Dear Parents, the following concepts and activities will be taught in Grade 6 English from Monday, November 10 to Thursday, November 14.

Writing Grammar

-Writing Informational Text -Reviewing / Editing / Final draft -Present Simple Tense

-Encourage them to to read informational articles in - Notes in copybooks, graphic organizers and newspapers and magazines. checklists -Review the notes in the copybook -Help your child to complete the grammar homework. -Encourage them to proofread their work -Notes in copybooks -Homework will be sent home to practice relative clauses and homophones -Notes in copybooks

Punctuation

Review the basic punctuation (capitals, full stops, commas)

*Please note that the English Quiz has been moved to Sunday, November 17. (The syllabus includes: Relative Clauses Homophones Spelling able words). Classwork and Homework Worksheets will also be uploaded at www.aldhafra6english.blogspot.ae for you to refer and download.
