STATUS T P U (circle) CONDITION: The treatment squad/team is prepared to provide health service support for all operations of the supported battalion--on both integrated and nonintegrated battlefields. The treatment teams work from mobile treatment facilities (tailgate medicine) and from established battalion aid stations. Treatment teams operate together or independently in the battalion aid station (-) mode. Emergency resuscitative or life-sustaining treatment is performed at the battalion aid station. TASK STANDARD: 1. The medical platoon provides all casualties with emergency medical treatment (EMT) in accordance with the priority assigned by a treatment team member. 2. During and after triage, the medical platoon provides patients with emergency medical treatment that includes maintenance of the airway, control of hemorrhage, and control of severe pain.
