Students will be able to draw a picture of a natural resource and write what we use the natural resource for and why it is important to conserve it. Students must be able to identify what the natural resources are and how they can use and reuse the resources. The students must know what an environment is and how they affect the environment. Work with the students to discover the definition of Natural Resources. Break down Natural Resources to define what natural means and what resources means. Held up pictures of a tree, an animal, water, and soil and had one student at a time come to the chart to place the picture under the Natural Resource side. They say what the picture is and tape it to the chart.

lesson. After the natural resources are up, one student at a time will come to the chart to describe what a picture of the use of natural resource is then tape it up. Students will draw one of the natural resources listed and will write two sentences: what is that resource used for, and why it is important to conserve it. To wrap up the lesson, we will go through the list of natural resources and their uses again. I will individually check the students notebook where the assignment is completed and discuss their work with them.

Some students have difficulty writing, therefore, they will be able to speak the sentences to the teacher. Some students may learn and retain information better through different learning styles, therefore, they will be able to choose how to display the information learned, whether it be a song, an action, or verbal.
