Workshop Design: Resilience to Repression
1. Go round - name, where you’re from, why you are here, one example of repression that you’ve experienced, heard of or witnessed 2. Intro to me, why I’m doing this workshop 3. Popcorn with scribing on flipchart paper in the middle: How did it make you feel? How did it effect your organising? 4. Split into small groups & discuss these points: A. States and corporations only repress groups and movements that use violent tactics B. States and corporations only repress groups and movements that use illegal tactics C. States and corporations only repress groups and movements that are being effective D. States and corporations only repress groups and movements that threaten their social and economic power which are related to their interests 5. Group feedback and discussion 6. Final group discussion: How can we be more resilient to repression?
