management procedures is essential,
not only to your success as a leader but more
importantly your units survival on the
battlefield. Knowing your property and
properly managing it will lead to a successful
deployment and redeployment of your unit.

Property management procedures, roles,


and responsibilities are predetermined and
outlined in your units Tactical Standard
Operating Procedure (TACSOP), unit supply
SOP, policy letters, memorandums of
agreement, and various regulations.

Your units TACSOP provides strategic


guidance to accomplish unit missions. It
also provides the framework for internal and
external procedures established for your units
property management while conducting
operations in a tactical environment.

Your unit supply SOP provides procedural


guidance on the daily operation of your unit
supply room during garrison or tactical
operations. These procedures are
incorporated into your unit TACSOP.

Policy letters establish command policy that


allows subordinate leaders to develop
programs to meet mission objectives. Policy
letters may change or have a crucial impact
on your units property management
procedures.

Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) establish
a mutual framework governing the respective
organizational relationships, responsibilities,
and activities between your unit and
organizations external to your unit. The areas
of responsibility and relationships contained in
the MOA provide the concept under which
agreements will be executed.

are the basis from which all property
management procedural guidance is derived.
