Step 2: Cut your fabric using the following measurements: Fabric Measurement for 2 Side-by-side Curtains:

X + 11”

Step 3: Fold and iron the top and bottom for each curtain: Fold the top down 1.5” and iron. Then fold down again 3” and iron. 3” 1.5”

Step 4: Fold and iron the sides for each curtain: Fold the each side in ¾” and iron. Then fold in again ¾” and fold again.

Optional Step: Add a Lining or Blackout Layer: Cut a piece of lining out with the dimensions X and Y and hem the bottom edge*. On your main curtain piece, Sew along the top edge of your bottom fold to keep it in place (do not sew the sides yet).

*I hem the bottom edge by turning it over ¼” twice and then sewing down the edge.

Insert your blackout layer under the top edge and side edges of the main curtain piece.

Then sew the sides and edges down.

Step 5: Sewing your edges: I use a slip stitch and sew the sides by hand (a slip stitch will barely be visible from the front of the curtains).
