Teacher and pupils discuss the findings.

Teacher questions:

you immerse it in the hot water and
why?
2. What others matter that can melting
when heated?
3. What happen if water puts in the
freezer?

Answer the question below based on your observations.

3
1. What happened to the ice cubes after 5 minutes?

2. In your opinions, why does the ice cubes become _____________(As your answer in
question 1)?

3. What does melting means?

4. What are the causes of ice’s melting?

5. When we heating up the ice, predict what happen to the ice cube?

APPENDIX B

Topic : Ice Melting

Objectives : Investigate the fastest way to melt the ice cube.

Apparatus : Plastic bags, ice cube, cylinder

Work step :
4
1. Put the ice cubes in the plastic bag, then tie up the plastic bag
by using a rubber band.(the size and amount of ice cube must
be constant)

2. Place the plastic bag according to your choices of place.

3. You will investigate in how to make the ice cubes melting

faster.

4. After 20 minutes, pour out all of the water inside the plastic
bag into the cylinder.

5. Record the volume of water that you find out.
