementary Conference Room. A building tour will immediately follow the meeting.
