In August of 2013, St. John’s Hospital employee Lisa Kiel was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with an Inversion 16 marker and FLT3 mutation. Since this diagnosis, Lisa has completed her induction of chemotherapy and has eliminated the leukemia cells. However, due to the mutation, the leukemia cells will continue to return until Lisa finds a bone marrow match. Register for Be The Match and help people, like Lisa, find their match!
