CORPSMET Geospatial Metadata

File Generator

Description CORPSMET95, version 1.2, is a Windows-based program which allows users to build
Geospatial Metadata Files based on the Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Meta-
data published by the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC). CORPSMET steps
the user through each section of the Content Standard. The Graphical User Interface
provides the user with information about each element as it is being entered, has pick-
lists in the form of scrolling menus, and allows the user to read in ASCII data from ex-
isting files for elements such as abstracts and summaries. In addition to its utility as a
tool to create metadata, CORPSMET is also a useful tool to familiarize yourself with
the numerous aspects of metadata
