THE SCRIPTURE...............Ashley Nance Ephesians 1:11-23 THE ANTHEM......Chancel Choir Sing Me to Heaven Daniel E. Gawthrop
In my heart's sequestered chambers lie truths stripped of poet's gloss. Words alone are vain and vacant and my heart is mute. In response to aching silence memory summons half-heard voices, and my soul finds primal eloquence and wraps me in song. If you would comfort me, sing me a lullaby. If you would win my heart, sing me a love song. If you would mourn me and bring me to God, sing me a requiem, sing me to heaven. Touch in me all love and passion, pain and pleasure, grief and comfort. Sing me a lullaby, a love song, a requiem. Love me, comfort me, bring me to God: sing me a love song, sing me to heaven. -Jane Griner

*THE CALL TO WORSHIP.....Ashley Nance Leader: Gathered in Christs name we celebrate! People: We celebrate the great cloud of witnesses that have paved the road for our faith. Leader: In the company of saints we rejoice. People: Together in all times and places we sing praises to our God. *THE HYMN OF PRAISE AND ADORATION............................No. 637 For All the Saints *THE INVOCATION AND LORDS PRAYER (In Unison) God of the ages, you have blessed us with saints all our lives: those who put up with us, and those who prepared us for discipleship; those who have touched us with their compassion, and those who light the way for us. Surround us this morning with that cloud of witnesses that we might remember them and celebrate their faithfulness to you. Strengthen us to tread the path they have laid for us and to be an example of faithfulness for our children and our childrens children and ages to come. We pray this in the name of Jesus, the pioneer of our faith, who taught us to pray for your Kingdom saying, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. *THE GLORIA PATRI...No. 36 THE LIFE OF THE CHURCH..............Owen Cayton

Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. He that in sorrow soweth shall reap in joy, who goeth forth in weeping and beareth forth good seed shall doubtless come again with joy, and bring his sheaves with him. -Matthew 5:4, Psalm 126:5-6
