MILITARY OPERATIONS AT PTA


Traffic Delays on Saddle Road

POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, HAWAII – Several US Army units will be


convoying between Kawaihae Docks and Pohakuloa Training Area during the next two
weeks.
Kawaihae to PTA
On Nov. 13 at approximately 11 a.m. 51 vehicles, divided into five serials will depart
Kawaihae Docks en route to PTA.
PTA to Kawaihae
On Nov.19 at approximately 3 p.m. 20 vehicles, divided into two serials, will depart PTA
en route to Kawaihae Docks
On Nov. 20 at approximately 8:30 a.m. one ten-vehicle convoy departs PTA for
Kawaihae.
On Nov. 21 at approximately 11 a.m. a 34-vehicle convoy, divided into four serials
departs PTA for Kawaihae.
On Nov. 24 at approximately 9 a.m. 51 vehicles, divided into five serials, departs PTA for
Kawaihae.
NOTE: Vehicles listed above will also be towing trailers as part of the vehicle
package.
The Department of Army police at PTA have worked closely with local authorities and
the US Army Reserve to coordinate this activity. Motorists are advised to be alert and
drive with care.
