Schofield Barracks Soldiers Die in Iraq

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii – The Department of Defense announced today the death of two
soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pfc. David C. Armstrong, 21, of Zanesville, Ohio, died Feb. 1 in Baghdad, Iraq, from non-combat
related causes. Armstrong was assigned to the 57th Military Police Company, 8th Military Police
Brigade, 8th Theater Support Command. He joined the Army in March 2005.

Pfc. Kenneth T. Butler, 21, of East Liverpool, Ohio, died Feb. 1 in Baghdad, Iraq, from non-combat
related causes. Butler was assigned to the 57th Military Police Company, 8th Military Police Brigade,
8th Theater Support Command. He joined the Army in March 2005.

The incident is under investigation.
