ELEVATOR HINGE

Elevator hinge consist of two part the center stem and lugs. Elevator hinge expose to the shear stress and torsion stress. Both stress applied when pressure try to separate the join. Shear stresses produce between the stem and lug that hold the outboard and inboard elevator with the stabilizer. Then torsion stress affect the stem when the outboard or inboard move.

HORIZONTAL STABILIZER FAIRING At flight. the horizontal stabilizer fairing faces the pressure with the combination of ribs and skin. . The applied pressure exerts a compression stress to the ribs.

TRAILING EDGE BEAM Trailing edge beam exposed to the two types of stress. The tension stress from it stems attach to the other part and by shear stress between cap and skin. .
